After posting the editor and thumbnail designer recruitment announcements, several people contacted me.

[I’m contacting you after seeing the editor recruitment announcement.]

[I’m sending an email because you said you’re recruiting an editor!]

[How much is the pay if I become an editor?]

“…Tsk.”

The inbox was mainly filled with contacts from editors.

Some emails were normal application emails, but not all of them were.

Asking about the pay right away was basic, and some people didn’t attach videos that could be used as a portfolio, and some people claimed to have edited videos with just subtitles on videos that hadn’t been edited at all.

Do they think work is a joke?

Since the people who are interested in this kind of thing and are trying to do it are mostly young friends, they can’t help but be inexperienced in those areas.

I wanted to just ignore those emails and blindly pick the people who had prepared a proper portfolio, but I couldn’t do that.

Of course, those proper people are basically expensive.

These people know their worth very clearly, and there were quite a few cases where they raised the pay and called if they thought the other person didn’t know anything.

To show you simply, it’s like this.

[I have worked as an editor on YouTuber Witch-nim, Na Hee-nim, and Siwoo-nim]

First, they explain how great they are, listing the people they have already worked with, and

[I can handle Illustration Shop, Premium Master, and Forward Effect]

They list the programs and qualifications they can use, and

[I have been active as an editor for a long time and have accumulated a rich database of background music, sound effects, and meme materials.]

They appeal to how much material they have as an editor.

Well…

It’s a perfectly fine email, except that they often exaggerate themselves too much.

It’s also important to appeal yourself in a capitalist society.

But

[The pay is set at 20,000 won per minute for general videos, and there is an additional charge for videos that require special production-]

I don’t have the money to hire such a great editor.

If I had the money, I would have hired an editor a long time ago and ran a YouTube channel, I wouldn’t have edited it myself while splitting my sleep.

Moreover, there was another problem with the people who were submitting these application emails even though they had the skills.

Why did they apply to the job advertisement I posted even though they had the skills in the first place?

I’ve been doing well on the broadcast recently, but am I a client who is so attractive…?

To put it bluntly, I’m not.

If you only consider the scale of the broadcast, it might be okay, but

[Noonaaaaa…. My there is strange…]

[Noona, become my sea]

[What color panties are you wearing today?]

[Don’t whine about being tired, just squeeze out a glass of milk]

[Wow, is this even human control lololol? He’s not even human lololol]

[ㅗㅜㅑㅗㅜㅑ Please degrade me more Heuung…]

[Hiroya… don’t you know how to avoid it?]

[Noona, move your hand, I can’t see your chest]

[I’m going to chat with one hand for a second]

It takes a lot of brainstorming to edit the videos of this broadcast where this sh*t is happening.

Nevertheless, if they are a skilled editor who came to edit the videos of my broadcast and is currently unemployed, there is a high probability that it is one of two things.

They were fired for causing some kind of accident and are urgently looking for a job, or
The videos and email contents they sent as a portfolio are an exaggeration close to fraud.

There was a possibility that they were just a skilled pervert, but if that were the case, they would have sent the edited version of my broadcast as a portfolio video.

It was an editor recruitment advertisement that I posted hoping that a skilled pervert who likes me among the people who watch my broadcast would be hooked, but it seems that it was a waste.

Sigh.

Since my first attempt went awry, the only option left for me was

To find and pick an amateur editor who is not a proper professional editor, but at least edits videos better than me,
And among them, someone who has the social skills to not run away without saying anything.

In short, it was the story that I had to sell my feet to distinguish the jade from the stones.

Let’s find someone who can edit properly, who edits as a hobby, but is currently unemployed.

Thinking so, I looked through the emails one by one, but

[Hello Hiro-nim! I’m a high school student who wants to be Hiro-nim’s editor, will you buy me a computer for editing if I become an editor?]

[If I edit this, it takes about 10 hours per episode, so you’re going to pay me 100,000 won each time, calculated at the minimum wage, right?]

[I’m applying because I heard you’re recruiting an editor! Is it okay if I learn one by one and work even though I’ve never edited before?]

Are these guys serious?

Looking at the emails from young friends who are so out of touch with reality, I felt like I was going to lose my mind.

Well yeah

[Hello Hiro-nim, I’m contacting you after seeing the thumbnail designer recruitment advertisement.]

[When signing a thumbnail outsourcing contract, all copyrights belong to me, and the price is set at 100,000 won per thumbnail-]

It wasn’t easy in this area where inquiries were mainly coming through SNS either.

The price is set at the outsourcing price, and it’s also set at a very high price, and all copyrights belong to them…

They seemed to want to take all the money with the outsourcing price and the rights with the commission method.

Seeing them say this with sincerity, well… it’s a sad story, but even if you sign a contract with a professional illustrator, they don’t do that.

It’s unlikely that a professional illustrator would draw thumbnails anyway.

The more I looked at it, the more I sighed.

In the first place, if there is no problem with a video editor or an illustrator, they are expensive, and if the pay is right, there is bound to be a problem somewhere.

It’s a natural market logic.

To follow that natural market logic, I eventually had to compromise somewhere.

The conclusion I reached was

“…Let’s just raise them.”

Finding and nurturing promising talents who are not yet excellent, but have potential.

An editor who shows potential but has not yet been refined, and
An illustrator who draws well in terms of the drawing itself, but is weak in commercial appeal

“I have more work to do…”

How nice would it be if talent just fell from the sky, but that’s not going to happen, so I’ll have to sell my feet again.

Still, just in case, I pressed the refresh button on the internet window.

[Hiro-nim, I’m really confident, can you rate my face?]

Damn it.

A certain villa in Songnam-gu, Seoul.

“Ah sht, you play the game so shttily, really!”

The room was filled with curses and the sound of buttons being pressed.

“No, is this bastard using a special move? Is this bastard crazy!”
“Grab… no sh*t, I pressed it! Why doesn’t it release!!”

The owner of the voice was venting his anger on the innocent joystick and was too immersed in the game.

[~♪♬]

In the meantime, the phone rang, so I unconsciously glanced at it and

“Phone? …Ah, hey! No wait ah!!!”

In the meantime, the game ended because of the opponent’s attack that came in.

“Ah sh*t… who is it?”

She picked up the phone irritably.

In the end, she lost the game because of her lack of skill, but she seemed to want to blame someone.

The phone she picked up had ‘Game Noob’ written on it.

“Hello?”

“Hey, Cha In-a. Are you free?”

“I’m free b”
“I’m looking for an editor and an illustrator right now?”

“No, why did you ask if you’re not going to listen to the answer?”

The woman called Cha In-a pressed her temples with the hand that wasn’t holding the phone.

“Do you know any editors or illustrators?”

Cha In was fed up with the other person who was rushing to the point from the start and leaned back in her chair and gave her answer.

“Would I?”

“You’re not helpful.”

“Hey, why are you acting up again?”

“It’s nothing, I’m going to meet the editor and the illustrator, do you want to come?”

No, why did you ask if you’ve already found them?

I had that thought, but I didn’t bother to argue.

“Why would I go?”

“You’re a manager anyway, so I’m just saying let’s meet once.”

Song Cha-in thought.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been a manager, so wouldn’t it be bad to meet her once?

At the same time, I was worried about what it would be like if I actually met her when she was acting like this on the phone.

“Hmm…”

Hiro started a cam broadcast now, but she’s such a mysterious person, so I was curious.

There was no one else who had met Hiro in person yet, so I was curious in many ways.

In particular, I was curious about whether that chest was real.

“Okay well, I’ll see her once.”

“Okay, let’s meet at City Hall Station at 2 PM on Saturday.”

“Saturday at 2 PM?”

“…”

“Today is Friday?”

“That’s right, let’s meet tomorrow.”

“Hey you…!”

I was going to curse at her at least once, but the phone had already been hung up.

Song Cha-in closed her eyes on the reclined chair and thought.

“Tomorrow’s schedule… I didn’t have any, right?”

Cha In confirmed in her head that there was no schedule for tomorrow and roughly threw her cell phone on the bed.

[HERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER!!]

Then she grabbed the joystick again.

“You only scratch the bottom 6 times? Is this bastard crossing the line?”
