The girl, recently released by the Teutonics, awoke in her home. She sighed, touching her face.
It felt unreal, as if she had merely dreamt it all. Yet, she was truly alive, back home.
Clenching her fists, she dressed and composed herself. Then, she pushed open her door, ready to venture out.
As was her routine, upon reaching her doorstep, the girl opened the mailbox to check its contents.
Peering inside, she was startled to find a letter indeed resting within.
Curiously, she retrieved it, tearing open the envelope. Her brow furrowed; the letter bore no signature. Who could have sent it?
Taking out the letter, the girl began to read its contents.
“The arrested members of the rescue team refuse to yield. The organization has decided to hold its ground and will soon dispatch a new team for rescue. All units are to maintain silence and await contact — Purburg Patriot Alliance.”
The girl gasped, quickly hiding the letter behind her back. She glanced around, and once certain no one had noticed her, she swiftly turned and hurried back into her home.
A sharp intake of breath escaped her.
Back inside, the girl was still trembling with a lingering fear. ‘Wh-what is going on?’
Purburg Patriot Alliance? What kind of organization was that, and how had she become involved?
‘I… I haven’t joined any organization at all. How could I be connected to some Patriot Alliance?’
‘Thankfully… thankfully, no one noticed. Otherwise, this single letter would be enough to ruin me.’
But…
‘How did I receive a letter from this organization?’
‘W-was it sent to the wrong person?’
The girl could only rationalize it this way. She glanced at the letter again, confirming that the recipient was indeed herself, before quickly burning the paper.
Even so, the incident left the girl with a profound sense of dread, her scalp prickling.
She sank onto the sofa, taking a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart. She continuously reassured herself.
‘It’s nothing, that… it’s nothing. No one should have noticed me, no one will notice.’
Self-hypnotizing, the girl struggled to compose herself. After a long while, she closed her eyes, finally calming down.
Sigh…
The tavern was closed now anyway. ‘Forget it, I won’t think about it anymore. I’ll… I’ll find a job first.’

This same scene was simultaneously unfolding elsewhere in Purburg.
Another girl opened her mailbox, noticing a letter inside.
She first glanced left and right, ensuring no one was paying attention, before discreetly taking out the letter.
Hiding it in her pocket, she turned and found a secluded corner. She retrieved the letter, skillfully tore it open, and began to scrutinize its information.
With one hand clutching the paper and a finger tracing the words, she read meticulously for a moment. A cunning glint flashed in her eyes.
She immediately returned home, pulled out her equipment, and with a series of beeps and taps, swiftly sent a telegram.
Huff…

“Mmm… Fran~”
In the mansion, the silver-haired girl, Yuli, was sprawled comfortably on her maid’s bed, rolling around. She mumbled, even speaking the name of the person beside her.
Lazily, she opened her eyes. The first thing she saw was Fran’s adorable sleeping face, tinged with a slight blush.
He looked like a ripe apple, tempting her to take a bite.
Except… ‘Why did his posture feel a little strange?’
‘Why were his hands clasped together above his head?’
The girl, looking utterly bewildered, gazed upwards. Then… she noticed the red ribbon on Fran’s hands.
With a jolt, her memories of last night, along with the current reality of her disheveled state lying on Fran’s bed, suddenly became crystal clear.
A wave of embarrassment washed over the girl, her face flushing crimson. She quickly sat up from the bed, then frantically straightened her clothes.
It was at this moment that Fran also awoke, his eyes squinting. He stared blankly at Yuli, momentarily believing he was still dreaming.
“Fran…”
Yuli’s face was red, her voice barely a whisper, as if she didn’t quite know how to explain the situation.
“Yu… Yuli?”
Fran shot up, leaning against the headboard, creating some distance between himself and Yuli. His head still throbbed faintly, but that was no longer important. The boy, trembling slightly, leaned against the headboard and called out to the girl before him:
“Yuli… Sister Yuli, how did you get into my room? I…” The more the boy thought, the more wrong it felt, the more aggrieved he became. Finally, he bowed his head and cried out helplessly, “You… you promised you wouldn’t lay a hand on me even if you got drunk!”
“Chirp, chirp, chirp…”
The silver-haired girl looked towards the window, imitating a bird’s call, feigning innocence. Yet, her eyes were filled with guilt. After a moment, she finally retorted defensively:
“No… that’s not it. Fran was drunk too. Hmm… who knows who made the first move? Besides… nothing too drastic… happened, did it?”
“You were the one who made the first move! And you even argued that if I couldn’t see you doing it, it didn’t count! Woo—”
Fran immediately countered, clutching his head and continuing to whine with injustice.
Yuli sheepishly turned her head away. The two fell silent for a moment. After a while, Yuli turned back, extending a hand. Fran flinched, shrinking back in fear.
Yuli shook her head helplessly, then pointed to the ribbon on his wrist. She whispered, “I’ll help you untie this…”
Uh…
Fran felt a little embarrassed. He extended his hand, and Yuli deftly moved her fingers, finally breaking the seal.
Good heavens, Fran quickly flexed his freed hands. Hmm, it had left marks.
The girl awkwardly turned her head away and sniffled, but then she suddenly caught a strange scent. A deep blush rose to her face as she stammered to Fran, “I… I’m going to change clothes…”
Before Fran could react, he saw the girl run off.
‘Strange…’
The boy lowered his head in exasperation, sighing.
‘It’s over. I absolutely cannot drink with that idiot Yuli again. She turns into a completely different person after drinking, becoming… a terrifying bad woman?’
‘If she hadn’t suddenly fallen asleep last night, the consequences would have been unimaginable.’
Hmm…
Speaking of which…
‘I guess I need to change clothes too.’
After Fran tidied himself up and folded the clothes he had taken off, he opened his wardrobe, only to find that there were truly no men’s clothes left inside.
Having no other option, Fran put on a maid’s outfit, as it was the attire he was more accustomed to.
Emerging from the room, Fran checked the situation downstairs. Quidar was sitting impatiently in the hall. He turned around, only to see Yuli, now dressed in conservative attire, standing before him.
“Fran, let’s go. We’re too late. The morning meeting is a bit delayed.”
She pulled Fran downstairs. Quidar greeted Yuli as usual, but this time, his tone was particularly sarcastic, a strange laugh escaping him.
“Good morning, Station Master, and… Secretary Fran. You must have had a tough night.”
Yuli’s expression turned somewhat grim. She sat in the main chair, crossed her legs, and retorted dismissively, “Not tough at all. It was just a perfectly ordinary meal. What’s so tough about that?”
As the tension between them escalated, Lyon coincidentally walked over. Fran raised an eyebrow, feeling a sense of confusion…
‘Strange, Lyon, why is he late too?’
Fran acutely sensed something amiss and quietly moved closer to Yuli.
