“…Shouldn’t you be heading to work already?”
“Come here.”
“…”
“I said come.”
A game of tag completely inappropriate for their age had been going on since morning. As usual, the culprit was Chae Woo-seok.
More specifically, he was chasing after Go Ha-jin because he insisted on checking his condition.
“Seriously, I’m fine today…”
Who knew their own body better than themselves?
But what had started out feeling like a variety show suddenly turned into a documentary the moment Woo-seok’s expression changed. Ha-jin had been darting around so quickly that catching him wasn’t easy, and eventually Woo-seok resorted to threats.
The look on his face was intimidating enough that Ha-jin had no choice but to obey.
Dragging his feet, he approached with a pout.
“Your ass.”
At this point, surrender was easier.
Letting out a deep sigh, Ha-jin climbed onto the edge of the bed on his knees and immediately bared his backside.
Watching from behind, Woo-seok instantly regretted making him do that.
Curled up with only his pale, round ass sticking up in the air, Ha-jin looked unnecessarily obscene.
“I told you, it’s fine.”
The tightly closed entrance hidden between his cheeks looked perfectly normal even to the naked eye.
So normal, in fact, that it made Woo-seok want to shove himself inside immediately.
But if he simply said, “Looks fine,” he wouldn’t get even this brief bit of morning entertainment.
And who knew what the inside looked like?
So he deliberately pretended something seemed wrong.
Pressing a finger firmly against the sensitive opening, he spoke.
“I think it looks a little off. Just a little.”
“Stay still. I need to put some medicine on it.”
Now Ha-jin was confused.
If Woo-seok was so worried about it, maybe he should stop pounding into him like a madman during s*x.
Or go get that steel-pipe-sized d*ck trimmed down somewhere.
‘No…’
‘Actually, never mind.’
‘Scratch that thought.’
Either way, it made no sense.
When they were having s*x, he treated the place like he wanted to tear it apart.
Yet afterward, he always fussed over him so carefully.
“Ah- !”
The cold sensation of a finger slipping inside drew a small m*an from Ha-jin.
At the same moment…
Smack!
A sharp sting exploded across one of his cheeks.
“You’re getting turned on by yourself again. Stay still. I’m treating you.”
Ah.
Why hadn’t he used any of those paddles and riding crops they bought yesterday?
Looking at the reddening skin before him, Woo-seok felt genuine regret.
The sight alone made him want to pull out his finger and replace it with something else entirely.
Still, he could feel the inner walls were slightly swollen.
That realization made him restrain himself.
Even though it was morning and he was hard enough to hurt.
The swollen warmth itself was tempting.
Like slipping a hand into a cozy winter glove.
Fearing his self-control might reach its limit, he finished the treatment quickly.
“Be careful. Don’t sit for too long.”
“It’s… over?”
“You sound disappointed. After all that screaming about how much you hated it.”
“Disappointed? Not at all! Not even a little!”
Watching Ha-jin pull his pants back on and hide his a*s again left a bitter taste in Woo-seok’s mouth.
For the sake of future s*x, he couldn’t let that body get hurt.
There was no helping it.
Wait.
Why did that matter?
Their marriage wasn’t even real.
When the time came, they would separate without looking back.
So what if Ha-jin got a little damaged?
For a moment, the thought sounded awful even to him.
But it wasn’t exactly wrong, either.
“What are you thinking so hard about? Aren’t you going to work?”
“It’s nothing.”
The feeling was strange.
Why had he not wanted Ha-jin to get hurt?
Judging the thought unimportant, he shook it away.
‘Whatever.’

“The gallery’s opening exhibition is being reorganized, Father. Considering the company’s image, I don’t think we should hold an exhibition that could cause controversy in the current climate.”
Lee Ah-seong had spent several days bedridden.
The shock of being thoroughly outplayed by Go Ha-jin had hit him harder than expected.
Never in his life had he made such a spectacle of himself.
And to have a weakness exposed by a young omega like that…
Even the art center director position irritated him.
Chae Jae-yi was his sore spot.
His eldest daughter had no ability, no assets, and no prospects.
He felt sorry for her, so he had wanted to give her at least that one thing.
Yet Ha-jin had snatched it away so easily.
The grand opening she had anticipated for so long now felt unbearable.
It was like preparing an extravagant feast only to hand it over to someone else.
“That’s… Haa. Forget it. Do as you want.”
And now Ha-jin wanted the opening exhibition to feature artwork created with disabled children.
Ah-seong could hardly believe it.
This was supposed to be a grand, elegant showcase filled with magnificent works.
Instead, he was pushing something like this.
Ever since before marriage, Ha-jin had been obsessed with charity.
The habit clearly hadn’t disappeared.
But thanks to that damned weakness hanging over him, Ah-seong couldn’t voice his dissatisfaction.
“By the way.”
“Yes?”
Just accepting everything quietly left a bitter taste in his mouth.
After taking a sip of his cold coffee, Ah-seong spoke carefully, making sure it wouldn’t sound like he was picking a fight.
“Still no news about a child?”
“Ah…”
“No matter how far apart your buildings are, I hear things. You and Woo-seok aren’t even on bad terms anymore, are you? Then why is there still no news?”
Recently, something strange had been happening.
There had been multiple occasions when Woo-seok was definitely spending time with Ha-jin, yet photos of him supposedly elsewhere appeared online and in the media.
Ah-seong had dismissed it as tabloid nonsense.
Still, it seemed to have convinced him that the couple’s relationship wasn’t terrible.
“…Does Team Leader Yang report on our s*x life too?”
“You don’t need to know that.”
Ah-seong wasn’t particularly interested in their bedroom activities.
What he cared about was whether they were neglecting their duty to produce an heir for the Chae family.
If they were secretly using contraception, or if their relationship was so poor they weren’t sleeping together at all, that would be a problem.
Of course, hearing reports about soaked bedsheets and the two of them disappearing into their room for hours on end made him want to tear his hair out.
But still.
“Haa… I know, right? Woo-seok keeps wasting his energy elsewhere. Maybe he’s scattering his seed in all the wrong places. I’m upset too, Father.”
Ha-jin was dumbfounded.
They hadn’t even been married that long, and already people were talking about children.
Omega pregnancy rates weren’t particularly high.
Even dominant omegas weren’t guaranteed quick success.
But Ah-seong undoubtedly had arguments prepared against any such excuse.
So Ha-jin chose a different tactic.
Blame Woo-seok.
Simple.
After all, according to his forged medical records, Ha-jin supposedly had exceptionally high fertility.
“…Well, you’re both young. Good news will come eventually.”
That damned son.
For once, Ah-seong genuinely disliked Woo-seok.
Out of everyone he could resemble, he had inherited the worst traits of his father.
No matter how much Ah-seong disliked Ha-jin, any child of the family had to come from the legal spouse.
He absolutely could not tolerate Woo-seok causing problems outside the marriage.
One Chae Jun-seok was enough.
He never wanted to see another situation like that.
Already annoyed that he’d failed to gain anything from the conversation, Ah-seong suddenly heard a voice he didn’t want to hear.
“Hey!”
The door to the director’s office burst open.
Chae Jae-yi.
The real source of all his problems.
If he’d ignored her suggestions from the beginning, none of this would have happened.
It was Jae-yi who had proposed framing Ha-jin as a thief.
At the time it had seemed like a harmless prank.
Now…
“Well? Dad’s here too?”
“I told you to stay out of trouble, and already- !”
“Welcome, Noona. Have a seat. I’ll get you some coffee.”
Ha-jin didn’t even frown.
That irritated Jae-yi even more.
He was being far too polite.
Especially considering how completely different he acted when they were alone.
“Sure. Coffee from my dear ‘real-estate tycoon second brother-in-law’? How could I refuse? Thanks in advance, Ha-jin.”
It was strange.
Jae-yi’s voice sounded unusually friendly.
There was no venom in her expression.
She genuinely seemed pleased.
“Have you eaten?”
“Oddly enough, I’m full without eating today. Maybe it’s because I got to see the face of my ‘real-estate tycoon second brother-in-law.’”
She laughed brightly.
Yet something about it felt wrong.
Dangerous.
His instincts screamed a warning.
Glancing at Ah-seong, Ha-jin shot Jae-yi a look.
What are you doing? Want to die?
Jae-yi’s smile only widened.
She brushed her long hair back and rummaged through her handbag.
Then she pulled out her phone.
“I found something really interesting.”
Perching on the armrest beside Ha-jin, she thrust the screen toward him.
A photograph filled the display.
At first he couldn’t make sense of it.
The image was blurry.
“What is this?”
A person.
A man, maybe.
Lying in a hospital bed connected to life-support equipment.
The background looked like a hospital room.
Jae-yi laughed so hard her entire body shook.
Then she gradually leaned closer.
The heavy scent of perfume and cosmetics was nauseating.
Her hair brushed his face.
Even her breath made the hairs on his body stand up.
Bringing her crimson lips close to his ear, she whispered in a voice too low for Ah-seong to hear.
“Why don’t you recognize him?”
Her lips curved.
“That’s you, you bastard.”
The moment those words slipped into his ear.
Go Ha-jin’s thoughts stopped completely.
