Xian Yuan jumped into the water, splashing a few times, a smile gracing her lips. “Hahahaha, this feels incredible.
Xian Yuan frolicked in the lake, while Murong Fier stood quietly on the shore, patiently waiting.
Suddenly, however, Xian Yuan plunged headfirst into the water.
Murong Fier froze, unsure of what was happening, yet she made no move to stop Xian Yuan.
Diving to the lakebed, Xian Yuan was astonished to discern the outline of a palace. A tremor of awe ran through her, wondering if some ancient inheritance lay hidden within.
Tentatively, Xian Yuan extended a tendril to touch the palace, only for it to abruptly explode, flinging her violently back to the surface.
“Cough, cough, cough, that hurt so much…” Xian Yuan choked on water as she surfaced, coughing violently.
“Xian Yuan, are you alright!”
Murong Fier’s anxious voice rang out.
“I’m fine,” Xian Yuan waved a dismissive hand, wiping the water droplets from her cheeks.
However, when Xian Yuan lifted her gaze to Murong Fier, she was utterly startled.
Xian Yuan found Murong Fier’s beauty in that moment utterly breathtaking.
Murong Fier was thoroughly drenched, her ink-black hair splayed out, clinging softly to her snow-white cheeks and collarbones, while crystalline water droplets slowly traced the exquisite contours of her delicate face. Her aqua-blue dress clung tightly to her graceful, shapely figure, revealing her alluring curves.
A look of deep concern shadowed Murong Fier’s face.
“I want.”
At that moment, Xian Yuan’s eyes brimmed with desire, and a warmth spread through her body.
As Xian Yuan reached out to caress Murong Fier’s cheek, the little Xian Yuan within her dantian suddenly emitted a wisp of miraculous law, instantly calming Xian Yuan and dispelling the desire from her eyes.
“What was that about me?”
Xian Yuan shook her head, realizing she had seemingly been influenced by something beneath the lake.

Xian Yuan refocused her attention on the water’s surface. The lake was now violently churning, forming a vortex, as if a colossal wave was on the verge of erupting.
“Rumble—”
A clap of thunder exploded, lightning tore across the sky, and then fierce winds began to rage.
“Splash!”
Water splashed everywhere as Xian Yuan witnessed countless blue lights surging forth from the water.
“What is that?”
Xian Yuan gazed in astonishment at the blue radiance on the lake’s surface.
Suddenly, a colossal blue form burst forth from the lake.
“Quick, get out of the way!” Xian Yuan cried out, pulling Murong Fier.
However, Xian Yuan had underestimated the might of that blue entity. Both Xian Yuan and Murong Fier were struck, sent flying into the air, then landed by the lake, tumbling for over ten meters before finally coming to a halt.
Murong Fier felt as though her internal organs had shifted.
Xian Yuan fared even worse. Although she had clutched Murong Fier’s clothes to steady herself, the little Xian Yuan within her body had instantly sealed her meridians. In that moment of impact, Xian Yuan was no different from an ordinary person; she felt a suffocating pressure in her chest, and blood seeped from the corners of her mouth.
“How could you betray your master like that!”
Xian Yuan glared discontentedly at her dantian, thinking, ‘So you’re the number one master-betrayer, huh!’
Yet, as if sensing Xian Yuan’s displeasure, the little Xian Yuan in her dantian pouted and flicked her hand.
A faint wisp of the law of power suddenly enveloped Xian Yuan’s right hand, causing her entire body to feel paralyzed as if electrocuted, rendering her utterly unable to move. With a face full of dark lines, she glared at the little Xian Yuan in her dantian, threatening, “You mark my words! If you dare to play tricks on me again, I won’t go easy on you!”
The little Xian Yuan pouted, casting a disdainful sidelong glance at Xian Yuan, then stuck out her tongue in a playful grimace before finally releasing the meridian restriction.
Consequently, Xian Yuan regained her freedom, and not only that, her injuries were completely healed. Gazing at the little Xian Yuan in her dantian, she couldn’t shake the feeling that they were remarkably similar, then she looked ahead, where a blue figure was slowly drawing nearer.
“What is that?” Xian Yuan questioned, her eyes filled with surprise as she watched the blue figure.
Xian Yuan sensed an extraordinarily potent power emanating from the blue figure, a power even greater than her own.
“Aha, I’ve got it!”
As she observed the blue figure before her, Xian Yuan was reminded of her family’s recent endeavors: compiling ecological data for the state. ‘Should I try my hand at this now, becoming an investigator myself?’ she mused. ‘After all, I’m here in the Qiyuan Realm to explore anyway.’
Decisive as ever, Xian Yuan promptly retrieved paper, pen, and ink, preparing to draft a proposal. However, her brows soon furrowed. “Oh, no! I almost forgot, I didn’t bring any paper or a pen!”
Xian Yuan lightly slapped her forehead, then pulled out her phone from her pocket—a custom-made Chui Xue 15 Pro Max (TL Note: “Chui Xue” is a brand name, likely a playful nod to a real-world phone model, implying advanced technology.), a family edition.
“What kind of phone is that?”
Murong Fier examined the device Xian Yuan held. Why had she never seen one before? Was it a new release?
“It’s a custom edition. If you’d like one, Sister Murong, I can certainly get it for you.”
“No, thank you. It looks incredibly expensive.”
As they conversed, the blue figure arrived before them.
“An Ice Demon Dragon!”
As they gazed at the blue demonic beast before them, those four words simultaneously flashed through both their minds.
The Ice Demon Dragon is an exceptionally rare divine beast, a member of the Dragon Clan. Its most terrifying attribute is its ice-like scales, impervious to blades and fire, and its emitted aura can instantly transform its surroundings into a world of ice and snow.
The Ice Demon Dragon fixed its fierce gaze upon the two, filled with vigilance towards these intruders into its territory.
“It’s an Ice Demon Dragon!” Xian Yuan exclaimed.
Hearing Xian Yuan’s words, Murong Fier gazed at the colossal body and marveled, “It’s enormous!”
“Roar!”
The Ice Demon Dragon roared in fury, opening its gaping maw to snap at the two.
“This is bad!” Xian Yuan and Murong Fier’s expressions changed, and they immediately employed their movement techniques to defend.
“Bang—”
“Bang—”
“Bang—”
However, the resistance of one Golden Immortal and one Heavenly Immortal was utterly futile against this Ice Demon Dragon; Xian Yuan and Murong Fier were directly flung back a considerable distance.
“Pfft—”
Xian Yuan and Murong Fier both spat out fresh blood. Xian Yuan clutched her chest, her face pale. “This Ice Demon Dragon is simply too powerful.”
“Who are you, daring to trespass upon my Ice Dragon Clan’s territory?” A loli voice suddenly echoed in their divine senses. The Ice Demon Dragon glared at Xian Yuan and Murong Fier, its tone filled with resentment.
“This…”
Xian Yuan and Murong Fier exchanged glances, realizing that this Ice Demon Dragon had already developed sentience.
“We had no such intention; we were merely passing by.”
Xian Yuan’s words did not lower the Ice Demon Dragon’s guard. Her primal instinct prevented her from launching an attack casually, for the small figure before her exuded a threatening aura.
