└└ Seriously lol. This season’s visuals are insane.
└└└ Honestly, the visuals are unmatched. Won Ji-tae is a given, but seeing Kang Woo-joo properly for the first time… his face is insane; such a talent taken by the sports world.
└ Oh? lol, you’re right lol. Everything from one to ten is different.
└└ The funniest part is the interview vibes. Woo-joo, being an athlete, was stiff, but Won Ji-tae, familiar with broadcasting, was witty and smooth.
└└└ Woo-joo hesitated at the last question, but Ji-tae answered immediately. Even that was amusing.
└ Oh, that’s possible.
└└ Seriously, the PD has great intuition, bringing someone we couldn’t even anticipate.
└ If you’re jealous, just say you’re jealous.
└└ Honestly, I was super jealous.
└└└ lololololol
└└└└ Don’t know Woo-joo? Even if you don’t know volleyball, he’s famous.
└└└└└ That caused some fan fights; some didn’t even know who he was.
└ Really?
└└ Last time part of his house was shown, it was like a pigsty.
└└└ Uh, it’s not that bad. He just makes a mess in a stylish way, so it’s tolerable.
└└└└ Stylish mess? Modern art?
└ At this rate, they’re a perfect match.
└└ But I don’t know much about this variety show. Do they even sleep together?
└└└ No, separate rooms. But they go out together and do missions, so maybe.
└└└└ Ah… I was expecting something… thank you.
└└└└└ ?? What were you expecting alone?
└ Tell me about it.
Woo-joo was facing the biggest crisis of his life—or rather, the greatest challenge.
Just ten minutes ago, he and Won Ji-tae were pointing fingers at each other, asking why they were here.
Since neither spoke, the staff eventually tossed the mission card a bit prematurely.
“Then shall we start with this…?”
Woo-joo forced politeness and raised his tone strangely.
Ji-tae blinked, then nodded.
[<Living Together, Just the Two of You> welcomes you! First, choose the room you’ll spend the next month in!
1st-floor room / 2nd-floor room
You can choose freely.]
That was all the mission card said.
Looking around, there were sky-blue decorations on the doors of both rooms. They were clearly being asked to pick one.
“Then maybe we should tour the rooms first. Okay?”
“Yes… sure.”
Woo-joo followed Ji-tae’s slow steps.
He had to accept it now. The fact that he was filming this show with Won Ji-tae.
What is this? A twist of fate? Is this even possible? Really a coincidence?
Woo-joo swallowed the questions and entered the 1st-floor room.
The spacious 1st-floor room had soft pastel walls.
One wall had a large bookshelf with a desk attached, and on the opposite side was a bed.
On a stylish cabinet sat a cute gramophone, LPs, and a player.
Clearly, someone had carefully considered modern aesthetics.
The furniture, wallpaper, and bright ambiance gave the room an open, refreshing feel.
“Let’s look upstairs.”
Ji-tae seemed calm, accustomed to broadcasting.
Still, the awkward tension and huge distance between them as they climbed the stairs remained.
It was as if they were warriors, fully armored, trying not to be noticed by each other.
The 2nd-floor room felt very different.
Neutral-toned walls, the same furniture layout as the 1st floor, but no cute decorations.
Smaller in size, but the 2nd floor had the advantage of connecting to a terrace.
“Uh, Woo-joo… which one would you like?”
“As long as I can sleep, it doesn’t matter. You pick first.”
Still, he couldn’t bring himself to say “Ji-tae.”
Even using formal speech, it was clear they had grown up a bit.
“Doesn’t matter to me either… then shall we choose at the same time?”
Woo-joo nodded. Ji-tae immediately counted, “one, two, three.”
“2nd floor…”
“2nd floor.”
For a pair who claimed indifference, they spoke simultaneously and quickly.
Perhaps it was natural. The 1st-floor room was pretty, but neither man could appreciate such an aesthetic.
Their eyes briefly met in the air.
“Woo-joo, you take the 2nd floor. I don’t mind 1st floor.”
“No, I’ll just take the 1st floor.”
“Huh? I’m really okay with it.”
“I’m fine too.”
“I’m even more okay.”
“Well, I’m even more okay. Take the 2nd floor.”
Their eyes met again in the air. This time, a different emotion lingered.
“Actually, I like listening to music. There’s an LP, so I’ll take the 1st floor.”
Ji-tae’s lips curled slightly, but it didn’t feel like a genuine smile.
“Now that I think about it, the terrace might attract bugs. I’ll take the 1st floor.”
Woo-joo forced a smile as well.
The conversation, meant to compromise, was taking a strange turn.
“I have sensitive skin… getting bitten by bugs would be a problem.”
“…Then I’ll just get bitten?”
That unintentional remark from Woo-joo signaled the start of a war.
“You said it that way? You wanted the 2nd floor.”
“Ji-tae… since you said you wanted it, just take it. Bring the LP and everything upstairs.”
“No… I don’t want the 2nd floor. You can’t get bitten.”
“Then why didn’t you say that from the start? Why change your mind now?”
“When did I change my mind? I’m giving it up for you.”
“I’m giving it up too. If the door is closed, no bugs will come in.”
Woo-joo once imagined this moment. Meeting Ji-tae, having a chance to talk—would they have normal adult conversations?
But all of Woo-joo’s thoughts were wrong.
It was just his imagination running wild.
“Why live closing doors like this? Think before you speak.”
“That’s your problem, why ask me?”
Even after nearly seven years, nothing had changed between them.
Only two men, like elementary school kids, fighting over a silly argument, remained.
Their dispute over a single room escalated unexpectedly.
One writer waiting outside the set shifted uncomfortably.
Unsure whether to intervene, the writer noticed PD Kwon shaking his head.
Following the main PD’s guidance, the writer sat back down, relaxed.
PD Kwon was considered a “brilliant PD” by the public but was known in the industry as eccentric.
A variety show PD prioritizing natural reactions over forced humor.
During filming, he minimized interference and allowed cast freedom.
In other words, he left the cast alone.
He only intervened for essential program needs or setting up the environment.
Many initially predicted <Living Together, Just the Two of You> would fail in the industry.
“Why are you speaking like that? Woo-joo, don’t you understand this show’s concept?”
“Do I not understand? Ji-tae, if you hadn’t been so stubborn, none of this would have happened.”
Hence, the two men fought like elementary students, while PD Kwon simply observed.
“Ah, geez…”
Ji-tae sighed, frustrated, then locked eyes with the staff outside.
His eyebrows twitched at that moment.
