Chapter 98: A Dream That Felt Too Real

Lowering his gaze slightly, Woojoo saw muscles sculpted as if drawn—cleanly defined, tense—and a chest as broad as an ocean.

In the past, he would have thought, “How hard did this guy even train?”

But now… he just felt extremely embarrassed.

At that moment, a soft laugh was heard.

Jitae slowly lowered his face.

Woojoo instinctively shut his eyes tight—

And then he clearly felt their lips meet.

They touched briefly, then parted—

Only for Jitae to lean in deeper, kissing him more intensely.

“Mm….”

With his airway blocked, a muffled sound slipped out between Woojoo’s lips.

But Jitae didn’t stop.

He traced his lips with his tongue, teasing him—

Then pulled away just enough to let him breathe.

“Haah….”

Woojoo gasped, hurriedly filling his lungs.

But in that instant, Jitae crashed into him again.

Through the parted lips, warmth slipped inside—soft, invasive.

For a dream, everything was too vivid—

The sensation, the sound, the heat.

It didn’t feel like a dream at all.

And more than that—

Why was he even having a dream like this?

Even as Woojoo struggled between confusion and a strange, budding excitement—

Jitae showed no hesitation.

His tongue traced along Woojoo’s teeth, pressing against the soft inner walls, tasting him thoroughly.

Then he tangled with Woojoo’s unmoving tongue and drew it in deeply, as if trying to swallow it whole.

“Mmgh….”

Woojoo lightly hit Jitae’s shoulder.

But maybe because it was a dream, he couldn’t muster his usual strength.

Even though he was an athlete—someone who should easily be able to push him away—

His hands felt weak.

Jitae gently took Woojoo’s hands and wrapped them around his own neck.

Then, lowering his own hand, he slowly rubbed Woojoo’s earlobe.

A sharp shiver ran through Woojoo’s body.

Jitae, who had been relentlessly exploring his mouth, trailed his tongue down Woojoo’s chin—then to his neck.

Feeling the brush of his hair beneath his nose, Woojoo bit his lip tightly.

“Hey… what are you doing? Are you crazy?”

Even in a dream—

The guy who used to blush just from getting close was now acting like someone completely different.

The sound of soft sucking echoed as Jitae kissed his neck.

His wandering hand slipped inside Woojoo’s clothes—

Brushing over his chest, stomach, and sides with teasing strokes.

Woojoo’s toes curled inward.

“What do you mean why? You should know better than anyone.”

“What?”

“You thought about me all day. That’s why I showed up in your dream like this.”

Woojoo stared blankly—

And then Jitae’s hand suddenly moved lower.

“Hey—!”

Startled, Woojoo jerked his upper body up.

Jitae smiled and leaned close to his ear.

“You’re hard.”

That single sentence triggered everything.

Suddenly, Jitae disappeared.

The space distorted—

And his vision flickered to black.

Then—

An alarm blared next to his ear.

Woojoo’s eyes shot open.

He immediately checked beside him.

The bed was empty.

The room was his own.

He had returned to reality.

Everything was different from the dream—

“…….”

Woojoo lifted the blanket and looked down.

“…Ah, damn it.”

The clear outline beneath his pajamas made him feel instant despair.

He wanted to stay buried under the blanket forever—

But unfortunately, he had training today.

That’s why he had set multiple loud alarms.

Dragging himself out of bed, Woojoo headed to the bathroom.

And his morning routine took twice as long as usual.

“Kang Woojoo seems off today.”

During a break, Seokhyeon whispered to Yuseok while stretching.

Woojoo was absentmindedly bouncing a ball against the wall.

“Yeah… he does seem out of it.”

They weren’t wrong.

Woojoo was completely distracted.

After his… “battle” in the bathroom, he barely remembered how he even got to the gym.

The scenes from the dream—

Jitae’s voice, his breath, his lips—

Kept replaying in his mind.

Even though he couldn’t focus, his body moved on instinct, so training somehow continued.

“Hyungs, are you free later? I got free movie tickets—let’s go watch something.”

Yoon Kwon approached them excitedly.

Seokhyeon cheered and rushed over, trying to hug him.

“Our maknae is the best!”

“Ugh, what are you doing?”

Yoon Kwon shoved him away in disgust.

Woojoo stopped bouncing the ball and watched blankly.

Right—

That was the normal reaction.

If one guy tried to hug another, feeling disgusted was natural.

But Woojoo—

He had been kissed.

Deeply.

By another man.

And it wasn’t even comparable to that brief peck during the confession.

Even if it was a dream—

It felt as real as reality.

So why didn’t he feel disgusted?

If Seokhyeon had done something like that—

Woojoo shuddered violently.

No. Absolutely not.

But when it was Jitae…

It felt different.

And not only that—

His body had responded to that dream.

Did that mean Jitae was… special?

There was no clear reason.

It couldn’t just be because they had known each other for a long time—

He had known Seokhyeon and Hyunjin just as long.

In the end, Woojoo couldn’t find an answer.

He finished training with his thoughts still tangled.

When Yoon Kwon invited him to the movies, Woojoo refused.

He hadn’t slept properly, and his mind was too messy.

Then—

He noticed players in familiar uniforms heading upstairs.

“Aren’t those Yuseong players?”

“Didn’t you hear? Their gym is under renovation, so they’re borrowing part of ours for a few days.”

That explained it.

Then Woojoo spotted someone among them—

Yoon Jaeyeon.

Their eyes met briefly.

Woojoo looked away first.

After changing, the gym had quieted down.

Yoon Kwon and the others had already left for the movies.

Woojoo walked alone through the lobby.

He took out his phone and stared at Jitae’s number.

Should he send a message?

But what would he even say?

What are you doing?

It felt strange.

But he was curious.

“Kang Woojoo.”

Someone called out from behind.

Turning around—

Yoon Jaeyeon stood there.

“Your gym is really nice. No wonder you’re ranked first.”

He spoke casually, as if greeting him.

“Do you have something to say?”

Woojoo’s cold tone made Jaeyeon frown slightly.

“Did you talk things out with Won Jitae?”

Woojoo stayed silent.

Jaeyeon continued.

“It didn’t feel great leaving things like that with an old classmate.”

He added that he didn’t even have Jitae’s number.

Woojoo let out a quiet laugh.

This guy was as transparent as ever.

“Don’t say things you don’t mean. You’re not actually curious about Jitae. And even if you are, it’s not for a good reason. I don’t want to talk about him with someone like that.”

He didn’t hate Jaeyeon—

But he had no desire to deal with him either.

What Jaeyeon had shown before was clearly wrong.

And even now, he was trying to bring Jitae down.

“Wow, looks like you two got really close. You used to fight like crazy in high school.”

“We were never on bad terms to begin with.”
