Chapter 125: Proving It Without Words

“Wooju.”

And yet, here he was, standing right inside his house.

Jitae quickly slipped off his shoes and rushed over to pull him into a tight embrace.

“How did you even get here? Without telling me.”

“You’re really asking me that?”

“Huh?”

Wooju let out a deep sigh, reached into his pocket, and pulled out his phone.

He tapped the screen a few times and then showed their chat window.

The last message had been sent by none other than Jitae.

[Wooju… don’t get tired of me… I’ll do betterㅠㅠ]

“You send something like this and then ask why I came?”

Wooju scoffed in disbelief.

Jitae had sent that message earlier while half out of his mind after overthinking Seola’s words.

He had completely forgotten about it himself.

After receiving it, Wooju had debated how to respond, but in the end, thought it would be better to just see him in person.

No matter how late it was, Jitae would come home eventually, so he decided to just come and wait.

“Go wash up first.”

Wooju lightly pushed Jitae’s shoulder, who was clinging to him like glue, and sent him into the bathroom.

And what greeted Jitae after finishing his shower in barely five minutes was none other than Wooju’s scolding.

“Clean up your place. If you eat something, wash the dishes right away. Doesn’t it bother you leaving things messy?”

“Wooju, I really missed you.”

Jitae suddenly pulled him into a hug and tried to kiss his cheek, but was blocked by Wooju’s large palm.

“Don’t think you can get away with that kind of aegyo.”

“I mean it.”

“Then explain that message.”

Jitae hesitated before slowly explaining everything he had been thinking earlier in the waiting room.

Even including Seola’s story.

After hearing the whole situation, Wooju’s expression clearly said: Are you serious?

“So basically, you thought that because you’re so busy, I might get tired of you and break up with you?”

Jitae nodded.

Wooju leaned back on the sofa, raising both hands as if surrendering.

He had rushed over worried after seeing that message, only to feel like an idiot now.

“Hey, we’re not in our early twenties. Of course I understand being busy.”

Besides, even Wooju, who seemed free now, would become extremely busy once the season started again.

He knew very well how demanding a celebrity’s life was.

And at the end of the day, people had to work to live.

“More importantly, did I really seem like someone who’d get tired of you just because we don’t meet often?”

Jitae stayed silent, lips pressed together, clearly realizing his mistake.

Wooju sighed again out of habit.

“You said you trust my feelings.”

“I do.”

“Then you should know. I wouldn’t care about something like that. I told you, my feelings for you aren’t light either.”

“I know. I do, but……”

Jitae trailed off.

Wooju frowned.

“But what?”

“…To be honest, it’s not the same as mine. I liked you for over ten years… I know you like me too, but your feelings can’t be heavier than mine.”

“…….”

Silence fell instantly.

In Jitae’s head, only one thought echoed.

I messed up.

What he had just said sounded like he was whining that his feelings were bigger.

Worse, it could be taken as belittling Wooju’s feelings.

But instead of getting angry, Wooju stayed quiet.

He stood up abruptly from the sofa after a moment of thought.

“W-Wooju?”

“Hey, lend me some clothes.”

“Why clothes……?”

“I was going to leave after seeing you, but I changed my mind. I’m staying over.”

“…Is that okay?”

Jitae nodded vigorously.

If anything, he wanted to beg him to stay.

Wooju headed straight to the bathroom.

Jitae, still confused, picked out the cleanest and nicest clothes from his wardrobe for him.

He had planned to ask if Wooju was upset, but the moment he saw him wearing his clothes, he was so overwhelmed that he missed the timing.

And as if nothing was wrong, Wooju simply said it was late and they should sleep, climbing into the bed first.

Jitae cautiously lifted the blanket and lay down beside him.

Looking at Wooju lying on his side, facing away, he timidly reached out his hand.

“Can I hug you while we sleep?”

“…….”

“Wooju? Are you already asleep?”

“…Hey.”

Suddenly, Wooju turned around and looked straight at him.

They were already close in the same bed, and with Wooju staring at him with clear, steady eyes, Jitae swallowed nervously.

“Sometimes, actions teach more than words.”

“Huh? What do you mean all of a sudden—”

Before he could finish, Wooju grabbed the back of Jitae’s neck and pulled him into a kiss.

For a brief moment, Jitae was startled—

Then he melted into the warmth and softness of Wooju’s lips.

Instinctively, he held Wooju’s face and deepened the kiss.

“Mm…….”

Though Wooju had started it, Jitae took the lead.

The kiss grew more intense, breath mingling, their closeness deepening.

At first, Wooju seemed unsure, but gradually, he responded—his arms wrapping around Jitae’s neck.

Heat built between them, their breaths uneven, emotions spilling over without restraint.

For a moment, everything else faded—

Until suddenly, Jitae pulled away.

“…Wait.”

A thin thread of breath lingered between them.

“I think we should stop here.”

Jitae sat back slightly, wiping his lips, avoiding Wooju’s gaze.

Wooju stared at him, then slowly sat up.

“Won Jitae. You can continue.”

“Huh?”

“We’re dating. What’s the problem?”

His voice was calm, but his gaze was steady.

Jitae hesitated.

“It’s okay to take it slow. You might not be used to this… it might surprise you.”

“And you are used to it?”

“No, that’s not what I mean. I just… I’ve liked you for a long time, so I’ve imagined things. But you probably haven’t.”

Jitae didn’t want to rush him.

Even if the moment felt overwhelming, he didn’t want Wooju to regret it later.

“…Then do it.”

“What?”

“Everything you imagined.”

“Wooju… what’s gotten into you? Did you drink?”

“I told you. Sometimes actions work better than words.”

Wooju reached out, grabbing Jitae’s hand.

His grip was firm.

“You keep saying you trust me, but then you doubt my feelings.”

Slowly, deliberately, he guided Jitae’s hand—

“I’ll prove it.”

Jitae froze, completely caught off guard.

Then Wooju spoke, without hesitation.

“I’ll show you properly.”
