Chapter 28: The Explosive Teaser

But from their perspective, it must be freaking fascinating too.

After all, they both succeeded in their own fields and then reunited on a famous program.

If it were me, I’d probably feel super emotional about it.

└ Passing T here. Yes, I’ll just pass by.

└└ Rather than being happy to see each other, it feels like they’re making up for all the fights they couldn’t have before.

  • Rice crackers are good though. Why are you all dissing themㅠㅠ

└ What’s so tasty about that bland flavor anyway?

└└ It’s my mom’s favorite snack.

└└└ That blandness is the biggest charm of rice crackers.

In this world where overly stimulating tastes run wild, rice crackers are the only ones steadfastly maintaining their original flavor.

They can truly be called the real snack of this era.

Your mother must possess an excellent palate.

└└└└ ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Look at that attitude switch.

  • Guys, check 8:45.

Won Ji-tae catches Kang Woo-joo when he’s about to fall, and his hand is so naturally placed on his waist.

└ At this point, it feels like even the production team aimed for that…?

└└ Why are you sitting here trying to ship the cast over something like that?

└└└ This is my source of happinessㅠㅠ

  • Wait, what is that full teaser;; Why is Kang Woo-joo taking his clothes off?

└ Where?

└└ Where does it show up? I don’t see anything like that.

└└└ Can you tell us where it appearsㅠㅠㅠㅠ

└└└└ Where exactly does he take his clothes off?

└└└└└ Please give the timestamp.

└└└└└└ Could you possibly grant me some mercy as well?

  • 12:15 Kang Woo-joo shirtless.

└ Whoa, that’s insane.

└└ It passes by super briefly. How did you even catch that?

└└└ Never underestimate a determined Korean again.

└└└└ I’m trapped inside the video. Please save me.

└└└└└ You never even planned on leaving in the first place.

Just as Producer Kwon had said, a special pre-release clip containing part of Episode 1 was uploaded.

The response was, quite literally, explosive.

As soon as it was posted, it ranked first on a certain video platform’s trending videos.

Clips from the pre-release quickly spread across social media in gif form.

According to the production staff, it was the best reaction out of all previous seasons.

They had uploaded early clips in past seasons as well, but none had received such a massive response this quickly.

Woo-joo stared blankly at the flood of comments with a fascinated expression.

He had somewhat expected negative comments, but strangely enough, there wasn’t a single one like that.

He felt like he finally understood, at least a little, why Lee Gi-cheol had been so insistent that he join this variety show.

On top of that, a video of a past match between him and Won Ji-tae had resurfaced by chance, further fueling the positive reaction.

As their past relationship was re-examined, people began going wild with excitement.

“Hey, Won Ji-tae. Did you see what got uploaded?”

Woo-joo turned his head from the sofa.

Won Ji-tae was sitting at the kitchen table, staring intently at his screen with a serious expression.

He seemed so focused that he didn’t even hear the question.

Shrugging it off, Woo-joo continued reading the comments.

There were quite a few surprisingly funny ones.

At the same time, Ji-tae’s fingers were moving busily across his phone screen.

Before long, even one of his legs was shaking anxiously.

[Are you seriously planning to air Kang Woo-joo taking his clothes off?]

The message was from Kwon Sun-hyuk.

[What? Out of nowhere. We said no private contact during filming.]

[No. Who decided to air that?]

[We got consent from Kang Woo-joo. Even if you don’t approve, what are you going to do about it?]

Ji-tae let out a sigh and ran a hand through his hair.

After leaving the chat with Kwon Sun-hyuk, he returned to the pre-release clip.

  • 12:15 Kang Woo-joo shirtless.

When he tapped the timestamp in the comment, the scene from the previous garden incident flashed by for a split second—Woo-joo, soaked through, taking off his clothes.

“……”

Ji-tae glanced once at Woo-joo, who was still deeply focused on his phone.

Then, as if checking his reaction for no reason, he captured the screen.

Just like that, Woo-joo’s photo took up a spot in his gallery.

“Hey, is this even a room?”

“Of course it’s a room. What else would it be?”

“A pigsty.”

“That’s harsh.”

From early in the morning, Woo-joo stood there with a sulky expression, staring at Won Ji-tae’s room.

His gaze looked like he had just discovered some filthy unknown entity.

“Isn’t this clean enough?”

“I sincerely hope you’re not serious.”

Today was deep-cleaning day.

As agreed when they set the house rules last time, they were supposed to clean periodically, following Woo-joo’s firm insistence.

The start had been smooth.

They had swept and wiped the living room and kitchen together.

There weren’t any major problems.

Sure, they wasted nearly 30 minutes bickering while Woo-joo tolerated Ji-tae’s complaints, but that was still considered decent.

But then, an unexpected issue arose.

They had decided to clean their own rooms individually.

After all, bedrooms were the most private spaces.

Yet, despite that agreement, Won Ji-tae was oddly sitting in front of the TV like a stone statue, not moving at all.

Woo-joo, having roughly finished cleaning his own room, came out and asked if he was already done.

The reply he got was:

‘My room is clean, so I don’t need to.’

The moment he heard that, Woo-joo dashed up the stairs to the second floor as if possessed.

Sensing danger, Won Ji-tae reacted with quick reflexes and chased after him, resulting in a sudden pursuit.

The winner, however, was none other than Woo-joo.

And when he flung the door open, what greeted his eyes was an unbelievable sight.

In one corner of the floor lay a suitcase, still unpacked, boldly spread open.

It had already been several days since they moved in, yet he still hadn’t unpacked it.

That alone was shocking enough.

But that wasn’t all.

Outerwear carelessly draped over a chair.

An unmade bed.

Clothes scattered around.

Items wandering chaotically across the desk.

“What are you going to do if all your fans leave you like this……?”

Woo-joo muttered seriously.

“My fans like this side of me too.”

“Yeah, that’s fortunate. You have good fans…….”

Woo-joo let out a deep sigh and nodded.

“Now that you’ve seen it, get out.”

With a slightly sulky face, Ji-tae tried to push Woo-joo out of the room.

But Woo-joo couldn’t possibly pretend he hadn’t seen this disaster.

If he left it like this, he definitely wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight.

He could already imagine the filthy room haunting him in his dreams.

“Let’s not touch personal spaces. People have their own way of living.”

“If you can’t even talk properly, at least clean. Please.”

“I’ll handle it myself.”

“And this is the result of you handling it?”

“Hey, home is the one place you’re supposed to feel comfortable. Stop interfering.”

Another argument began.

One was desperately trying to keep the messy room from being further exposed.

The other was fighting just as hard to clean up the pigsty in front of him.

Woo-joo suddenly remembered the pre-interview video he had seen before.

Won Ji-tae had said he was disorderly at home and hoped for someone who would respect that.

But Woo-joo had no intention of respecting it.

In fact, he had never planned to.

“I don’t want to interfere either, but I can’t just walk away after seeing this. I’ll help you, so organize it.”

“No.”

“This is really……”

Woo-joo sighed deeply.

In advertisements, Ji-tae always appeared perfectly neat and polished.

His face even looked like he might have obsessive tendencies.

So why on earth couldn’t he tidy his own room?

“Won Ji-tae, at this rate, you’ll never get married.”

Left with no choice, Woo-joo decided to use a slightly harsher tone.

After all, the most effective way to get a man moving was to hit his pride.

“……”

“Don’t you know women these days like clean guys? Huh? If you keep this up, your future wife is going to nag you forever.”
