[Newbie Village protection mechanism triggered]

[High-level mental control from Necromancer ‘Harrison Justin’ has been isolated for you]

[Physical bludgeoning attack from common undead ‘Roll Cipo’ has been resisted for you]

[Physical biting attack from common undead ‘Roll Cipo’ has been resisted for you]

Eve, lying safely within her coffin, suddenly saw a long string of notifications explode before her eyes, continuing to scroll rapidly.

“Someone is attacking the Newbie Village!”

Eve fearfully swallowed, her gaze fixed on the coffin lid before her.

It remained tightly sealed, not a single sliver of light penetrating the darkness.

Yet, this very darkness offered her a profound sense of security.

Eve let out a sigh of relief.

[Do you wish to leave the Newbie Village protected area?]

A new pop-up window appeared, and without a moment’s hesitation, Eve directly refused.

“Going out now would clearly be suicide!”

Although she couldn’t see what was happening outside, the fact that the Newbie Village was under attack was undeniable.

Eve planned to wait until the commotion outside completely died down before venturing out.

[Tier 2 magic from Necromancer ‘Harrison Justin’ has been resisted for you]

[Tier 2 magic from Necromancer ‘Harrison Justin’ has been resisted for you]

[Detection indicates target ‘Harrison Justin’ attempted to enter the Newbie Village, triggering the primary defense mechanism]

[Newbie Village defense mechanism has successfully eliminated the target]

Suddenly, the formerly blue system notification window changed, turning a striking red.

This was immediately followed by a cascade of green notification boxes.

[Congratulations! You participated in defeating the enemy ‘Harrison Justin (Lv.50)’]

[Detection indicates you defeated a powerful enemy above your level, earning additional experience bonuses]

[Detection indicates you defeated an enemy within the Newbie Village protected area, reducing your experience gain efficiency by half]

[Congratulations! You have advanced to Lv.10. Class advancement quests are now available. (Note: Excess experience gained before Lv.10 will be stored and inherited after class advancement)]

[Congratulations! You have acquired the title: Stroller Slayer]

[Stroller Slayer: Equipping this title effectively reduces negative effects caused by level suppression. (P.S.: The probability of being slain by a baby is low, but never zero. Hey, pal, watch out for those falling baby bottles.)]

Eve felt a surge of green light emanate from her body, accompanied by a crisp, jingling sound in her ears. Her entire being felt as though it had undergone a profound baptism, leaving her with an indescribable sense of comfort.

“Is this what it feels like to level up and grow stronger?”

She clenched her fist. Her previous weakness vanished, replaced by a sensation that she could now punch a ‘Mr. Ox’ clear across the room!

An inexplicable surge of confidence swelled within Eve’s heart.

However, her bold thought quickly sent a shiver of cold sweat down her spine.

“With my current twig-like arms and legs, it’s pretty clear I’d be the one sent flying!” Eve muttered to herself.

Sitting up slightly, she pressed her ear against the coffin lid. Outside, the roars of the undead still echoed.

[Do you wish to leave the Newbie Village protected area?]

“No, no, no, I’m just listening to the commotion outside…”

Eve naturally lay back down.

‘Are you kidding? From the sounds of it, there’s still a horde of undead roaming out there. Going out now would guarantee an encounter.’

‘Even though I’ve reached Level 10, asking a defenseless weak woman like me to defeat these undead? That’s surely a joke, right?’

‘I certainly don’t want to fast-forward to a defeat CG cutscene right after arriving in this world.’

Thanks to the inherent nature of the undead race, Eve didn’t need to breathe, eat, drink, or even excrete. She could remain in the coffin indefinitely.

While waiting for the sounds of the roaming undead to fade, Eve began to examine the class advancement panel in her personal information interface.

[Detection indicates the following class advancement options are recommended based on your race]

[Undead Warrior: Physique++, Spirit–, Agility++, New Class Talent: Fearless (When you initiate an attack, slightly reduce received crowd control effects)]

[Undead Elemental Mage: Physique–, Spirit++++, New Class Talent: Elemental Perception (Can perceive and manipulate ambient magical elements to cast spells)]

[Undead Standard Bearer: Physique+, Spirit+, Agility+, New Class Talent: Swarm (Can summon and control a certain number of undead creatures with levels lower than your own)]

The class advancement options were sparse, only three in total. The first two represented extreme paths, focusing heavily in one direction, while the third offered a more balanced, comprehensive improvement. Though the gains were modest, its advantage lay in not weakening any base attributes.

‘If this were a game, most players would probably choose one of the first two class branches.’

“Warriors boast high damage output, with ten times the fiery critical hits. Mages command powerful crowd control, freezing nuclear explosions that wipe out the entire field.”

This slogan was an eternally classic saying in Eve’s original world.

After all, balance often implied mediocrity, devoid of any distinct strengths or brilliant highlights.

Eve had initially intended to choose either the Warrior or Mage path. However, after clicking on the Undead Warrior’s class advancement quest, she very wisely closed the quest panel.

[Undead Warrior Class Advancement Quest: Run five kilometers daily, perform fifty push-ups, fifty sit-ups, fifty squats, and maintain disciplined exercise for three months]

“What the hell, is this ‘scientific’ class advancement or something?!”

“Tsk, exercising is impossible. I’ll never exercise in this life.”

“Don’t underestimate my NEET slacker soul!”

Eve decisively looked at the other class advancement quest.

What she saw left her utterly dumbfounded.

[Undead Elemental Mage Class Advancement Quest: Drink a barrel of lava, drink a barrel of water, eat a barrel of fertile soil, and be struck by lightning once]

“Does this mean ‘eat what you need to replenish’ or something…”

“But is that last task, ‘be struck by lightning once,’ serious?”

‘It’s common knowledge that undead creatures are weak to lightning!’

“Following this quest progression would definitely kill me, right? It would, wouldn’t it?!”

Eve’s mouth twitched slightly, but she still clicked on the final branch class quest.

With the precedents of the previous two, she held little hope for the remaining class advancement quest.

[Undead Standard Bearer Class Advancement Quest: Possess a flag of your own, and equip at least two undead creatures with a roadblock and an iron bucket, respectively]

“Huh? This quest is surprisingly a bit simple!”

“But why do I have such a strong sense of déjà vu?”

Eve couldn’t immediately pinpoint the source of her déjà vu, but she didn’t dwell on it. This class advancement quest was indeed much easier to accomplish than the previous two.

“Even though the initial stat boosts aren’t much, the talent to control undead could develop into something like a ‘Fountain Commander’ later on, which sounds pretty good!”

“Then, I’ll command the undead to attack while I hide in my coffin. With the Newbie Village protection, I won’t have to fear being ambushed and instantly killed!”

Eve’s eyes gleamed brighter and brighter.

‘Thinking about it, this class actually seems quite promising!’
