Chapter 70: An Author’s Heartfelt Thanks and Future Plans

First and foremost, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all the esteemed readers who have supported me this far. Your dedication in following my journey means the world to me!

Next, I must thank brown sugar steamed buns, mahjong flatbreads, date buns, choked-flour buns, mixed-flour buns, red bean paste buns… Without you all as my writing fuel, I might have collapsed midway! (Just kidding, mostly.)

Ahem… While this marks my second time writing an ‘on-shelf’ statement, I still find myself at a loss for words, honestly, haha…

So, let’s just chat briefly. This book’s journey to this point has been quite convoluted and, frankly, rather silly.

For instance, at first, this ‘bun’ of an author simply wanted to write a traditional Western fantasy game novel. However, when I started, I focused more on the Western fantasy setting itself. Unable to find a specific ‘Western Fantasy’ tag, I mistakenly chose ‘Xuanhuan’ instead.

By the time I realized I could have selected a ‘Game’ tag, it was too late to change. After writing for a while, I received a torrent of complaints, haha! (Come on, feel free to laugh at this clumsy author again!)

Then there’s the ‘Saintess’ storyline, which I often mentioned before. I completely ruined the early outline by foolishly pushing the plot towards ‘intimate interactions’ between characters.

At that point, I decided to go all-in, welding the car doors shut and stomping on the accelerator, fully committing to transforming it into an absurd, ‘intimate interactions’ novel.

As I continued writing, I suddenly realized: ‘Damn, this is exactly what I want to write!’

Crafting all sorts of silly plots brings so much joy! And watching beautiful girls interact intimately, oh, how delightful it is to ship their pairings, boohoo!

My personal philosophy is this: the world is beautiful, so why bother writing dark, profound, and cruel stories? Lighthearted, silly, and nonsensical tales bring something good to look forward to every day!

Therefore, please rest assured about the future plot. There will be angst, but not much; it will only serve as a seasoning!

Additionally, if any esteemed readers are curious about the previous outline, I might consider writing it as an ‘if-line’ extra story in the future.
