The little maid craned her neck, captivated by the rustling sounds emanating from outside. Filled with curiosity, she looked up at Eve, who lay beneath her.
“Super Miss, what are they doing out there? Wennya is so curious!”
A corner of Eve’s mouth twitched.
She reached out, covering the little maid’s ears and gently resting the restless small head against her chest. “Wennya, you’re still a child. Children shouldn’t listen to such things; it’ll corrupt you. Now, be a good girl and sleep.”
“Oh… alright, Wennya understands…”
After soothing Wennya, Eve subtly turned onto her side, seemingly to make more room for the little maid to sleep. In truth, she had pressed her ear tightly against the coffin, meticulously listening for any sounds from outside.
‘This is called prudence! It’s about guarding against potential hidden dangers from the outside world!’
‘Yes! That’s exactly it! It’s certainly not eavesdropping!’
Eve easily convinced herself, yet the knowing, ‘auntie’ smile on her face refused to fade.
‘By the way, how far have Anna and Yulim Wilivia progressed?’
‘From the sounds, they should have completed the first step by now, right?’
‘Oh ho ho!!’
‘Was Anna the one to take the initiative? Or Yulim Wilivia?’
‘Hmm… no matter which of them took the lead, just thinking about it makes my heart flutter with excitement!!’
‘Well, it seems we won’t be returning to Xielan tonight. Perhaps I should find an excuse to get the tent out later and lend it to Anna and Yulim Wilivia?’
‘After all, the atmosphere is perfect; they should seize the moment and go straight for a home run!’
Both of them are new to this, and being out in the wild is already exciting enough. Add to that the fact they’re in a forest, and who knows if there’s a risk of being seen?
‘A first time should always be a beautiful memory!’
‘Their delicate mood mustn’t be disturbed by outsiders!’
‘So, a tent as a safeguard is absolutely necessary!’
‘And who knows, perhaps with a tent, they’ll be even more uninhibited!’
Eve’s mind raced.
In a daze, she seemed to recall the drive from her student days, pushing through countless challenges on an exam. That same full-throttle enthusiasm surged within her, like finally reaching the last major question only to discover it was a bonus point question.
At this very moment, Eve truly wished to look up at the sky and sigh in admiration for herself, for Anna, and for Yulim Wilivia.
‘Oh, to be young again!!!!!’ She wiped away a tear.
As Eve was still pondering how to submit a perfect ‘answer sheet’, she suddenly froze.
A system notification appeared before her.
[Novice Village Protection Mechanism Triggered]
[Cognitive Impairment Guidance from Calamity Demon Lord “Fionn Cassius” has been Isolated for You]
[Common Sense Modification from Calamity Demon Lord “Fionn Cassius” has been Isolated for You]
[Detection shows that target “Fionn Cassius”‘s Rule Reversal has not caused substantial attack; defensive mechanism will not be triggered temporarily.]
Three consecutive system notifications made Eve’s eyes widen. The words “Calamity Demon Lord” were stained blood-red within the notification box, making them particularly jarring.
For a moment, Eve even cast aside her previous ‘shipping’ thoughts.
The blood moon in the sky earlier had been the Demon Lord’s doing, already causing a significant stir. Now, with the notification of the Novice Village Protection Mechanism being triggered, it was hard not to suspect the Demon Lord was preparing for another major move.
‘Common Sense Modification.’
‘Hiss… that ability always gives me a bad feeling…’
Even as she worried, Eve suddenly seemed to recall something else. She couldn’t help but inwardly scoff.
‘But then again, can the Novice Village actually block even this?’
‘Indeed, no matter how heaven-defying an ability is, it can’t withstand a mechanism kill!’
Wennya, nestled in her arms, looked up at Eve upon hearing her speak. “Miss Eve, what was that about a bad feeling? Did something happen?”
Eve reached out and stroked Wennya’s head. “Hmm… Wennya, after we return to Xielan, we might find the entire world has drastically changed…”

In the void, a grey orb of light was fleeing at an incredibly fast pace.
As it fled, it didn’t forget to ‘humanly’ twist a small cluster of light points. It was as if it had glanced back.
Only to see another bright beam of light trailing behind it.
It immediately accelerated.
[Order, don’t you ever get tired?! How much longer are you going to chase me?!]
[I haven’t broken any rules, nor have I caused any chaos. I haven’t even stolen the freshly ripened cherries from your Divine Court, so why are you chasing me?]
The grey orb of light shrieked pitifully as it fled.
If Anna were here, hearing that familiar voice would surely leave her utterly astonished.
‘Isn’t that the Goddess of Finality?’
‘How is it so different from how she appeared before?’
‘And why is she speaking in such a pathetic, begging tone?’
Just as its words faded, the bright orb of light close behind it let out a furious, exasperated roar.
[Destruction!! Are you truly confident when you say such things!!!]
[If you’ve got the guts, then stop running!!!!]
‘And stand here to be beaten by you?!’
The grey orb of light increased its fleeing speed.
Yet, a certain sage once said that in moments of extreme anger, people unleash their full potential.
This adage held true even for gods.
The bright orb of light grew increasingly dazzling and radiant. Its flight speed instantly doubled.
Finally, moments later, the bright orb of light caught up to the grey orb. It brought the chase to an abrupt end.
The bright orb of light sealed off all of its opponent’s escape routes.
Its benevolent voice echoed eerily through the void.
[I’ve————got————you————now————Destruction!]
Seeing no escape, the grey orb of light could only shiver and cower within the cage of light that enveloped it. It transformed into a grey-haired little loli, hunkering down with her arms over her head in defense.
[Eek! Sister Order! I was wrong! Next time I’ll still… no, no, no, I won’t dare next time!]
Within the radiant cage, the bright orb of light revealed its true form.
Three pairs of vast golden wings unfurled from behind her. Her golden hair cascaded like a waterfall, subtly adorned with two white ribbons. Accompanying her hair was a transparent white veil, shimmering with starlight. Following the veil, one could glimpse her long, flawless legs, and a pair of silver-white heels tapping upon the light, sending ripples of golden energy outwards.
She opened her eyes, her pale blue gaze falling upon the little loli before her.
The next moment, she drew a white feather duster from behind her. She tapped it against her palm.
[Destruction, acting cute won’t work.]
[I’m only giving you two choices now.]
[Are you going to obediently stick your butt out for a spanking, or do you want me to flip you over first before I begin?]
The grey-haired little loli looked up, her eyes brimming with tears. [C-can I… not choose either…?]
But no sooner had she uttered the words than she saw the golden-haired woman before her tighten her grip on the feather duster. At the same time, a prominent vein pulsed on her fair, flawless forehead.
[…What do you think?]
With one large hand, she directly grabbed the grey-haired little loli by the nape of her neck. She then dragged her over her knee.
*Whoosh—*
*Smack!*
[Aaaah—!]
[Damn it! So what if you’re just a *little* bit stronger than me?! Once I fully grasp the Authority of Freedom, I’ll spank your butt just like this! You detestable Order! Even if you beg for mercy then, I won’t stop!]
*Smack!*
[Aaaah—!]
[Order, you—you just wait! When I find Elder Sister Origin, who went missing! I’m definitely going to complain to her! I’ll tell her you only ever bully me!]
*Smack!*
[Aah… Ooh-hoo-hoo-hoo!]
[Stop hitting me, stop hitting me… Ooh-hoo-hoo, I was wrong… I’ll never run out of the Divine Court on my own again, ooh-hoo-hoo… I’ll even replant the cherry tree I broke… Please spare me, I truly know I was wrong… Sister Order, ooh-hoo-hoo…]
Yet, even with her pleas for mercy, the only reply was the familiar whoosh through the air. And the mournful cries from a certain area being spanked.
*Smack!*
[Ooh-hoo-hoo… This is just too much bullying for a god…]
