Chapter 100: Eve’s Eavesdropping and Divine Discipline

Meanwhile, inside the coffin.

The little maid craned her neck, her curiosity piqued by the rustling sounds from outside. She looked up at Eve, who was beneath her.

“Super Miss, what are they doing? Wennya is very curious!”

Eve’s mouth twitched.

She reached out, covering the little maid’s ears and gently resting the restless head against her chest.

“Wennya, you’re still a child. Children aren’t allowed to hear such things; it’ll corrupt you. Go to sleep.”

“Oh… alright, Wennya understands…”

After soothing Wennya, Eve subtly shifted her body. While it appeared she was making room for Wennya to sleep, her ear was pressed tightly against the coffin, diligently and carefully monitoring the sounds from outside.

‘This was called caution! Guarding against potential hidden dangers from the outside world!’

‘Yes! That was it! It certainly wasn’t eavesdropping!’

Eve easily convinced herself, yet the knowing, aunt-like smile on her face refused to fade.

‘So, how far had Anna and Yulim Wilivia progressed?’

‘Judging by the sounds, they must have finished the first step, right?’

Oh ho ho!!

‘Was Anna making the first move, or was it Yulim Wilivia?’

‘Hiss… no matter which of them was taking the lead, just thinking about it was incredibly exciting!’

‘Hmm, they probably wouldn’t make it back to Xielan today. Perhaps she should find an excuse to bring out the tent again tonight and lend it to Anna and the others?’

‘After all, with the atmosphere already set, they should go for it and aim for a home run!’

‘It was their first time for both newcomers. Being in the wilderness was already exciting enough, but with them still in the forest, who knew if there was a risk of being seen?’

‘Their first time definitely deserved a beautiful memory!’

‘Their intimate moment couldn’t possibly be disturbed by outsiders!’

‘Therefore, having a tent to shield them from danger was essential!’

‘Besides, with a tent, they might even feel more uninhibited!’

Eve’s mind raced.

In a daze, she felt as though she had rediscovered the full-throttle enthusiasm she had once possessed as a student, battling through countless exam questions only to reach the final, grand problem and realize it was a bonus question!

In that moment, Eve truly wanted to look up at the sky and sigh in admiration for herself, for Anna, and for Yulim Wilivia.

‘Youth truly is wonderful!!!’ (She wiped away a tear.)

Still pondering how to deliver a perfect answer sheet, Eve suddenly froze.

System prompts appeared before her eyes.

[Newbie Village Protection Mechanism Triggered]

[Cognitive Interference Guidance from Disaster Demon Lord Fionn Cassius has been Blocked]

[Common Sense Modification from Disaster Demon Lord Fionn Cassius has been Blocked]

[Detection shows that Target Fionn Cassius’s Rule Reversal did not cause substantial attack; defensive mechanisms will not be triggered temporarily.]

The three consecutive system prompts caused Eve to widen her eyes. The words “Disaster Demon Lord” were stained blood-red within the prompt boxes, making them particularly jarring.

For a moment, Eve even cast aside her previous salacious thoughts.

The blood moon in the sky earlier had been the Demon Lord’s doing, already causing a massive commotion. Now, with the Newbie Village Protection Mechanism being triggered, it was hard not to suspect the Demon Lord was preparing for another grand scheme.

“Common Sense Modification…”

‘Hiss… that ability gives me a really bad feeling…’

While worried, Eve suddenly seemed to recall something and couldn’t help but inwardly grumble.

‘But then again, could the Newbie Village even block *this*?’

‘Indeed, even the most heaven-defying abilities couldn’t stand against a system kill!’

Hearing the sounds, Wennya, still nestled in Eve’s arms, looked up at her.

“Miss Eve, what was that bad feeling you were just talking about? Did something happen?”

Eve reached out and stroked Wennya’s head. “Hmm… Wennya, after we return to Xielan, you might find the whole world has changed dramatically…”

“…”

****

In the void, a grey orb of light was fleeing at an incredibly fast speed.

As it fled, it didn’t forget to human-like twist a small cluster of light, as if glancing back.

Then it accelerated once more.

[Order, do you ever get tired?! How much longer are you going to chase me?!]

[I haven’t broken any rules, caused any chaos, or even stolen your perfectly ripe cherries from your divine court! Why are you chasing me?!]

The grey orb of light screamed as it fled.

If Anna had been there, hearing that familiar voice, she would undoubtedly have been astonished.

‘Wasn’t that the Goddess of Finality?’

‘How was this so different from how she had appeared before?’

‘And why was she speaking in such a pitiful, pleading tone?’

As soon as its words fell, the bright orb of light chasing closely behind it let out an exasperated, angry roar.

[Destruction!! Are you truly confident when you say those things!!!]

[If you’re so capable, then don’t run!!!!]

‘And wait to be beaten by you?!’

The grey orb of light accelerated its escape.

However, a certain proverb states that in moments of extreme anger, people unleash their full potential.

The same held true for gods.

The bright orb of light became even more dazzling, its flight speed instantly doubling.

Finally, moments later, the bright orb of light caught up to the grey orb, bringing an end to the chase.

The bright orb sealed off all its opponent’s escape routes.

Its benevolent voice echoed eerily through the void.

[I—got—you—Destruction!]

Seeing no escape, the grey orb of light could only tremble and shrink within the cage of light, transforming into a grey-haired loli who crouched, covering her head defensively.

[Uh! Sister Order! I was wrong! Next time I’ll still… no, no, no, I won’t dare next time!]

Within the bright cage, the radiant orb of light also revealed its true form.

Three pairs of wide, golden wings unfurled from behind her. A waterfall of golden hair cascaded down naturally, subtly revealing two white ribbons.

Accompanying her flowing hair was a transparent white veil, adorned with starlight. Through it, one could glimpse her incredibly long legs and a pair of silver-white high heels resting upon the light, sending out ripples of golden energy.

She opened her eyes, her pale blue gaze falling upon the little loli before her.

She drew a white feather duster from behind her and patted it in her hand.

[Destruction, cuteness won’t work.]

[You have only two choices now.]

[Are you going to obediently stick out your butt for a beating, or do you want me to flip you over first before I strike?]

The grey-haired loli tearfully looked up.

[C-can I not choose either of them…?]

But as soon as the words left her mouth, she saw the golden-haired woman clench the feather duster tighter. Simultaneously, a prominent “” mark appeared on her flawless, fair forehead.

[…What do you think?]

A large hand directly grabbed the grey-haired loli by the scruff of her neck, dragging her onto the woman’s lap.

Whoosh—

*Slap!*

[Ahhhh—!]

[Damn it! Is it just because you’re *slightly* stronger than me?! Just you wait until I fully control the Authority of Freedom! I’ll smack your butt just as hard! Damn you, Order! When that time comes, even if you beg for mercy, I won’t stop!]

*Slap!*

[Ahhhh—!]

[Order, you—you just wait! When I find Elder Sister Origin, who went missing, I’ll definitely tell on you! I’ll tell her that you only ever bully me!]

*Slap!*

[Ahhhh… Wuwuwuwuwu!]

[Stop hitting me, stop hitting me… Wuwuwu, I was wrong… I’ll never run out of the divine court on my own again, wuwuwu… I’ll also replant the cherry trees I broke… Please spare me, I truly know I was wrong… Sister Order, wuwuwu…]

Yet, even amidst her pleas for mercy, the only response she received was the familiar whooshing sound, and the mournful cries emanating from a certain part of her body under the relentless beating.

*Slap!*

[Wuwuwu… This is too much bullying for a god…]
