Join the ServerNot long ago, before stepping out the door, Song Ze had been a bundle of nerves.
After all, he was only human. Would he have to mingle with a crowd of demons? Would they go out of their way to bully him? And then there was the Elder Prince’s fiancée—someone who might just appear and give him a thrashing.
When he finally arrived at the destination, Song Ze was astonished to find that inside this enormous, lavish, breathtakingly beautiful, and utterly posh VIP room, there was not a single person.
Moreover, the table was covered in countless dishes of demon realm delicacies. Some looked like absolute dark cuisine, but many others immediately made Song Ze’s mouth water.
Still, a space this large and this much food couldn’t possibly be just for the two of them.
Hadn’t the banquet started yet?
As he approached the table, Song Ze stood behind the Elder Prince, when suddenly he heard the other’s voice.
“Aren’t you going to sit down? Standing must be tiring.”
Song Ze quickly replied, “Your Highness, n-no need. I’m fine standing. When the banquet starts, it wouldn’t be proper for me to sit.” He didn’t want to cause any unnecessary trouble.
Hearing this, the Elder Prince’s expression shifted. He chuckled softly. “There’s no one else.”
Song Ze: “??”
“Here, it’s just the two of us.” The Elder Prince’s crimson eyes fixed on him. “Didn’t I say I was taking you out to eat? Now sit down and enjoy your meal.”
Song Ze: “!!!”
The Elder Prince was way too good!
Same boss, look at how the Elder Prince treated his subordinates! And then look at how the Holy See exploited its workers!
Song Ze almost felt an urge to defect—not that he had any real allegiance to begin with (.
He quickly sat down. At first, he was a bit hesitant, but after taking a bite or two and seeing no reaction from the Elder Prince, he began scarfing down the other dishes.
“Your name?”
“Wh-what?” Song Ze almost choked.
“I still don’t know your name,” the Elder Prince said.
After all, someone as lofty as him would never bother with a s*ave’s name, but now things were different.
Song Ze certainly couldn’t reveal his real name. What if the Elder Prince investigated and found everything out? His identity had to remain secret!
“Good, I’ll remember it,” the Elder Prince stated.
Song Ze: “…” No, please forget it.
…
…
Song Ze ate and drank, living like a winner. He even started to wonder if it was really okay for him to be this comfortable in the demon realm.
Plus, the Elder Prince was far too easy to talk to. Song Ze had originally planned to use some of the secrets he knew as leverage—after all, having played the game, he was well aware of many things in this world…
But after just a few days of flattery, the Elder Prince had taken him out to eat! Song Ze couldn’t help but think of the usually tyrannical prince as ‘kind’.
Then, as Song Ze was eating, the Elder Prince’s expression suddenly changed, as if recalling something unpleasant. He said somewhat coldly, “It seems we have guests.”
Seeing the Elder Prince stand up, Song Ze immediately followed suit, scrambling after him. He figured that as the Elder Prince’s underling, he should at least act the part—maybe put on some airs and intimidate others.
As soon as they stepped outside, an overwhelming aura surged toward them. Song Ze instantly felt his steps become heavy… Poor guy, after being suppressed to level 10, he couldn’t even move in such a situation!
Just as he was thinking he should stay put, a warm hand grasped his. In an instant, all the pressure vanished, and his body felt light.
Song Ze looked at the Elder Prince in shock, countless thoughts racing through his mind like rapid-fire comments.
Even though the Elder Prince had always been so flamboyantly gay, this was way too considerate and gentle! Was he sure this wasn’t someone else wearing his face?!
Then the two walked outside. Just as he was stepping through the door, Song Ze stumbled and nearly fell. At that moment, an all-too-familiar voice reached his ears.
Hearing that voice—undoubtedly his conquest target, the Second Prince of the Demon Realm, Andreya—Song Ze froze behind the Elder Prince, not daring to lift his head.
Why did he have to be so unlucky! Of all people, he had to run into Andreya! This was the worst possible development. He should never have come out to eat!
Not only would Andreya likely drag him back for some ‘fun’, but wouldn’t it also expose that he was a Holy Knight carrying the mark of the Divine Inheritance? The Elder Prince would surely fly into a rage and kill him on the spot!
Song Ze stood there like a statue, not even paying attention to what the two princes were saying. It probably had nothing to do with him anyway.
But the next moment, the grip on his hand tightened, and he was yanked forward.
Just as he thought the Elder Prince was about to settle scores with him, the prince’s voice rang out.
“This is my fiancé.”
Song Ze: “???”
What… what kind of move was that?! Did he hear wrong?!
‘Fiancé’ from the Elder Prince—what did that even mean?!
Song Ze shot a pleading look at the Elder Prince, hoping for a reasonable explanation—like that ‘fiancé’ was just a pronunciation error and actually meant ‘subordinate’ in demon language or something.
Then he met the Elder Prince’s affectionate crimson eyes.
Song Ze: “…” Farewell.
He finally, suddenly realized that the Elder Prince really was gay.
No wonder the prince had always acted so flamboyantly gay!!!
This world was beyond salvation. Not just the target, but even ordinary male characters had turned gay. Was anyone’s sexual orientation still normal?!
The passersby, however, all looked unfazed. After all, they had long heard that the Elder Prince was going to marry this human. Being shocked now would be so last season.
But when they got a clear look at the human boy, they all felt a jolt—no wonder the prince had taken a liking to him. This human was just too cute!! They even felt a urge to pat his head.
Unfortunately, given the current situation… he might just leave this world soon.
The next instant, the air turned icy cold, snapping Song Ze back to the fact that another heavyweight VIP was present. He cautiously looked at Andreya across from him.
Andreya tilted his head, flashing a harmless, gentle smile at them, though his crimson eyes, just like the Elder Prince’s, were dark and ominous.
“Did I hear something wrong?” Andreya said slowly, taking a few steps forward, closing the distance. “Big Brother, you have a human fiancé?”
Song Ze: “…” Ee-yoo-wee-yoo, so terrifying!
The onlookers were all on edge. Was the Second Prince going to make a scene, humiliating the Elder Prince for taking such a lowly human as his betrothed, claiming it was beneath him? Would they start fighting right here?! How terrifying!
But then again, the Second Prince had always been the sensible type, so of course he would look down on his brother’s fiancé, right? Was that why he was angry?
“That’s right,” the Elder Prince said flatly. “Father has already approved.”
“Are you sure there’s no mistake?” Andreya’s voice grew even lower. “Big Brother, you’d better take a good look.”
The crowd held their breath, already envisioning the future. They also clearly saw the human boy in the Elder Prince’s arms go pale, trembling with fear.
How pitiful. He was just a fragile human, caught in such a situation. He must be scared out of his wits… Everyone felt a surge of sympathy.
The Elder Prince tightened his grip on Song Ze’s hand, as if trying to reassure him, confident in his own strength to protect Song Ze no matter what.
Song Ze shuddered, not at all comforted. He could clearly see that after the Elder Prince’s gesture, Andreya’s gaze turned even icier! That NT-R scene must have infuriated him.
This was a truly brutal love triangle. Someone save him—
“See what?” the Elder Prince finally responded to Andreya’s earlier words, his tone carrying a hint of cold mockery. “Are you questioning my choice of fiancé? Do you have the right?”
“Of course I have the right.” Andreya was almost laughing in anger. He suddenly stepped forward and grabbed Song Ze’s other hand with lightning speed, a rare look of pride on his face. “After all, he is my fated mate. I was here first! Big Brother, you shouldn’t take what belongs to another.”
Everyone around was stunned.
What had they just heard?!
His Highness the Second Prince wasn’t going to humiliate or kill the human—he was here to snatch him away?! And he claimed he was the first?! What was this love triangle?!
This was way too surreal!!
