Join the ServerThe servants around the Elder Prince couldn’t help but feel a flicker of sympathy for this human. They thought he wouldn’t last more than a few days in the Elder Prince’s hands—after all, the human body was so fragile, how could it withstand the prince’s torment?
But to their surprise, the human was perfectly fine even after several days.
Song Ze had been having a rough time these past few days. Every day, he had to attend to the demonic beast left behind by the Elder Prince, terrified that the little ancestor might get agitated and tear him apart.
Moreover, he had been seeing the Elder Prince with unusually high frequency. Naturally, Song Ze showered him with solicitous care, acting like the prince’s own kin, thinking that if he could butter up the Elder Prince, he might secure a position as his sworn brother, and then the matter of the demon clan’s ruins would be as good as settled!
He knew that the demon clan considered their inherited ruins a sacred site. They believed themselves to be the direct descendants of an ancient deity, and only their kind deserved the god’s inheritance.
These ruins opened once every few centuries, and every demon who entered gained considerable benefits. Of course, there were dangers, but demons never feared such things.
Naturally, the slots were limited, so he had to cling to someone powerful to get a chance!
In the game, the protagonist used a slot provided by the demon clan leader to enter, and the leader even made a bet with the Elder Prince over who would obtain the inheritance. Naturally, the protagonist was looked down upon—practically no one thought he’d gain anything. But the final result slapped everyone in the face, and it was then that the Elder Prince first felt murderous intent toward the protagonist.
After a few days, Song Ze felt that he had built up a decent amount of goodwill with the Elder Prince. Every time they met, the prince seemed to be in a good mood.
The only thing that puzzled him was that the prince kept making strange gestures, almost like a pervert. Sometimes he even looked like he was about to kiss him.
This scared Song Ze into racking his brain to figure out what the Elder Prince was up to, then cleverly defusing the situation.
It was really tough. The Elder Prince wasn’t a pervert! But if such gay-ish behavior continued, he might end up being beaten to death by the prince in a fit of anger!
…
Meanwhile, the Elder Prince was also somewhat puzzled.
In the most luxurious high-end restaurant in the demon capital, the Elder Prince sat in the finest private box, looking nonchalant.
“Speaking of which, I never expected that woman from the Oster family would try to buy that human! Isn’t that a public slap in Your Highness’s face!”
“Yes! She was supposed to be Your Highness’s fiancée, how could she do such a thing!”
The others indignantly discussed the matter. In the current court of public opinion, it was believed that the Elder Prince, enraged by the eldest daughter of the Oster family trying to buy a human, had purchased the human himself to humiliate her.
And the prince’s subtle mood in recent days was also attributed to this incident, so they began to lambast the woman.
As for what had become of that human, they didn’t even bother to think about it. Although that human boy was beautiful and pitiful—even they felt a twinge of reluctance—since he had offended the Elder Prince, there was no saving him in the demon realm.
“In my opinion, there’s no shortage of noble ladies in the capital; we don’t need her.”
“Right, right. Your Highness shouldn’t be upset over this!”
Though they said this, the engagement between the two was still likely to proceed as planned, since the Oster family was an indispensable pillar of support for the Elder Prince.
The others spoke with hopeful looks toward the Elder Prince.
The Elder Prince seemed to snap back to reality. In fact, he had never taken the matter to heart. He spoke flatly, “If someone keeps currying favor with you, what’s the reason?”
The others were taken aback. What else could it be? Obviously, they wanted to latch onto the Elder Prince’s coattails!
Wasn’t that what they themselves did every day, toadying to the prince?
Then they realized something was off. If it were just an ordinary demon flattering the prince, would the prince even bother to ask? Probably not. So there must be something between them!
It was shocking! Who could have so quietly caught the attention of such an Elder Prince?
After all, though the Elder Prince seemed like a seasoned type, his standards were too high and he was suspected of having a cleanliness fetish, so he had never summoned anyone to serve him in bed…
To please the prince, everyone scrambled to spout nonsense. Under such circumstances, they could even spin hatred as love. As for how that person would react—rhetorical question! Who would dare refuse the Elder Prince!
“Yes! If he didn’t like you, why would he act like that!”
“But he refused me.” The prince’s expression turned cold.
This left everyone confused. Song Ze’s daily care was genuinely attentive, yet whenever he tried to go further, he immediately looked frightened. But his concern wasn’t false; the Elder Prince could sense it.
“He probably really likes you, Your Highness, which is why he’s like this—afraid to get too close.”
“After all, Your Highness is so exalted; ordinary people wouldn’t dare approach too much, fearing rejection.”
“Maybe he’s just shy and waiting for you to make the first move?”
Amid the chatter, the Elder Prince nodded slightly, reached a conclusion, stood up, and left.
The others could clearly feel that the prince’s mood had improved, and they felt clever.
“But… which sentence made him happy?”
—
The Elder Prince had figured it out.
After all, the other party was a human, and he had heard that humans were very conservative. Probably, without a defined relationship, he wouldn’t be intimate with him.
The solution was simple: just give him a title, wouldn’t that be enough?
The Elder Prince had never cared about the engagement with the Oster family. As a rock-solid heir, did he need any faction’s help? It was just icing on the cake.
He was willful; as long as he was happy, he would do anything.
Soon, the Elder Prince arrived at Song Ze’s residence.
Pushing open the door, he saw the golden-haired boy asleep beside a black cat, looking very obedient. Bathed in the sunlight from the window, he seemed like a spirit of light.
The Elder Prince couldn’t help reaching out to touch his porcelain-like cheek.
The next moment, the boy’s eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings, and his azure eyes reflected the figure before him.
He seemed startled, stepped back a little, then looked at the prince with some embarrassment. “Your Highness, why are you back?”
Song Ze had only dared to sleep because he heard the prince had gone out! Otherwise, sleeping in broad daylight in front of the boss he wanted to latch onto—well, that obviously looked bad for his prospects.
“I already know what you want.” The Elder Prince spoke calmly.
Song Ze’s eyes lit up, looking as if he wanted to approach but dared not. “Your… Your Highness.”
It seemed his efforts over the past few days had paid off!
“After all, you’re just a human, so achieving such a goal is indeed difficult.” The Elder Prince continued.
Song Ze’s face fell, and he sighed. “That can’t be helped…”
“Your Highness! Th-thank you so much!” Song Ze looked up, his cheeks flushed with excitement. “I will work hard!”
Song Ze’s favorability toward the Elder Prince skyrocketed. Through these days of interaction, he found the prince wasn’t as twisted as he thought—much more normal than Andreya, actually. Maybe in the game, he was only that perverted because of their enmity; now, without conflicts of interest, this was his true nature.
Seeing his delight, the Elder Prince couldn’t help patting Song Ze’s head while thinking about how to handle this matter to convince the old fossils. If that didn’t work, he would just use force. As for the old Demon King, he wouldn’t bother with such trivial matters.

At the teleportation array in the demon capital, a dazzling light suddenly burst forth, forcing everyone nearby to shut their eyes.
Several men in black robes and black masks, as if receiving an order, immediately knelt around the array, looking at it with reverence.
“Th-these are the Second Prince’s direct subordinates!”
“Could it be that the Second Prince has returned?”
Amid the guards’ astonished voices, a seemingly harmless black-haired youth appeared in the center of the magic array.
Everyone immediately bowed.
Andreya stepped out of the array. Before he could say anything, his gaze fixed on the luxurious palace in the distance, and his crimson eyes darkened.
“He’s in there.”
