Join the ServerThis time, Song Ze had no time left to wonder if it was all a dream.
He was beginning to feel that this might be where it all ended for him.
Except for the Holy Son, every single one of his conquest targets had somehow gathered here!
Even in the game, you did your best to keep the conquest targets from colliding. One or two bumping into each other might have been manageable, but now there were so many gathered that it felt like they were about to blow up the entire demon capital!
Meanwhile, the others heard Song Ze’s words and felt a sense of disbelief.
“This man… could it be…”
“No, it’s not ‘could be’ anymore!”
There was no doubt: this newly arrived, outrageously imposing man was yet another old flame of their two princes’ new fiancé.
Compared to the shock when Aliel first appeared, they were almost getting used to it now. How terrifying—why were they getting used to something like this?! Just what had this human been up to before?!
Then, after hearing Song Ze’s startled words, Idis looked at him, his expression calm but his violet eyes carrying a hint of tenderness.
However, Song Ze shuddered. In his view, this was the kind of sick, self-centered tenderness that ignored others’ wishes—definitely not the kind that brought anyone happiness!
(Though if the other party were a mature older woman, he might have enjoyed it.)
“I’ve come to take you home,” Idis said softly.
Song Ze’s body went stiff. The Elder Prince stepped in front of him, his face cold.
Seizing the chance that someone was still protecting him, Song Ze steeled himself and said, “Brother Idis, have you forgotten… we don’t have a home anymore. Besides, I have my own affairs—I won’t go back with you!”
The former ducal mansion had become a forbidden ground, with Abyssal monsters occasionally emerging from it.
“As long as you come back with me, we’ll have a home,” Idis said flatly, his violet eyes devoid of emotion as he stared at the Elder Prince. “Or is it that these demons have seduced you? I’ve always heard that demons are liars, cunning and deceitful. It can’t be helped that you were fooled…”
“But it’s alright.” Idis smiled. “I’ll take you back and teach you properly. I’ll tell you… whose words to believe and whose not to believe.”
As his words fell, the ground suddenly cracked open, and horrifying skeletal creatures crawled out, attacking the surrounding demons.
Song Ze: “…” Damn, this guy was way scarier than any demon!
He should have realized long ago that Idis was impossible to reason with; the guy had been twisted for years and was no longer normal!
…Song Ze recalled the diary he had read and felt that Idis might have been sociopathic from birth.
The Elder Prince’s face darkened. “Do you think you can run wild in the Demon Realm just because you have some power?”
The black cat that had been so well-behaved leaped out from some corner, transforming into a giant black panther with two wings on its ribs. It spewed pitch-black flames at the surroundings, and the skeletal undead were instantly reduced to ashes.
The Elder Prince sneered, mounted the black panther, and attacked Idis in the air.
Meanwhile, the priests, having finally completed the ritual, stopped slacking off and started using magic… to protect themselves and those around them.
Are you kidding?! They were just priests; at most, they could add buffs for the two princes. Actually fighting was out of the question. They had to rely on the formal guards and experts of the capital! But why hadn’t anyone come yet, even with all this commotion? It just wasn’t logical.
The other demon nobles had already shrunk into corners, wishing they could pretend they didn’t exist. If not for the strange magical barrier that had covered the palace since earlier, trapping everyone inside, they would have been the first to run.
Amid the fierce battle, the entire palace began to crumble, stones falling continuously. It was like a scene from the apocalypse.
Song Ze stood there, cold sweat pouring down his face as he constantly checked the situation. He really didn’t know how to save everyone’s lives… This was too much to ask of him!
In the game’s harem ending, it only happened because at the final moment, both the protagonist and the final boss were severely injured, and the inheritance was incomplete, forcing the four conquest targets to heal each other in order to recover. Under those circumstances, a harem was inevitable!
Just then, he saw the situation taking a turn for the worse. In a panic, he ran forward and tripped over some spreading vines.
“Wh-what—”
In the heat of battle, Aliel immediately caught Song Ze in his arms, his killing intent flaring.
“It’s been a while,” Song Ze said, his face stiff.
Aliel looked at him with pity in his eyes. “You’ve been through so much. You must have suffered a lot during your time in the demon realm… Once we kill these demons, we can go back soon.”
“W-wait…” Song Ze was completely overwhelmed.
Andreya sighed over there. “It seems he’s a bit afraid of you? After all, you’re the one who suddenly showed up and caused trouble at someone else’s engagement ceremony. He and I are the ones who actually formed a contract. Do you really think what you did was right?”
Though it was clearly a provocation, it truly enraged Aliel. He was the jealous type, getting jealous even when nothing happened, let alone when Song Ze was actually engaged to someone else.
“Are you kidding?” Aliel said coldly. “We’ve known each other from the very beginning, and we love each other. Song Ze, tell them.”
Song Ze: “…Uh, well, I, you… wait…”
Ahhh!! Because of all his previous actions, Aliel had always believed they were in love…
But the truth was that it was all a misunderstanding from the start—he had only acted that way because he thought Aliel was a girl. How could he say that out loud? If Aliel found out, he would be heartbroken.
“See?” Andreya said, his tone still carrying that childlike innocence, but in this situation, it only enraged Aliel further. “You’re the only one who thinks that. In the end, it’s all in your head… It can’t be helped, people do that sometimes. But it’s okay, you can still give up now, right?”
“No, that’s not it…”
Song Ze felt exhausted and like a total scumbag.
Aliel was furious. He took a letter out of his spatial necklace and said emotionally, “This is a letter Song Ze gave me, to be opened at our wedding. I’ll show you all now.”
Song Ze was stunned. “…!!!”
Wasn’t that the breakup letter he had written to minimize damage and prevent Aliel from going dark?! And now it was only making things worse!!
No!! Anything but that!!
But obviously, Aliel, in his rage, wasn’t going to listen to Song Ze. He was absolutely going to open that letter… and who knew what would happen after that!
Song Ze, who knew Aliel inside and out, knew that saying anything would only add fuel to the fire!
At this critical moment, without thinking too much, Song Ze grabbed Aliel’s clothes, leaned in, and kissed him directly.
