Join the ServerA momentary blank filled Miss Os’s mind. The Elder Prince’s question was simply too far from her expectations.
Given the Elder Prince’s persona, shouldn’t he seize this opportunity to threaten her? Instead, he seemed, perhaps, interested in Song Ze’s name?
Though a hint of confusion lingered, Miss Os knew this was a chance to save Song Ze’s life. She couldn’t let it slip away. Taking a deep breath, she said, “Yes.”
“Good.” The Elder Prince gave a slight nod and walked over to Song Ze, looking down at him.
Song Ze suddenly remembered that this Elder Prince probably had no memory—was still the same cruel character from before. He immediately stayed still, letting himself be scrutinized.
But strangely, while others had been crushed by the Elder Prince’s pressure just moments ago, Song Ze felt nothing. Was the Elder Prince so considerate as to notice his abysmally weak strength?
The Elder Prince stared at Song Ze for a while, then reached out to pinch his chin. “Who are you?” he asked flatly.
Clearly, the Elder Prince wasn’t interested in Song Ze’s reply. This question wasn’t meant for Song Ze at all—it was more like asking himself.
He had come here because of Miss Os’s outrageous actions. He’d been agitated from not finding the person he sought, but the moment he saw that s*ave from afar, everything else faded away. Only that s*ave boy existed before his eyes.
It wasn’t human, and there was a subtle difference from the instinctive feeling in his subconscious. But it was certainly right—this was definitely the one he was looking for!
Everyone else was shocked, thinking this s*ave was about to face a miserable fate. Even Miss Os looked both relieved and pained.
Based on their usual understanding of the Elder Prince, they interpreted the scene: he must have realized how important this s*ave was to Miss Os and decided to torment them both. Taking the s*ave away would let him torture the s*ave and blackmail the Os family—killing two birds with one stone.
“Yes, Your Highness.” The guard nodded, about to lift Song Ze roughly. Because of the rough movement, Song Ze felt very uncomfortable, his expression turning pained.
The Elder Prince frowned. “Don’t move.”
The guard instantly froze, not daring to move, looking at the Elder Prince uneasily, unsure what he had done wrong.
“You’ll make him uncomfortable,” the Elder Prince said. In the end, he stepped forward himself and lifted Song Ze into his arms.
He didn’t think much about it—he just saw Song Ze’s expression and felt unhappy. Since that was the case, he only needed to remove the source of his displeasure. What others thought didn’t matter.
Everyone, including Song Ze, was completely stunned.
This was their first meeting, wasn’t it? Even if there was some supposed favorability boost from before, Song Ze never expected the Elder Prince to be so unrestrained on first meeting!
The others were utterly bewildered. What was going on?! Wasn’t the Elder Prince here to catch a cheater? He should be dragging this lover away for a good lesson! Why was he carrying him princess-style when even Miss Os and the Elder Prince had never been so intimate?
“What’s wrong?” The Elder Prince looked at Song Ze’s astonished expression, apparently confused by his reaction, as if Song Ze’s surprise was the strangest thing.
At the same time, Song Ze could clearly feel that the power he could control was much greater than before—obviously due to the Elder Prince’s rapidly rising favorability toward him.
This was so efficient! Rather than some kind of courting or favor grinding, it seemed like the mere stimulus of their meeting made the other recall the affection he once had…
The people around also felt the Elder Prince’s pressure recede, and the whole space became lighter, but they couldn’t relax at all! What was this melodramatic scene?!
Miss Os, once free, rushed in front of them, her eyes fixed on Song Ze. “Your Highness, what exactly do you intend to do?”
“Oh? I need to report my intentions to you?” the Elder Prince sneered.
“No, I just want to know if Song Ze, he… can be safe.” Miss Os bit her lower lip, looking at the Elder Prince with a hint of pleading.
She wouldn’t assume Song Ze was completely safe.
“There’s no place in the entire empire safer than by my side,” the Elder Prince said flatly.
“Th-then can I… occasionally…” Knowing she could do nothing more and that rushing in would mean death, Miss Os chose to show weakness now, waiting for an opportunity later.
The Elder Prince’s gaze turned icy as he looked at her. “From now on, there is no connection between you two. He is mine. Remember that.”
Miss Os’s eyes flashed with unwillingness, but reason triumphed over impulse. Clenching her fists, she stepped back, glaring hatefully at the Elder Prince’s back as if to forever remember today’s humiliation.
Song Ze craned his neck to look at her, silently mouthing, “Don’t worry about me.”
Though this was just an illusion, it felt too real. If he didn’t do this, he felt he would be guilty.
The others were utterly shocked. As they watched the Elder Prince leave, they were bursting with gossip—this was absolutely explosive! If speaking ill of the Elder Prince didn’t mean a death without burial, this news alone could sell out any newspaper in the demon realm.
After all, the Elder Prince’s fiancee seemed interested in a s*ave, brought him to a banquet, and the Elder Prince caught them red-handed—only to find that his target had been that s*ave all along! It even turned into a situation where the Elder Prince and his fiancee were fighting over the same person. Such exciting gossip, buried in their hearts, was pure torture!

Song Ze found himself back at the Elder Prince’s residence—a familiar place.
As soon as he returned, he was shackled and chained in the room. The Elder Prince sat not far away, looking at him with an arrogant expression.
Song Ze: “…” This familiar development. Too damn familiar!
Unlike the uncontrollable bad endings with Idis before, Song Ze actually felt a sense of security and trust here with the Elder Prince.
The Elder Prince was mysteriously reliable like that.
“Who are you, really?”
“I… I’m Song Ze,” Song Ze said.
“No.” The Elder Prince stood up, walked over, and stared at Song Ze from close up, his crimson eyes exuding an intense pressure. “I’m just asking: why do you keep appearing in my dreams?”
Song Ze: “???”
If it weren’t the Elder Prince saying this under these circumstances, Song Ze would have thought he was being fed cheesy pick-up lines.
“I… well…” Song Ze tried to explain everything, but his mouth moved without producing any sound. It seemed such things couldn’t be spoken in the illusion. He quickly gave up. “Sorry, Your Highness, I’m not very clear about that…”
“Then why, whenever I see you, I feel my heart can’t calm down?” the Elder Prince said coldly. “What did you do to me?”
“???”
Wait, this really isn’t a pick-up line?!
But thinking about it, it was possible for someone with the Elder Prince’s personality. After all, a depraved character like him might never have experienced fear or a racing heart before… So his confusion was reasonable.
But how was Song Ze supposed to say it? That this might be… love?!
No, he couldn’t back down. He had to pull himself together. He was already engaged to the Elder Prince, had faced so many terrifying perverts and various bad endings—what was there to fear? The most important thing was to leave the illusion. If all else failed, he could reload.
Song Ze steeled himself and said tactfully, “No, Your Highness, this… I… well, I don’t know how to explain. If you really want to hear it, please come closer.”
The Elder Prince approached without hesitation, looking at him with interest, seemingly wondering what answer Song Ze would give.
Song Ze took a deep breath, stood on tiptoe, grabbed the Elder Prince’s collar, and kissed his thin lips.
“Your Highness, perhaps this is the answer.”
He looked into those beautiful ruby-like eyes and spoke softly.
