Chapter 114: You B*stard, You Ended Up Paralyzed

“As*hole, as*hole, sexually repressed as*hole!”

“I haven’t even had the chance to settle the score with you, and you’re already dead!”

“Damn it, what an as*hole!”

“How can you be so irresponsible!”

“I’m not going to cry for you! You sexually repressed as*hole who would even lay a hand on his good brother!”

Tang Yunle wiped her tears with her sleeve, abruptly got on the bicycle, and stomped on the pedals. The wheels rolled over the gravel path in front of the garage and crashed into the grass.

The bicycle raced wildly on the grass, the handlebars almost swerving into the flower bushes several times. She gripped them tightly, her knuckles white.

“Ah!!!” Tang Yunle suddenly stopped the bike and roared at the sky.

After roaring, she still didn’t feel relieved. She kicked the pedals hard a few more times and cursed hatefully, “Damn it, that kind of as*hole deserved to die early!”

After cursing, she looked up at the sky. The sunlight was very bright, but it felt a little chilly on her body.

Tang Yunle hugged her arms and squatted down, her back against the bike seat, and buried her face in her knees.

“Wuwu…”

A suppressed whimper first squeezed out of her throat, like a wounded little animal wailing.

Then, the crying grew louder and louder, from a whimper to a heart-wrenching wail.

She hugged her knees and buried her face deep inside, her shoulders heaving violently. Her tears soaked the blades of grass, creating a large, dark wet patch beneath her.

“As*hole, liar, you promised you would come back alive.”

“You clearly said that if I called you ‘daddy,’ you would take care of me for the rest of my life. Why did you lie to me again!”

“I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!!!”

All the words that had been bottled up all night, all the dull pain that had been stuck in her throat, now turned into cries.

The wind blew through the trees, rustling, as if someone were sighing.

A broken bellows.

Tang Yunle sat on the grass, completely drained of strength, not even having the energy to wipe her tears.

Tears streamed down her cheeks, slid past her chin, and dripped onto the back of her hand, which was covered in grass clippings, as cold as ice.

She didn’t know how long she had cried. It wasn’t until the sky was tinged with a crimson red that she slowly looked up. Her eyes were as red and swollen as walnuts, and there were still tear stains on her face, but her tears had already run dry.

She looked at the bicycle that was lying on its side on the grass. The handlebars were still dotted with the morning dew, sparkling, like someone’s tears.

She just sat there, on the empty lawn, crying like a lost child.

The sun rose higher and higher, stretching her shadow very long. But the person who was supposed to be standing next to her shadow would never come back.

It’s so sad.

So sad that it felt as if there was nothing left to look forward to in this long rest of her life.

“You big liar…” she sniffed, her voice sticky and thick with a nasal tone. “I haven’t even told you that I actually…”

“Forget it, I don’t hate you anymore.”

“You big liar.”

“Don’t forget it. What is it that you actually? I want to hear it.”

Suddenly, that familiar voice, like an electric current, shot through her eardrums. Her whole body stiffened. She thought she was hallucinating from crying.

The wind rustled the leaves, and the sunlight was so bright it made her eyes water. She blinked blankly, and the tear stains on the back of her hand were tight from the sun.

Two figures appeared on the high ground of the lawn. Because they were backlit, she couldn’t see their specific features for a moment.

Just by their silhouettes, one was sitting in a wheelchair, and the other was pushing it from behind.

She was as if nailed to the spot, even forgetting to breathe.

That voice…

The wind suddenly stopped.

The wind had indeed stopped. The rustling of the leaves had also disappeared. The world was so quiet that only her own drumming heartbeat could be heard.

She slowly looked up, squinting against the light, trying to see the two silhouettes clearly.

The person in the wheelchair seemed to move, raising a hand to block the sun.

Now, she could see clearly.

It was him.

His features were still the same as in her memory, but his face was a little paler, and he had changed from his casual clothes to a hospital’s blue and white patient gown. But his ice-blue eyes were shining as they looked at her, as if they held the entire sea.

“What’s wrong?” he spoke again, his voice a little helpless and yet joyful.

“I had just woken up when I heard Big Sister Xiaolan call my brother to report that you were crying your eyes out!”

“I thought I would be recuperating in the hospital for a few more days, but now I can only rush back on a plane.”

“Good daughter, aren’t you going to give your father, who just snatched a life back from the gates of hell, a big hug?”

Qin Liang opened his arms and smiled faintly.

Tang Yunle opened her mouth, her throat as if it were blocked by something, and she couldn’t make a single sound.

But tears came first, not the wronged crying from before, but hot, ecstatic tears that fell on her chest and soaked her clothes.

But she didn’t pounce forward to hug the young man right away. Instead, she bit her lip and stomped her foot hard on the ground.

“As*hole! As*hole! You were already dead, so why did you have to come back to life!!”

“You big liar, you actually dared to send a fake death message to trick me!!”

“Little bro, when did you develop this hobby?” Qin Wen, who was pushing the wheelchair from behind, looked at the crying and angry girl before him, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly.

“This… I’m not sure. But from Ah Le’s appearance, she must have seen the electronic suicide note I wrote.”

Qin Liang was also a little bewildered. He paused for a moment, as if thinking, “But I clearly set the time to a week after today. Could it be that I made a mistake when I was stroking Yanhuo’s fur and typing on the keyboard?”

Forget it. Anyway, I’m alive.

I won’t go into these details.

After saying this, Qin Liang turned his head to look at the man behind him, then pointed to the front. “Bro, she and I need some private space now.”

“I understand. Remember to come back for dinner tonight!”

Qin Wen left.

Only the two of them were left on the vast lawn. One stood there, clenching her fists, crying and angry. The other sat in a wheelchair, looking at the girl, his expression helpless, but his eyes were full of a smile.

Suddenly, Tang Yunle moved.

She pounced forward, squatted by the wheelchair, and tightly grasped his hand.

“As*hole, what the hell is going on?! Why did you lie to me!”

“If I told you that I didn’t know what was going on at the time, that the release time was clearly set for a week later, would you believe me?” Qin Liang touched his nose, a little embarrassed.

“I don’t believe you, but it’s good that you’re alive.”

Tang Yunle stood up, her eyes red and swollen as she looked at him. Her gaze fixed on the wheelchair the young man was in. Her cheeks were puffed out, her expression angry.

“You’ve been reduced to a wheelchair. Are you paralyzed? But it’s also good. A pervert like you, who is so sexually repressed that he would lay a hand on his good brother, should be in a wheelchair, preferably for the rest of your life! Impotent!!”

Hearing this, even the usually good-tempered Qin Liang felt a little angry in his heart.

What does she mean, a wheelchair? This was just a side effect of the surgery. He would be fine after a few months of recuperation!

And, which man could accept being satirized in that way by others!

“Ah Le, bring your face closer,” he beckoned to the girl with his finger.

“What for?” Tang Yunle said, while moving her head a little closer.

He reached out his long and powerful right arm and wrapped it around the girl’s slender and soft waist. He lowered his head, and his lips covered her forehead. He said softly, “Tang Yunle, I like you.”
