The sky was clear, and the grassland was as green as a blanket.
A nimble figure was galloping on the grassland of the training ground. It was none other than Qin Wen.
He was wearing a well-tailored riding suit, his posture as straight as a pine tree. One hand was firmly in control of the reins, while the other was wrapped around the waist of the beauty in his arms, protecting her securely in front of him.
Not far away, by the fence, several girls in moon-white uniforms were watching with smiles.
Some were leaning against the wooden fence, holding a video camera in their hands, their eyes always following the galloping figure. Some were holding trays with hot towels and hot tea. And some were waving their small fists, shouting in an admiring tone, “Young master is so handsome!” with a look of a little fan, providing a full measure of emotional value.
And on a sightseeing platform further away, Tang Yunle put down her binoculars and looked at the scene in the direction of the training ground. She poked the young man beside her with her elbow and clicked her tongue in praise.
“Ah Liang, you look so handsome when you’re riding a horse. You look so full of a sense of security.”
“Tsk, tsk, tsk, look at that big sister in his arms. She’s practically melting in his embrace. And those big sisters on the side who are cheering him on, they look so happy.”
Qin Liang put down his binoculars.
Although it was the truth, hearing Tang Yunle say it like that, for some reason, he felt a little uncomfortable.
“Actually, it’s okay. Riding a horse is very simple,” he coughed lightly. “And it just looks handsome. In reality, it’s not that great.”
Just as the young man’s nonchalant voice fell, he was met with a pair of expectant and longing dark black eyes.
“Then do you know how to do it? If so, can you take me for a ride?”
“Apart from on TV and in movies, I’ve never seen a real horse, let alone ridden one,” she said, her eyes sparkling, clearly full of anticipation.
Qin Liang was at a loss for words.
Although his family had built a racecourse, and although his brother, his father, and even his mother could ride horses, he couldn’t.
The reason was simple. He had to have surgery every three years, and his physical foundation was not good.
He looked at the girl beside him. Her long hair was casually draped over her waist, her face was exquisite, and she was looking at him with her head tilted, her eyebrows full of a girlish charm and longing that made it hard to refuse.
For some reason, Qin Liang felt that he should agree to her.
And then, like his big brother treated women, he would hold Tang Yunle in his arms, teach her how to ride a horse, and enjoy her admiring gaze.
However, just as he was about to agree, he remembered that he had no experience in riding a horse. The young man cleared his throat and quickly changed the subject. “Riding a horse is actually not that interesting.”
“Ah Le, didn’t you say last night that you wanted to see my big manor? Just in time, I’ll show you around.”
“But I want to ride a horse more now…” the girl muttered to herself.
Qin Liang pretended not to hear and pulled her to the southeast entrance of the residence, where a number of new energy classic cars were parked.
There were two reasons for using a new energy classic car: one, it didn’t burn oil, so it wouldn’t produce any strange smells; and two, the manor in this world was too large. If they were to walk, it would probably take a few hours.
Qin Liang called over a female servant who could drive. Just as he was about to get into the car, he was stopped by a small, fair hand.
Tang Yunle pointed to the row of bicycles next to the new energy classic car, a look of anticipation on her face.
“Ah Liang, why don’t we go for a bike ride?”
“Driving is too boring. Biking is better.”
Qin Liang looked at the clean and tidy interior of the car, then glanced at the bicycles on the side.
In theory, riding a bicycle in one’s own manor was indeed more enjoyable than taking a car. But in reality, he hadn’t learned how to ride a bicycle yet.
The reason was the same as before. His body was not good, so he hadn’t learned.
Seeing that Qin Liang hadn’t said anything for a long time, Tang Yunle seemed to have thought of something. She slapped her forehead in realization.
“So you don’t know how to ride a bicycle.”
“It’s okay, I’ll give you a ride.”
Saying that, Tang Yunle pulled Qin Liang and walked towards the bicycles.
“Come, come, let me show you my skills.”
“Although my family doesn’t have a bicycle, I’ve ridden a shared bicycle a few times. My skills are definitely on point.”
“After the college entrance exams, when I wasn’t getting money from that gold… ahem, when I wasn’t playing games, I would go out for a ride.”
Tang Yunle got on the front seat of the bicycle and patted the back seat, signaling Qin Liang to get on.
When he saw the look on her face, “What? You look down on my skills?”
Qin Liang shook his head. “No, it’s just…”
“Then hurry up and get on!”
The young man was helpless and had no choice but to carefully get on.
“Come, put your arms around my waist!”
Qin Liang’s body stiffened slightly, but he still followed her words and put his arms around the girl’s waist.
“Hold a little higher. Your hands are almost touching my legs.”
He moved his hands up a little, but his fingertips inadvertently touched two soft mounds that were pressed together, and his heart jumped.
“Sit tight, little bro!!!”
Tang Yunle curled her lips into a smile and stomped on the pedals. With a “creak,” the bicycle’s wheels made two harsh scraping sounds on the ground and headed towards the mountains.
Qin Liang was thrown forward by the inertia, and his arms subconsciously tightened, firmly encircling Tang Yunle’s waist.
“Don’t worry, my riding skills are super steady!”
She turned her head and shouted.
“I’m in charge of riding. You’re in charge of telling me about your family.”
“Okay.”
The wheels rolled over the stone-paved road, making a rhythmic “clatter.” Qin Liang’s chin was almost touching the top of Tang Yunle’s head. The faint scent of lemon from her hair lingered at the tip of his nose, and his heart couldn’t help but beat a little faster.
“On the left is the greenhouse,” he composed himself, his gaze sweeping over the rows of greenhouses. “As long as you want, you can eat vegetables all year round. In the original world, our family only had a few, but in this world, there are a lot more.”
“So the vegetables we eat are grown in your house now?” Tang Yunle asked casually.
“The servants usually eat these. We’ll occasionally eat some other vegetables for a change. Most of our food is flown in. In the original world, my family had a procurement point near Kyoto. I’m not too clear about the specific situation in this world.”
“As expected of a Celestial Dragon…”
Tang Yunle muttered to herself, her feet not stopping as the bicycle slid down a gentle slope.
Ahead, a sparkling body of water suddenly appeared.
“This is the koi pond. There are dozens of koi in it. The biggest one is said to be ten years old,” Qin Liang explained. “When I was young, I was always sick, so my mom said she would use this to pray for me and drive away the bad luck. To put it bluntly, it’s just for good luck.”
“Over there is the badminton court. I quite like playing badminton…”
“Over there is my mom’s flower room. There are roses, tulips, and carnations…”
Along the way, Qin Liang explained, while also talking about the differences between the two worlds.
Unconsciously, the bicycle came to the top of a large downhill slope. The young man subconsciously tightened his arms and hugged Tang Yunle’s waist, feeling the strength in her waist.
A faint blush appeared on someone’s face.
“Ahem, watch carefully. My riding skills are smooth and steady!” Tang Yunle said smugly, and with a flash and a stomp of her pedals, the bicycle shot forward.
The wind “whooshed” into their collars, and a stream of air with the fresh scent of grass and trees slapped Qin Liang’s cheeks, making them numb.
He subconsciously tightened his arms even more, his knuckles almost embedded in the fabric of Tang Yunle’s waist. His forehead was pressed against her warm back, and he could clearly feel the rise and fall of her breath under her shirt, as well as the gentle undulation of her back with the pedaling motion.
“Scared?” Tang Yunle’s laughter drifted over on the wind, with a hint of a triumphant tremor. “This is what I call exciting!”
Just as her words fell, the bicycle suddenly rolled over a small bump, and the two of them simultaneously landed heavily on their knees again. Qin Liang’s arms instantly became a dead knot.
Tang Yunle let out a muffled laugh and continued to pedal hard.
Perhaps only at a time like this could she temporarily forget the insurmountable class gap between the two of them.
One was a pampered “Celestial Dragon,” and the other was an ordinary commoner.
The question Qin Liang had once teased her with—”Tang Yunle, you haven’t fallen for me, have you?”
Now, Tang Yunle had a vague answer in her heart.
She hadn’t fallen for Qin Liang, but she didn’t know when, but she seemed to have become a little inseparable from him.
It could be the close friendship of fellow countrymen in a strange land. It could also be the family-like affection that had developed after he had taken care of her many times. And it could also be some indescribable, hazy, and strange feeling.
In short, she really wanted to stay by Qin Liang’s side and always be with him.
