Adèle placed a plate of pancakes drizzled with maple syrup in front of Lia, her face etched with worry.
“Lia, is it really going to be alright? I heard Master Grey say that if that machine goes out of control, half the kingdom will be blown to the heavens.”
Lia speared a piece of pancake and slowly put it into her mouth.
“Don’t worry. With Klein here, even if it loses control, he’ll only let it explode in the sky.”
Sitting opposite her, Klein raised an eyelid upon hearing this.
“I would much prefer not to let it go out of control at all.”
Just as he spoke, the butler came to announce that King Augustus’s royal carriage had arrived outside the mage tower.
Accompanying him were President Samuel, Archmage Horace, Master Laplace, and Lady Elena.
Almost the entire peak of power and wisdom in the Kingdom of Violet had arrived in person.
Klein put down his teacup and stood up.
“Let’s go. The guests have arrived.”

On the bottom floor of the mage tower, the massive circular accelerator lay quietly, covered in complex runes like a sleeping steel beast.
The entire laboratory was separated by a shimmering magical barrier.
King Augustus and his party stood outside the barrier, curiously studying the creation before them.
“Master Klein, is this the particle accelerator designed by Professor Lia?”
Light flickered in King Augustus’s eyes; he was more concerned with what practical benefits this device could bring.
“Your Majesty, to be precise, it is something we completed together,” Klein corrected in a flat tone.
Horace, on the other hand, was completely captivated by the accelerator itself.
His gaze swept over every rune node, sensing the profound theories contained within.
“Incredible… truly an incredible creation. It will open an unprecedented door for us.”
President Samuel stroked his beard, his expression somewhat nervous.
“Klein, the safety measures for this thing… are you sure they are foolproof?”
“President, my presence here is the most reliable safety measure.”
Klein’s response was simple and direct, yet carried an unquestionable confidence.
Lia did not join their conversation; she walked to the main control console.
A massive crystal screen hovered in the air, filled with complex data streams.
She took a deep breath and began the final checks.
“System self-check complete, status normal.”
“Energy circuits connected and stable, tower core mana source output at one hundred percent.”
“Vacuum chamber pressure meets the standard.”
Lia turned her head to look at Klein and gave him a nod.
Klein understood. He raised a single hand, and a vast amount of mana surged out instantly, precisely injected into the accelerator’s energy supply core.
The air in the entire laboratory began to hum. One by one, the runes on the circular accelerator lit up, emitting a ghostly blue glow that flowed rapidly along the circuits.
“Injecting particle source.”
Lia’s voice was crisp and calm.
A tiny, invisible stream of particles was injected into the circular orbit.
“Level one acceleration, initiate.”

The sound emitted by the accelerator suddenly pitched higher, and the blue light within the ring became even more brilliant.
On the crystal screen of the console, the values representing the particle velocity began to climb rapidly.
The people outside the barrier held their breath. King Augustus stared intently at President Samuel, his palms already drenched in sweat.
Only Horace’s eyes held pure intellectual curiosity and fanaticism.
“Level two acceleration.”
“Level three acceleration.”
Lia’s commands were issued in succession, each accompanied by an increase in the accelerator’s roar.
The light within the ring was now so dazzling it could not be looked at directly, and the entire space was filled with highly condensed energy fluctuations.
“Energy output stable.”
Klein’s voice rang in Lia’s ear, and she nodded.
His presence provided her with a solid foundation.
Lia’s gaze was locked onto the screen, where the values were approaching a critical threshold.
Ten percent of the speed of light… twenty percent…
“Velocity has reached thirty percent of the speed of light. Orbit is stable.”
Lia’s voice rose slightly. “Prepare for target material collision. Countdown: three seconds.”
“Three.”
“Two.”
“One.”
“Collision!”
The moment the command was given, a node within the ring suddenly erupted with a piercing white light.
The light flashed and vanished instantly, and the roar of the accelerator weakened, slowly returning to silence.
Everything was over.
The laboratory fell into a dead quiet.
Master Grey’s legs went weak, and he slumped directly to the floor, gasping for breath.
King Augustus asked urgently, “Was it a success? What are the results?”
Everyone’s gaze converged on the massive crystal screen in front of Lia.
On the screen, the originally smooth data stream had vanished, replaced by an extremely complex pattern.
Countless tiny, curved tracks erupted from a central point, forming a magnificent rain of particles.
Among them were several tracks they had never seen before—they deflected and decayed at bizarre angles.
“This… what is this?” Master Laplace muttered to himself.
Lia looked at the pattern on the screen, and the corners of her mouth slowly curved upward.
“These are the puzzle pieces of a new world. With massive energy, we have struck open the deepest secrets of matter and seen its most fundamental components.”
Archmage Horace walked toward the magical barrier step by step.
His palm pressed against the barrier, his clouded eyes reflecting the star-chart of particle tracks.
His body trembled slightly with excitement.
“I see it… I see a brand-new world.”
He turned around to face everyone present, his voice solemn and resonant, echoing throughout the laboratory.
“From this day forth, we are no longer merely passive observers of the world.”
“We hold the key to creating new substances and exploring the origin of the world.”
“A new era has begun.”
Horace’s words were powerful and resonant, shaking the hearts of everyone present.
An unprecedented brilliance erupted in King Augustus’s eyes; he seemed to see the birth of countless new materials and powerful weapons.
President Samuel also wore a gratified smile.
Amidst the cheers of the crowd, Klein walked to Lia’s side and asked in a low voice:
“Is this what you wanted?”
“This is just the beginning.”
Lia’s gaze remained on that star-chart, her eyes shining with infinite longing for the future.

However, none of them knew.
At the very moment the particle collision occurred.
In an unknown corner of the continent, deep within a temple built of massive black stones where no light ever reached.
Time here seemed frozen, and the space was filled with deathly silence and void.
On the altar in the center of the temple, a figure completely shrouded in a gray robe knelt there, motionless as a stone statue.
Suddenly, the figure jolted violently.
Beneath the hood, a pair of closed eyes snapped open.
They were eyes without pupils, containing only pure darkness.
A voice, neither male nor female, unlike any sound a human could make, echoed in the empty, silent temple.
“The Lord… has delivered a new message…”
“The Kingdom of Violet… those tiny bugs…”
“…Have disturbed the Lord’s slumber.”
