Chapter 96: Justice Served

The crowd erupted. Phones went up, cameras flashing. If not for the thugs blocking the door, the fans would have stormed in.

Tian Lanxing didn’t care. She pulled out her phone and sent a text. Someone would be here soon to clean up the mess.

Then she walked up to Qin Xuzhi.

“You said you’d make someone disappear in Linhai City?”

Qin Xuzhi shook her head frantically, tears and snot all over her face. She looked nothing like a rich heiress now.

“I’m sorry, I was wrong. I’m truly sorry.” She crawled on the ground, trembling, trying to grab Tian Lanxing’s skirt. “Lady Tian Lanxing, I was blind! Please, be magnanimous and spare me this once!”

But before her hand could touch the hem, star force pinned her to the floor.

Tian Lanxing’s eyes were cold.

“Spare you?”

If she had been a step too late, Chu Yuyao would have been swallowed by the river. Thinking of the girl’s desperate tears, the chill in Tian Lanxing’s eyes froze into ice.

“When you trampled on someone else’s dreams and life, did you ever think to spare her?”

Tian Lanxing snapped her fingers.

“Ahhhhh!” Qin Xuzhi let out a horrifying scream.

With the star force at Tian Lanxing’s fingertip, gravity crushed Qin Xuzhi’s wrists and right knee.

Complete, irreparable damage. It meant she would never stand on a stage again, and even basic living would be a luxury.

Seeing Qin Xuzhi writhing in pain, Tian Lanxing showed no mercy.

If not for the crowd of ordinary people watching, and the fear of a magical girl killing someone in public, the crushing wouldn’t have stopped at just limbs.

“Take your arrogance and repent in a wheelchair for the rest of your life.”

Tian Lanxing looked away, turning to the confused crowd at the door.

“Everyone. Regarding the plagiarism scandal that’s been all over the internet these past few days, it was all the doing of this woman on the ground. She did it to eliminate a rival and steal the championship.”

The crowd outside fell silent.

Tian Lanxing continued, “She not only had someone register the copyright first, but also hired paid trolls to sway public opinion. Just now, in that room, she confessed to everything. For the full story, you can watch Intel Ji’s earlier livestream replay.”

“Because of Qin Xuzhi, Chu Yuyao was cyberbullied, even driven to thoughts of suicide. If I hadn’t stopped her in time, a young life would have been lost.”

A single stone stirred a thousand ripples. Even those who thought Tian Lanxing had gone too far now joined the angry condemnation.

“Holy crap! That’s disgusting!”

“I knew Sister Chu was too innocent to plagiarize. It was this venomous woman framing her!”

“The thief crying ‘stop thief’! She needs to be kicked out of the entertainment industry!”

“Poor Sister Chu. She almost had her life ruined.”

“And I used to think Qin Xuzhi had a good voice. Turns out she’s a snake-hearted b*tch! Ptooey!”

Listening to the curses outside, Qin Xuzhi knew she was finished. Her career was over, and even Prosperous Entertainment would face disaster for offending Tian Lanxing.

Damn it! All because of that b*tch Chu Yuyao!

“Apologize.”

Tian Lanxing’s icy voice came from above.

Qin Xuzhi, enduring the pain, crawled to Chu Yuyao. She had no dignity left. All she wanted was to survive.

“I’m sorry, Yuyao. I was jealous. I didn’t like you. I was possessed to frame you!” Qin Xuzhi wailed. “Please forgive me. Hit me, scold me, anything. Just put in a good word with Lady Tian Lanxing and spare me. I won’t dare do it again!”

Chu Yuyao looked at her coldly, saying nothing.

Some wounds couldn’t be erased by an apology.

Just then, another group of people appeared at the end of the corridor.

“Make way! Official business! Everyone step back!”

A squad of fully armed operatives pushed through the crowd and rushed into the corridor. They sealed the scene in an instant, setting up barriers.

The team leader hurried into the practice room. When he saw Tian Lanxing, he snapped to attention and saluted.

“Lady Tian Lanxing! GSA Linhai Branch, Third Action Group leader, reporting for cleanup duty! Please give your orders!” His voice was loud, his eyes full of reverence.

Tian Lanxing nodded slightly, pointing at the thugs and Qin Xuzhi.

“Take these people away. Let the law decide their fate. Anyone who protects them is my enemy.”

“Yes, ma’am! Mission accomplished!” the leader replied.

Tian Lanxing paused, her gaze sweeping over the crowd still holding up phones.

“Also.” Her tone turned stern. “Everyone here, including those who saw me transform, will have their phones confiscated and inspected. Sign the highest-level confidentiality agreement. I don’t want a single word about my transformation here appearing online.”

Tian Lanxing narrowed her eyes, an invisible pressure spreading.

“Anyone who leaks a single word will be charged with endangering public security. Understood?”

“Understood! Rest assured, ma’am! Not even a fly will get out!”

The leader waved his hand, and GSA members began collecting phones and signing agreements. The crowd grumbled, but under the guns of GSA, no one dared defy orders.

In truth, even if they had video or photos, the law prevented them from posting online. At most, they could keep them for personal viewing.

As for Qin Xuzhi, she would face the harshest legal penalties.

Finally, the noisy practice room fell quiet.

Tian Lanxing walked up to Chu Yuyao, her gaze softening.

Her beautiful face was inches away. Chu Yuyao’s voice trembled.

“Lady Tian Lanxing…”

But Tian Lanxing transformed into Hua Mu’ai on the spot.

“Still calling me ‘Lady’?” Hua Mu’ai raised an eyebrow. “I exposed my identity for you, you know. You think this form is easy to maintain?”

Chu Yuyao’s tears turned to laughter.

She knew that no matter the appearance, Mu’ai was still Mu’ai.

“Mu’ai…”

Hua Mu’ai nodded, satisfied.

“Alright, stop crying. If your eyes swell up like walnuts, how will you face the audience on stage?” Hua Mu’ai said gently. “Go wash your face, change clothes. Throw all that messy emotion in the trash.”

She pointed out the window toward the main stage.

“The stage is still waiting for you tonight. Go show everyone that Chu Yuyao isn’t a thief, but a true genius.”

Chu Yuyao nodded firmly, not a trace of shadow in her eyes.

“Mm!”

She wiped her tears and ran off toward the dressing room.

Watching Chu Yuyao’s reinvigorated back, Hua Mu’ai let out a long breath.

She’d managed to pull the girl back on track.

But…

Hua Mu’ai turned to look at Intel Ji, still trembling in the corner.

This was the one she’d deliberately kept behind.

Sensing her idol’s gaze, Intel Ji panicked and burst out, “Lady Tian Lanxing! I didn’t mean to laugh at you for being unlucky! Please forgive me!”

Hua Mu’ai rolled her eyes.

What weird stuff was going on in that head?

“I wasn’t mad. In fact, thanks to your livestream today. But what happened after you turned it off…” Hua Mu’ai leaned close to Intel Ji’s ear. “You absolutely can’t tell the audience, okay?”

Intel Ji nodded frantically.

“I understand! I’ll pretend I know nothing! I’m blind today!”

Hua Mu’ai chuckled and took Intel Ji’s hand.

“Come on, let’s go watch the competition from the front.”

Intel Ji’s face turned bright red.

Oh my! Lady Tian Lanxing actually touched my hand!
