This was a Feng Shui shop.
You see plenty of Feng Shui shops on the streets, but one inside a commercial center was a rare sight, and it even seemed to have a few customers.
However, there was a sign posted on the door: This shop will be relocating to No. 86, Zhongzheng Road. We apologize for any inconvenience.
A thought crossed my mind.
I had just said I would compensate Xiao Qing with a Dharma artifact, and here we were, right in front of a Feng Shui shop.
So, I might as well go in and buy one for her.
Thus, I asked Xiao Qing, “Shall we go in and take a look?”
“Brother Xiao is starting to get interested in Feng Shui too? Alright, let’s go have a look,” Ou Zhiqin said.
She had always liked browsing Feng Shui shops; the few Dharma artifacts her family owned were all bought from them, so she was more than happy to go inside.
The two of us stepped into the resplendent Feng Shui shop.
The interior decor could indeed be described as magnificent.
The pillars and tiles were all golden, with carved dragons coiling around the pillars.
The ceiling was a simulated starry sky.
The moment I stepped into the Feng Shui shop, it felt as though I had passed through a solid layer of aura.
As soon as I entered the main door, the faint sounds of crying and cursing that had been in my ears vanished.
I felt a sense of tranquility.
In my eyes, the Feng Shui shop was filled with a large amount of aura, but it wasn’t the wealth aura flowing through the commercial center.
It was a purer spiritual aura, similar to that of the Dharma artifacts on our bodies.
Of course, the shelves of the Feng Shui shop were also lined with rows of Dharma artifacts, all exquisitely crafted.
There were personal accessories like gourds, bronze plaques, and prayer beads, as well as larger decorative items like golden toads, wooden carvings, and rockeries.
The spiritual light from these personal accessories was similar to that of Xiao Qing’s jade ruyi, while the light from the decorative items was brighter and more distinct, comparable to my jade pendant.
However, my jade pendant was smaller than almost any Dharma artifact here.
“This Feng Shui shop… it feels like there’s a grand Feng Shui formation inside. It’s so comfortable,” I remarked.
After entering the shop, I couldn’t even see the ominous aura anymore.
“Eh? Brother Xiao, are you saying there’s a grand Feng Shui formation in this shop too?” Ou Zhiqin asked in surprise.
She wasn’t surprised that a Feng Shui shop would have a formation—after all, it was their line of business—but she was a little taken aback that Luo Xiao could see it.
“I think so. The aura here is completely different from outside, and the atmosphere is much better. The grand Feng Shui formation should be… related to the stars on the ceiling?” I looked up at the simulated starry sky on the ceiling.
The spiritual aura was descending from the heavens, and among them, seven stars were particularly bright.
“Ah? Is that the Big Dipper?” Ou Zhiqin looked up and recognized the constellation depicted in the star chart.
Even though I had never formally studied astronomy or Feng Shui, I had heard of the famous Big Dipper.
Upon closer inspection, the seven stars that were particularly bright in my eyes did indeed form the shape of a ladle.
“Hmm? It seems two knowledgeable guests have come to my shop. To think there’s a young lady who understands Feng Shui at such a young age,” a middle-aged man in a Tang suit, about fifty-something years old, walked over.
He had clearly overheard our conversation.
“Ah? No, actually we don’t understand Feng Shui. Sorry for showing off our amateur skills,” I said with a dry laugh.
I didn’t know the first thing about Feng Shui.
If he wanted to pull me into a discussion, I’d be in a really awkward spot.
“Yes, we’re just casually looking around,” Ou Zhiqin also said with a dry laugh.
She had some interest in the supernatural, but her knowledge of the profound and complex field of Feng Shui was only superficial, not something she could discuss seriously.
“Besides, little sister, you’re being too modest. You were able to see the source and meaning of my Feng Shui arrangement, yet you still say you don’t understand Feng Shui. You’re too humble. Of course, this is just a small Feng Shui arrangement, it can’t be considered a grand Feng Shui formation at all,” the middle-aged man said with a smile.
Based on his words, he must be the shop owner.
‘Little sister’ sounded a bit jarring, but in my current form as Xia Yubing, a man in his fifties would naturally see me as a little sister.
I couldn’t very well say that I saw it by observing the aura, so I just asked, “What’s the difference between a Feng Shui arrangement and a grand Feng Shui formation?”
“Hmm?” The shop owner frowned at me.
Anyone with even a little knowledge of Feng Shui would know the connection between a Feng Shui arrangement and a grand Feng Shui formation.
Could it be that she really didn’t know?
But a customer had asked, so he had to answer, “It’s mainly a difference in scale. A grand Feng Shui formation refers to a massive formation that covers a very large area. The largest can cover an entire city, protecting all its inhabitants. As far as I know, the capital city has a true grand Feng Shui formation.”
“Then there are Feng Shui formations, which can cover a mall, a mine, or a company. That scale can be called a Feng Shui formation. As for a Feng Shui arrangement, it can only protect a single residence or a single shop.”
A true grand Feng Shui formation can cover an entire city?
Does that mean the people in that city don’t have to worry about seeing ghosts?
The big shots in the capital are truly on another level.
I’m so envious.
And so, the one set up in this commercial center wasn’t a true grand Feng Shui formation, but just a Feng Shui formation.
I was only now roughly understanding the difference.
I looked up at the simulated starry sky and suddenly noticed that the head of the Big Dipper’s ladle was pointing towards the center of the mall.
There was a faint, thin line on it that was almost invisible if you didn’t look closely.
Observing more carefully, that thin line seemed to be a stream of wealth aura from the mall, drawn over by the Big Dipper.
After being purified by the stars, it transformed into pure spiritual aura that sprinkled down into the Feng Shui shop.
The feeling was similar to when I was absorbing the mall’s wealth aura earlier.
“Sir, is your Feng Shui arrangement related to the commercial center’s Feng Shui formation?” I asked curiously.
A strange look flashed across the owner’s face as he asked, “Little sister, how did you figure that out?”
Xiao Qing also looked at me in surprise.
Since the owner asked that, it meant what I saw was true.
I could only bite the bullet and point at the starry sky, saying, “The direction the Big Dipper is pointing is connected to the wealth aura outside.”
Xiao Qing followed my finger and quickly noticed the direction the Big Dipper was pointing.
She muttered to herself, “It’s pointing to the central courtyard of the mall… is that the position of the North Star?”
“Impressive! Although many guests who understand Feng Shui have come to the shop before and have seen this Big Dipper Feng Shui arrangement, very few have discovered the connection between the arrangement and the mall’s formation. And none have seen it so quickly. For you two little sisters to see this, and still humbly claim to not understand Feng Shui?” the owner praised.
Xiao Qing and I could only exchange wry smiles.
I knew nothing about Feng Shui, only how to observe auras.
Xiao Qing couldn’t see auras, and her knowledge of Feng Shui was only skin-deep.
But once I pointed out the essence of it, Xiao Qing understood immediately and unexpectedly guessed the nature of his Feng Shui arrangement.
We were like two cobblers who, together, outsmarted a Zhuge Liang.
“It was just a fluke. We’re here to buy a Dharma artifact,” I quickly changed the subject.
If we continued, he would really start talking to me about Feng Shui.
