The impact of Liu Xingluo’s naked apron had been so profound that even after Liu Ruyan arrived at work, she still hadn’t quite recovered her composure.
“What’s wrong, Ruyan? You seem so distracted. Did something happen?”
Seeing her dazed expression, a colleague who also worked as a model grew concerned about her state of mind and approached her, eager to discover what could have so rattled her. After all, they had worked alongside Liu Ruyan for several years and had never witnessed her in such a state.
“It’s nothing. Just that my younger brother, after turning into a girl, made me breakfast this morning wearing nothing but an apron, and the impact was simply too much.”
“What???”
Upon hearing Liu Ruyan’s words, every colleague present was utterly stunned; one, in fact, was so taken aback that they couldn’t help but spray the coffee they had just been drinking.
Liu Ruyan had spoken in Chinese, and they understood every single word, yet when those words formed a sentence, its meaning became utterly incomprehensible. Could the Chinese language even be arranged in such a bizarre fashion?
“Just kidding, you know. My younger brother was hospitalized, and I spent the whole night with him yesterday, so I’m just a little sleep-deprived.”
Realizing that the morning’s events were far too outlandish for her colleagues to readily comprehend or believe, Liu Ruyan quickly changed her tune, dismissing it as a mere joke.
“Oh, it was just a joke? You scared me to death! We were all just wondering what on earth you were talking about. But if you haven’t rested well, why don’t you go take a break in the lounge?”
Concerned that Liu Ruyan’s current state might hinder her performance in the upcoming tasks, her colleagues offered their suggestions.
“I’m fine, no need to worry about me. While I did get a little less sleep than usual, it won’t affect my work. Thank you all.”
After all, she wasn’t truly unwell; the lounge should be reserved for those who genuinely needed the rest.
What truly concerned Liu Ruyan now was Liu Xingluo, alone at home, and the thought of what kind of mischief he might stir up on his own. She couldn’t shake the feeling that in his girl form, he was even more mischievous than his usual self, to the point where she felt like he was an entirely different person.
Still, worrying wouldn’t help. She resolved to pull herself together and focus on her work.

Meanwhile, Liu Xingluo lay in bed, reflecting on his actions from that morning.
‘Did I go a bit too far this morning? Maybe I should apologize and admit my mistake when Big Sister gets back.’
Recalling Big Sister’s expression when she saw him in the naked apron that morning, Liu Xingluo felt a pang of guilt. He had only intended to make her breakfast to lighten her burden, but then, while preparing to tie the apron, he had a sudden, whimsical thought: [‘Why not try a naked apron? It’s a rare chance to be a girl, I can’t waste this experience!’] Consequently, he donned the apron, giving his sister quite a fright. It was a classic case of good intentions leading to bad outcomes.
Yet, on second thought, witnessing Big Sister’s startled expression had certainly been worth it, he mused.
Following Big Sister’s instructions, he was supposed to stay home and rest today, recovering his strength as quickly as possible.
After a full day and night of rest, Liu Xingluo could now move his body, even after reverting to his original form. However, this was merely light movement; his stamina was still insufficient for strenuous activities, meaning he needed to continue resting in bed.
Yet, for Liu Xingluo to simply lie obediently in bed and rest was agonizingly difficult. Since he couldn’t sleep, he decided to find something more interesting to do.
On a normal day, nothing was more interesting to Liu Xingluo than playing games. After all, how many boys disliked gaming? He used to be able to play for over ten hours straight, though any longer and Big Sister would forbid it.
However, Liu Xingluo now had something even more interesting to do than play games.
That was to properly dress up his girl self. With such a rare opportunity to freely use a girl’s body, how could he not let loose and have some fun, perhaps even appreciating his own charm as a girl?
However, Liu Xingluo didn’t own any girl’s clothes. Even if he could freely switch genders, he was still a boy; how could he possibly have girl’s clothes? Thus, he set his sights on Big Sister’s wardrobe.
Although there was some difference between Big Sister’s figure and his own in girl form, it wasn’t significant, as she was a professional model who meticulously maintained her physique. Moreover, Big Sister had plenty of clothes, and she was still at work, not due back until evening.
This meant Liu Xingluo had ample time to use Big Sister’s entire closet full of clothes to dress himself up.
[‘Stop it, Ah Zu (TL Note: A playful, often self-deprecating, internet meme from a Hong Kong movie, used to warn oneself against doing something foolish or risky), if Big Sister finds out, she’ll kill you with her ultimate Twin Slipper Style technique.’]
Reason warned Liu Xingluo of the potential consequences of such an act. However, at the thought of dressing up in Big Sister’s clothes and showcasing his different charms, Liu Xingluo decisively ignored reason’s warnings and advanced toward Big Sister’s room.
“Huh? The door’s locked?”
Whether Liu Ruyan had grown concerned by Liu Xingluo’s antics in his girl form, or if she simply had a habit of locking her door every day, remained unclear. Regardless, the locked door barred Liu Xingluo’s entry.
While forcibly breaking the lock was no difficult task for Liu Xingluo—after all, in his girl form, he possessed the power to beat 异生兽 (TL Note: A type of monster or alien creature, often seen in fantasy or sci-fi settings) to death, making breaking a mere door an effortless feat for her—doing so would incur repair costs, which was one concern. More importantly, Big Sister would undoubtedly be furious if she discovered it upon her return.
Left with no other option, he had no choice but to give up. He might as well go back to playing games.
“Hmm?”
Upon returning to his own room, an item caught Liu Xingluo’s attention.
It was a girl’s high school uniform, laid out on his bed. Not only the uniform itself, but also safety shorts, over-the-knee socks, and even shoes were neatly prepared and placed beside it.
It was almost as if someone knew exactly what he was about to do and had prepared these items for him in advance.
Yet, if his memory served him correctly, these items shouldn’t have been on his bed before he left the room; in fact, they shouldn’t even have been in his room at all.
And he was supposed to be the only one home. Could a thief have broken in? No, that didn’t make sense; what kind of thief would leave a girl’s school uniform for someone?
Regardless of who had brought them or why, Liu Xingluo searched the entire house. He checked every possible hiding spot, but without exception, he found nothing.
This was truly strange. If no one was there, how had this uniform appeared on his bed? Who had done this, and by what means?
It was utterly baffling.
Forget it, he wouldn’t worry about it for now. Since the clothes had already been delivered, it would be a waste to just leave them. He might as well try them on.
Besides, he was quite curious to see what he would look like in a girl’s uniform.
