Indeed, this marks the afterword for Volume One.
First and foremost, I must extend my sincerest apologies to all the readers who have journeyed with me to this point. The narrative surrounding Liu Xingluo’s induction into the organization was, regrettably, quite subpar, a direct consequence of a spur-of-the-moment decision on my part. For this, I am truly sorry!
My initial vision for Liu Xingluo had her joining the organization much later. She was meant to suffer her first defeat in a battle against her sixth sister, Jidi, during Volume Two, only to be rescued by the male lead. Through him, she would then come to know other members of the organization and share crucial intelligence. Ultimately, fortified by the organization’s support and the power bestowed by her mother, she would triumph over Jidi, recognize her inherent responsibilities, and only then resolve to join the organization to confront her remaining sisters.
Regarding the mother figure introduced in Chapter 58, her debut was similarly premature. Frankly, as the author, I found myself at a loss for what to pen next, and thus decided to advance her appearance. Rest assured, however, her true identity and the intricate web of her relationships with the protagonist and the various princesses will gradually unfurl as the narrative progresses.
And concerning the cult leader—is her resemblance to the protagonist merely a coincidence, or does it hint at a far more profound existence? I urge you all to anticipate the revelations to come.
Until we meet again in the afterword for Volume Two~
