Now that Liu Xingluo knew Jidi’s ultimate move was time stop, she had to inform the others.

But in her current state—like Kakyoin punched through by Dio—her consciousness was fading from severe injuries. She couldn’t even speak, let alone pass on this crucial information. She could only hope the other superhumans would figure it out themselves.

After all, if someone as dull-witted as her could see it, those seasoned fighters should be able to as well.

“We have to find a way out. While that evolved beast hasn’t noticed us yet.”

Since fighting was impossible, they had to flee. Though transparent walls limited their movement within the domain, a careful search might reveal an exit.

Doing so might attract Jidi’s attention and bring death. But if they did nothing, would Jidi spare them?

To avoid drawing Jidi’s attention, they moved cautiously, groping around for an exit.

In Jidi’s domain, there was supposed to be no such thing as an exit. Unless an external force stronger than the domain interfered, creating an opening around the flawless barrier.

“Found it. This might lead out.”

After some groping, one found a potential exit. Though uncertain, with time ticking away, they had no chance to keep searching. Since it might be an exit, they went in.

Without hesitation, the superhumans entered the invisible exit.

“This is… outside. We made it.”

After walking through a strangely textured passage, they emerged onto the frozen streets. But it was unmistakably the streets humans once inhabited.

“Don’t linger. We need to retreat as that superhuman said. If that evolved beast comes out, we’re all done for.”

Their power still hadn’t recovered; fighting Jidi would be a one-sided massacre. They had to leave quickly. Liu Xingluo might still be inside, and abandoning her felt wrong. But fighting in the domain only drained them further. Going back would be suicide. They had to give up on her for now.

Yet they wouldn’t let Liu Xingluo sacrifice in vain. One day, they would join other stronger superhumans to kill Jidi and avenge her.

While Jidi was still searching the domain for Liu Xingluo, they retreated together.

As they fled, a green-haired woman lowered her hand, watching their backs.

She had just helped by opening an exit in Jidi’s domain, allowing them to escape.

But she had only helped the superhumans. As for Liu Xingluo, who was supposed to be killed, she had been saved by another observer—the mother didn’t need to help her.

“So it’s come to this, dear? How could you be so heartless, even to our own child?”
