She had worried that traveling via jumps—such a conspicuous method—might attract the Sixth Princess’s attention and lead to a chase. Fortunately, her fears didn’t materialize, and they arrived at their destination without incident.

Seeing that familiar face, Liu Xingluo immediately recognized him.
“Huh? You know me? You sound like you’re pretty familiar with me. Have we met before?”
He had absolutely no memory of this superhuman. After all, someone as beautiful as her—Shen Yunfei was sure he wouldn’t forget if he’d really seen her. But she not only knew his name but also that he usually spent his days in the hospital with his sister. That wasn’t something someone who’d only met him once would know.

Despite still being curious about the superhuman’s true identity, Shen Yunfei didn’t dawdle. He turned and used his ID card to open the base entrance.
“Sorry to keep you waiting, Your Highness.”
Just as Shen Yunfei opened the door, Lain arrived with the injured soldier.

Following Shen Yunfei, Liu Xingluo and the others entered the base.
After briefly explaining the situation to the other colleagues on duty and handing over the injured soldier to be taken to the infirmary, Shen Yunfei led Liu Xingluo to the locker room. Before going out, they stored their personal belongings—including phones—in lockers.

Taking the phone, Liu Xingluo dialed the number she knew by heart. To her surprise, Shen Yunfei’s phone actually had Liu Ruyan’s contact info. When had he added her sister? She knew she and her sister owed him a favor, but that didn’t warrant exchanging contact details, did it?
“Hello? What’s wrong? Shen—”
“Sis, it’s me. How are you? Are you hurt? Is where you are safe?”
As soon as the call connected and she heard that familiar voice, before her sister could finish speaking, Liu Xingluo eagerly fired off a string of questions about her safety.
“Ah, it’s Xiao Luo. Don’t worry. Your big sis is in the underground shelter now. It’s pretty safe here. But it’s a bit cold, oddly enough. It’s summer, after all. I wonder if the shelter’s air conditioning is just too effective.”
It was normal to feel cold, because the Sixth Princess Jidi was still above ground, expanding her territory in search of Liu Xingluo. Even an underground shelter couldn’t completely block out the chill from the surface.
“I see. That’s good. That’s good. I was worried you might have been frozen into an ice cube. I’m so glad you’re okay.”
Regardless, knowing Liu Ruyan was safe for now put Liu Xingluo at ease. It seemed Jidi’s cold couldn’t reach the underground shelter.
“What about you, Xiao Luo? How are things on your end? Since you have time to call me, does that mean it’s settled?”
Liu Ruyan was more worried about Liu Xingluo than herself. She only needed to hide in the shelter, but Liu Xingluo had to fight Evolved Beasts—a much more dangerous task. Especially since Liu Xingluo lacked experience fighting them; she could easily end up in a ‘defeat CG’ scenario.
“I’m fine, of course. But I didn’t settle things. That princess is beyond my ability to handle. She can stop time. No matter how I think about it, I can’t win.”
Even without using time freeze, Jidi could easily beat Liu Xingluo to the ground. She wasn’t making excuses for her failure, but she felt she might have had some chance if Jidi didn’t use time stop. But against time freeze, she couldn’t move at all, leaving her with no hope of victory.
She wasn’t like some invincible Hyper player or some unbeatable ocean doctor who could move in frozen time.
She was completely helpless against that opponent.
