Chapter 76: Faint Shutter, Lingering Omega

Regaining my senses belatedly, I quickly clamped a hand over my mouth. While I knew Jung Hee-soo, he certainly wouldn’t know me. If he realized I knew his name without ever being told, he might look at me with suspicion.

Fortunately, my fears seemed unfounded. Jung Hee-soo apparently hadn’t heard my voice, which had been barely a whisper. He was still genuinely worried about me, a stranger he had just met today.

“Shouldn’t you go to the hospital?”

“No, I’m fine.”

“But—”

“I should get going now.”

I sprang to my feet, intending to leave the cafe. I had to depart before he, who had gone to the restroom, returned.

However, my haste proved my undoing. I hadn’t taken more than a few steps before my legs tangled beneath me, and my body lurched precariously.

I barely managed to brace myself against a table, narrowly averting a major mishap. ‘Hah,’ I gasped, releasing the breath I’d been holding, and tried to move forward again when, *thump*, my head collided with something solid.

“Yoo Seo-jin, is something wrong?”

Oh, no. Han Jung-woo had already returned. Seeing my distorted expression, he seemed to assume something had happened, shielding me behind him as he confronted Jung Hee-soo.

“Would you kindly explain what’s going on?”

“No, I just…”

Jung Hee-soo, having tried to help only to be abruptly misunderstood, was so flustered by the injustice that he couldn’t even properly string words together. Frustrated, he pounded his chest and glared directly at Han Jung-woo before speaking.

“Excuse me, I was just trying to help. That person suddenly looked ill, so—”

“Yoo Seo-jin, were you in pain?”

Han Jung-woo, having cut off Jung Hee-soo’s words, turned back to me. He meticulously scrutinized my complexion, then declared we would see the movie another time and made to leave the cafe.

“Hey! At least listen to what people are saying—”

Jung Hee-soo tried to grab Han Jung-woo, but he ruthlessly swatted away the approaching hand. Then, Han Jung-woo unleashed a torrent of warning pheromones without restraint. They were as cold and sharp as a winter wind.

“Han Jung-woo…”

I quickly tried to calm Han Jung-woo down. I had to stop him before not only Jung Hee-soo but all the other secondary genders in the cafe reacted to his pheromones.

Han Jung-woo, who had been watching Jung Hee-soo slowly crumble without emotion, only withdrew his pheromones after hearing my dissuasion. ‘Hah,’ he exhaled a deep breath, turning back to me.

“Let’s go home.”

“The movie—”

“We can see it another time.”

His tone, colder than usual, left me speechless. I tried to glance back at the receding cafe, but his firm grip on my shoulder prevented me from even turning my head.

As we returned to the parking lot and I was about to get into the car, I heard a faint shutter click from somewhere. Startled, I shivered, and he, noticing my reaction, asked what was wrong.

“A shutter sound—”

“A shutter?”

Hearing my words, he quickly scanned our surroundings but seemed to find nothing suspicious. I clutched at his lapel, trembling uncontrollably.

I had definitely heard it, yet there was no physical source anywhere. Was I experiencing auditory hallucinations? I had thought I was finally getting better, no longer Yoo Joon-hee.

“There’s nothing there.”

He tried to soothe my anxiety. Only after inhaling the calming scent that now diffused around us, unlike the harsh one before, did my trembling subside.

Opening the car door, he helped me into the passenger seat first, then gently wiped away the tears welling in my eyes.

Blocking the view so that prying eyes couldn’t reach, he bent deeply at the waist and successively pressed kisses to my forehead, then to my eyelids, which were flushed and warm.

“Yoo Seo-jin, look at me.”

I lifted my wavering gaze. He filled my vision, smiling as he looked at me. His gentle hands carefully cupped my cheeks.

“Everything’s alright. So…”

Before he could finish his sentence, I reached out my arms and wrapped them around his neck. Then, I urgently sought his lips.

The messy, crushed gap between our lips opened, and our hot breaths mingled. He patted my shoulder, then slipped into the confined space, and the door swiftly closed.

As we kissed, he reclined the seat all the way back, then effortlessly lifted me to straddle him. The narrow car cabin began to fill with hot, heavy breaths.

“This is driving me crazy.”

He gripped my arms tightly, struggling to steady his ragged breathing. I could feel his hardness pressing against me in the cramped space, yet he seemed determined to restrain himself.

Given the location, there were simply too many limitations for such intimacy in a confined space. I knew this, yet… I longed to be even closer to him than I already was.

‘It feels like this is the only way to make this anxiety disappear.’

“Yoo Seo-jin?”

His eyes widened, shaking noticeably as he watched my hand slowly descend. I unbuckled him, then slipped my hand through the opening, instantly making contact with his hot, erect center.

“My hand—*Hngh*.”

Burying his face in my shoulder, he bit down hard, clenching his teeth. As I rubbed the tip, which had already begun to leak, thick pheromones started to seep out, coiling around us.

“I want to touch you too.”

“Just a moment… *Ah!*”

“Let me touch you, please?”

Before I could stop him, his hand plunged under my top, twisting my hardened nipples. I bit my lip, barely suppressing a moan, yet the intense stimulation continued unabated.

When I tried to sit up and escape him, he followed, completely pushing up my clothes and burying his lips against my chest, tormenting the very nipples his hand had just been teasing.

He pinned my pre-cum-slicked hand behind my back, rendering me immobile, then relentlessly tormented my small peaks. Each time he bit them painfully, then soothed them with soft licks, stars exploded before my eyes.

“St-stop—”

He tightened his grip around me, utterly ensnaring my pleas, then pulled down my constricting pants and began to furiously pump his thrusting member.

*Thwack, thwack*, the strong, thrusting core didn’t last long before it spurted white semen. Despite his somewhat premature climax, his shaft remained stubbornly erect.

“Yoo Seo-jin…”

Calling my name, he sought my lips. His moist, glistening eyes held only me, yet I couldn’t know how long this gaze would linger upon me.

For the destiny that had already begun, I would be powerless to stop it.

Jung Hee-soo was not in a good mood.

A few days ago, while going to see a movie with a friend, he had helped an Omega who seemed unwell.

He had simply asked if they were alright out of goodwill, yet the Omega’s partner, who arrived shortly after, had treated him with utter rudeness.

“Seriously, am I some kind of disease? He just swatted my hand away—”

“Yeah, you said he hit it so hard it still hurts.”

His friend, who had already memorized the story repeated over ten times, remained unfazed. Yet Jung Hee-soo still fumed, huffing and puffing to himself.

Jung Hee-soo sprang up from the bed and slammed his fist into the pillow he had been hugging. Still, his anger wouldn’t dissipate, and he began to stomp his feet wildly.

Even when his friend tried to stop him, warning about the dust, Jung Hee-soo struggled for a long time before finally lying on his side and recalling the Alpha’s face he had seen then.

“Is being handsome all that matters? His personality is awful.”

“Well, I guess he lives up to his looks.”

“But that Omega was incredibly beautiful too.”

Even at that moment, with their face pale from pain, the Omega Jung Hee-soo had seen was more beautiful than anyone he had ever encountered.

In truth, he had gone to help out of good intentions, but upon seeing their face, he’d almost lost himself for a moment—though that was his own secret.

“Looks like they’re two of a kind.”

“…Yeah, I guess so.”

Even though he hated to admit it, the Omega and the Alpha truly suited each other. Standing together, they looked like a perfect painting.

“You know, I think I’ve seen that… Alpha somewhere before.”

Jung Hee-soo narrowed his eyes, trying to recall. Even with such a terrible personality, he wouldn’t forget meeting such a handsome man, but nothing came to mind clearly, making him wonder if it was just his imagination.

“Surely you haven’t fallen for that Alpha, have you? He already has a partner!”

“Hey! I’m not that much of a scumbag!”

At his vehement denial, his friend narrowed their eyes. Jung Hee-soo waved his hands, insisting it wasn’t true, and only then did his friend drop their suspicion.

Jung Hee-soo averted his gaze, trying to calm his trembling heart. He truly had no interest in the Alpha, but the Omega kept lingering in his mind.

At first, he thought it was simply the shock of meeting someone with such an unforgettable appearance, but that wasn’t it. If he could, he wanted to meet that Omega just one more time.

‘Had I truly fallen for them?’

He wanted to understand what this tremor meant, but realistically, it was incredibly difficult to meet someone again after a chance encounter. After all, there was a saying that if a coincidence happened twice, it was destiny.

‘I just need to forget them.’

Jung Hee-soo retrieved the pillow he had thrown aside and buried his face deep within it. Slowly, he tried to erase the lingering image of the Omega’s face, believing he would never see them again.
