“Naturally, I’m forcing a path open to send you out,” Yi Zhiqiu stated, raising his sword forward once more.
An invisible energy field, like a light cannon, obliterated everything in its path.
“That won’t work! Wait, it feels like something is coming!” I cried out in alarm.
As Yi Zhiqiu continued his destruction, the entire anomaly began to stir violently.
The scene Yi Zhiqiu had destroyed blurred for a moment before instantly restoring itself, as if a game map had simply reloaded.
Immediately after, countless ivy vines coiled towards Yi Zhiqiu.
“Tsk! So it’s not that easy to deal with after all?” Yi Zhiqiu’s sword danced in a circle.
I could vaguely discern the constantly rotating sword light forming a Taiji symbol. Any approaching ivy vines that entered the sword light were instantly shredded into countless pieces.
“So powerful! Is that the Taiji Sword style? I never imagined the slow, graceful swordplay I’d seen in the plaza could unleash such immense power in Yi Zhiqiu’s hands, and with such profound elegance.”

My vision blurred, followed by a dizzying sensation of the world spinning.
When I opened my eyes, I was stunned. Yi Zhiqiu was no longer in front of me, and I was no longer in the small garden.
Instead, I found myself in a forest. Not only that, but the Five Emperors Coins in my hand were gone.
Immediately, countless vines coiled towards me. I took off running, but in this forest, I couldn’t find my bearings.
After only a few steps, I tripped over a vine. Then, countless vines swarmed me, pulling my limbs apart and hoisting me into the air.
Why? My jade pendant and prayer beads showed no reaction. Was it because these vines weren’t demons or ghosts? Or perhaps their actions weren’t considered ‘harming’ me?
The vines relentlessly continued to burrow into my clothes, spreading towards my chest and even into my underwear.

I fell directly from the air, but I didn’t hit the ground. Instead, I landed in a warm, soft embrace.
Yi Zhiqiu had rushed beneath me at an incredibly fast speed, catching me.
I instinctively hugged Yi Zhiqiu tightly, not just for the sense of safety, but also because of that hungry, parched feeling.
Only by holding him could I find some slight relief.
The vines continued to try and attack us, but this time Yi Zhiqiu did not retaliate.
He stood his ground, a slowly rotating energy field forming around him like a Taiji shield.
It merely blocked the vines, no longer severing them.
Soon, the anomaly sensed no aggression, and with Yi Zhiqiu holding me in a posture that once again fit the ‘couple’ standard, the vines ceased their agitation and slowly retreated.
“I’m sorry, I was late, and I didn’t expect this anomaly could forcibly separate people.”
“The Five Emperors Coins are too high-level; the anomaly couldn’t take them away,” Yi Zhiqiu apologized.
He wasn’t truly late; only about half a minute had passed since I was transported away.
