Join the ServerAs the reckless charge continued, huge holes repeatedly appeared throughout the Mayor’s residence.
The savage Orcs treated the entire area as their personal stamping ground, recognizing neither friend nor foe—only the relentless urge to charge.
Yet, as fate would have it, such foolish recklessness in a place riddled with traps was destined to meet its reckoning.
Guided by their acute sense of smell, the pig Orcs had already detected the distinct odor of the human race.
As biological weapons, specifically engineered by the dwarven empire in its twilight years to target humanity, the Orc race possessed extensive experience and capability in tracking humans.
The massive black robe covering the Orc was casually ripped apart, revealing a creature with thick tusks, a body bristling with sharp black bristles, and the head of a pig. Gripping twin axes, the Orc roared with laughter.
“Ah ha ha ha, human brats! Your lord is here to teach you a lesson!”
Then, he took flight.
Quite literally, he was launched into the air.
The uneven floor transformed into a colossal spring, catapulting him back the way he came.
“No way, someone actually fell for that? I thought Lola was just messing around.”
After the pig Orc soared into the sky, a figure emerged from the shadows.
This was Larkin, clad in his magical armor.
He craned his neck, attempting to track the Orc, who had become little more than a streaking comet.
But in the very next second, a downward slash descended from above.
Larkin, relying on pure instinct, snapped his neck back, his forehead slick with cold sweat.
He touched his neck. Though a small amount of blood trickled forth, it was only a minor graze.
The pig Orc, a savage grin plastered across its face, stared at Larkin. “You must be that Imperial Prince, huh? Heh, you certainly have the face of a pretty boy. No wonder you were specifically requested.”
Larkin hugged himself, trembling as he asked, “No way! I know I’m naturally handsome, but my reputation has spread even to the Orcs?! My apologies, but different species won’t lead to anything fruitful.”
“Who said we Orcs are interested in you? It’s your own human kind who’s interested. Judging by his look, he probably wants to have some fun with you. Heh heh, he certainly has many tricks up his sleeve.”
‘Oh?! Good news: his charm has spread among humans. Bad news: he seems to be a pervert.’
“Shouldn’t we consider sitting down and talking? I believe we could uncover many interesting topics and get to know each other better.”
“Roar! You ancestor!”
Despite its bulky appearance, the Orc possessed astonishing speed. Larkin narrowly dodged the crushing blow of its twin axes.
The power was indeed formidable, but the magical armor itself couldn’t transform someone into a formidable warrior.
Its greatest purpose was to empower already exceptional warriors.
Fortunately, Larkin was keenly aware of his own limitations, so his chosen strategy was remarkably simple: to turtle up.
Having not anticipated issues with the teleportation array, Larkin hadn’t prepared a large supply of defensive scrolls in advance.
However!
He had received numerous ‘blessings.’
These were the ‘blessings’ from the renowned elders of the Holy Light Church.
These blessings were akin to magical imprints, given as a sweetener by the bishops to ensure Larkin felt that debating with them was worthwhile and would encourage deeper engagement.
They could instantly erect a powerful magical defense barrier or unleash potent healing magic.
However, the activation conditions were specific: he needed to continuously chant praises to the Holy Light in his heart.
The bishops’ insidious intentions were clear.
Initially, Larkin had resisted using this, but as the saying went, ‘where there’s life, there’s hope.’
He firmly believed that his loyalty to the Empire would never waver, even if he invoked the power of the Holy Light.
Nevertheless, as the Orc’s massive axe descended upon him, Larkin did not hesitate.
“Praise the Holy Light!!!”
A flash of white light erupted, followed by the resounding clang of metal.
The Orc’s body vibrated violently. A product of the bishops was always a masterpiece, and this defensive magic even came with a power reflection.
A milky-white shield enveloped Larkin, preventing him from even feeling the impact of the blow.
‘Is this the power of faith?!’
Larkin was profoundly shaken, but then he vigorously shook his head. ‘No, he needed to remain loyal, absolutely loyal. How could he harbor such blasphemous thoughts?’
He was merely utilizing the power of faith for now.
Suffused with a white glow, Larkin suddenly felt his courage surge. He pointed at the Orc’s nose and declared, “Foolish Orc, accept the judgment of the Church and the Empire!”
The Orc, adept at filtering energy from a specific drink, roared, and then bravely charged at Larkin.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Alicia quietly observed the colossal monster covered in prosthetics.
Her petite frame stood in stark contrast to her opponent, creating a scene reminiscent of ‘Beauty and the Beast.’
“A Silkworm, are you? What a pity. I’ve already absorbed enough of the Silkworm bloodline. I’ll deal with you quickly, then go take care of that little brat.”
The creature’s appearance was both shocking and terrifying.
Various grotesque prosthetics and irregular bulges covered its entire body, resembling a patchwork of body tissues from different species.
Alicia blinked, then pondered before asking, “Um, I’ve heard of a wanted criminal, pursued by over 80% of countries, who specifically targets bloodline wielders. He takes particular body parts from them. Rumor has it that after each successful attack, his body expands a bit, and that expanded part is the very organ he took.”
“And eight years ago, the Silkworm race was attacked by this criminal, resulting in the death of their patriarch. That criminal is you, isn’t it? The ‘Bloodline Fusion Killer,’ as you’re known.”
The Bloodline Fusion Killer’s grotesque mouth twisted into a grin. “Heh, you’re right, it’s me. That old Silkworm antique was quite strong; it took me a lot of effort to extract his organs. But you should thank him. Thanks to his powerful bloodline, I’m no longer interested in the Silkworm bloodline. Tell me the whereabouts of other bloodline wielders, and I might let you go!”
Alicia took a deep breath, removed her shoes and socks, revealing her fair, jade-like feet, and began to stretch. “You know, I’ve always opposed excessively devaluing a person’s worth. In my view, everyone, no matter who they are, has the right to live and shine in this world. But you, with your actions, have shown me that there truly are levels of existence that are just a waste of air.”
The Bloodline Fusion Killer cackled wildly. “Pffft, ah ha ha ha! Do you really think you can defeat me? It seems the tragic demise of your clan’s patriarch didn’t serve as a warning to you.”
Alicia launched the first attack. Her seemingly smooth and soft calves stomped fiercely on the ground, and with the reciprocal force, she charged at the Bloodline Fusion Killer with incredible speed.
Her small fist unleashed astonishing speed and power in a short burst, creating a sonic boom.
However, this earth-shattering punch failed to deliver its anticipated destructive force.
An invisible, transparent shield blocked the Bloodline Fusion Killer, and Alicia’s fist merely created ripples across its surface.
“It seems you barbarians truly never learn.”
The Bloodline Fusion Killer declared.
Immediately after, the ripples spreading outwards from the shield abruptly converged, focusing on Alicia’s fist.
The next second, Alicia was sent flying by the very force that should have been inflicted upon the Bloodline Fusion Killer.
Her petite body crashed through two walls before finally coming to a halt.
“All your brains truly are in your muscles.”
“I do believe my patriarch needs to change that aspect,” Alicia’s voice resonated from within the shattered wall.
“While valuable combat experience was gained back then, I feel that many things cannot solely rely on experience; one needs actual physical engagement to understand the true nature of this reflected power.”
The Bloodline Fusion Killer watched Alicia leap from the wall. Though she looked disheveled, she only had a few minor scrapes.
Had she not anticipated the force’s backlash, Alicia’s hands, at the very least, should have been shattered.
With another sonic boom, Alicia vanished from her spot, reappearing behind the Bloodline Fusion Killer.
The invisible barrier reappeared, but this time, Alicia’s kick shattered the shield, striking the Bloodline Fusion Killer’s neck with immense force.
Like a meteor crashing to earth, a massive shockwave decimated the nearby floor and walls.
Alicia had hoped this single blow would reduce the Bloodline Fusion Killer to a pulpy mess.
However, it seemed achieving that would be somewhat luxurious at the moment.
Alicia retreated to a distance. She had just used bloodline enhancement and gigantification on her leg, aiming for maximum instantaneous burst damage—the kind that could physically turn the Bloodline Fusion Killer into a puddle of gore.
The Bloodline Fusion Killer stood up, completely unharmed. “How interesting. If this body didn’t possess the bloodline power of softening and near-death regeneration, that last blow might have incapacitated me, wouldn’t it have?”
Alicia, however, did not lose heart.
She merely said with regret, “Still, I understand that good things come to those who wait. Luckily, I still have some barbarian tricks I haven’t used on you yet. So, shall we continue, Mr. Sandbag?”
