Had Theodore not still been astride Theresia, he would have undoubtedly shouted this declaration across the sky, letting everyone witness his overflowing excitement and joy.
The dragon saddle was still the limited-edition elven one he had purchased long ago, yet today’s riding experience felt vastly different from any before.
In his former human form, riding a dragon evoked a sense of awe—the heavens and the world lay beneath his feet. However, it also underscored his own insignificance compared to Theresia.
For Theresia herself, it had simply been a matter of being ridden. Beyond that, there had been no practical purpose.
But now, things were different. Possessing the blood of giants and having transformed into one, Theodore feared no gale, even without the elven saddle’s protection. His colossal size now perfectly matched Theresia’s.
Wielding his stone spear from the dragon’s back, Theodore launched devastating strikes at Promen, reveling in the exhilarating sensation of being invincible.

Once again, Theresia found herself being ridden. Her excitement was the inverse of Theodore’s, and she could only express her current mood through silent resignation.
She had been ridden by Theodore before, of course. But back then, Theodore was merely a tiny human, smaller than her dragon-form’s palm—so delicate, ‘fragile,’ and ‘powerless.’
At that time, only the dragon saddle truly made Theresia aware that someone was perched on her neck.
Now, however, the giant’s massive body gave Theresia a very distinct, forceful sensation of being ridden.
‘How utterly shameful,’ she thought.
Theresia wished she could instantly dig a massive hole in the ground and burrow into it. It had nothing to do with so-called dragon dignity.
It was primarily because this situation, combined with her extensive exposure to ‘yellow pollution’ from both her past and present lives, made Theresia recall many… *plays*.
Especially since… she and Theodore had actually *played* some of them!
Though Theodore seemed to have no memory of those three days. And, admittedly, she had lost her wits during those three days.

Regardless of their individual feelings, the power they wielded was undeniably real.
Dragon Rider Charge!
Dragon Rider Charge, again!
Dragon Rider Charge, yet again!
Promen: “…”
In truth, Theresia and Theodore hadn’t intended to rely on a single move. They perfectly embodied the adage that Lü Bu was invincible on horseback, and Dian Wei was invincible on foot, but Lü Bu riding Dian Wei did not equate to absolute invincibility.
The legendary Epic-tier Giant Dragon Rider was not simply a giant mounted on a dragon. While giants and dragons shared a strong compatibility, the Giant Dragon Rider combat style, which perfectly fused their powers, was a battle strategy tailor-made for both races by the God of War.
Evidently, Theodore had spent all these years only learning how to tame a disobedient black dragon. And Theresia, for her part, had never once considered that she would one day be ridden!
“Hiss, you hit my tail.”
“Hey, you nearly threw me off.”
“Where’s your damage? I’m soaking all the hits up front, where’s your output?”
“Can we not kite? We can’t kill him, don’t you know to kite?”
“Can you not be so useless?! Is there any other giant as pathetic as you?!”
“Can you not be so reckless?! Even a black dragon doesn’t need to act like a sandbag?!”
The duo, initially united in their efforts, predictably devolved into a blame-shifting session.
Promen: “…Enough!”
The current enemy was certainly detestable, but the defilement of his precious past memories was even more unbearable!
“You are forbidden from insulting the Giant Dragon Riders like this!”
Promen’s hysterical shout stunned both Theodore and Theresia into silence.
“Hey, you giant brat!”
Meeting Promen’s murderous gaze, Theodore unconsciously straightened up and obediently replied, “Uh, yes?”
Promen gnashed his teeth. “Is *that* how you ride your dragon? Anyone would think you were riding a ceramic ornament…” A torrent of reprimands rained down on Theodore, drenching him in shame. Yet, Theodore couldn’t retort, for Promen’s criticisms were entirely valid, even offering correct alternatives.
Having finished with Theodore, Promen turned his attention to Theresia. “And you, black dragon!”
Theresia tensed. “Yes?”
Promen snapped, “Why are you swinging your tail so wildly?! Are you trying to turn your rider into a spinning top?! Pay attention to your amplitude and angle…”
Theresia nodded repeatedly.
Although Promen had never been a Giant Dragon Rider himself, he had certainly ‘eaten pork’ even if he hadn’t ‘seen pigs run.’ In the ancient era of the gods, while the Giant Dragon Rider was pioneered by the God of War, he couldn’t monopolize it.
At that time, neither the dragon race nor the giant race was fully beholden to any single deity; instead, various gods held sway over them. It was only during the Giant Dynasty and the Dragon Alliance eras that giants and dragons openly defied the gods.
Thus, Promen had encountered his own Giant Dragon Riders during the age of the gods. After all, they were indeed the strongest fighting force, combining both elegance and power.
Having vented almost everything he knew, Promen exhaled and waved his hand. “Alright, let’s start over. Did you remember what I just said?”
Theresia and Theodore: (´・_・`)
“Your voices?! Are you mute?!”
Like children chastised by their homeroom teacher, Theresia and Theodore shouted in unison, “We remembered!”
For a moment, they couldn’t tell if Promen was friend or foe. If he was an enemy, he had consistently committed acts that could only be described as aiding the enemy. But if he was a friend, he had genuinely tried to kill them in battle.
It was utterly contradictory. Perhaps being confined in the labyrinth for too long had made him a little… abnormal. Yet, it had to be said, Promen’s teachings were truly invaluable.
Following Promen’s guidance, Theodore and Theresia’s coordination became much smoother. The giant’s long spear swept through the air, leaving countless afterimages, its powerful combat techniques and strength demonstrating extraordinary oppressive force from above.
The black dragon, in turn, transformed its entire body into a weapon. It reined in its large movements, minimizing the use of its claws, tail, fangs, and horns. While this slightly reduced its individual destructive power, it granted its mounted giant more freedom to unleash attacks, ultimately leading to a greater overall increase in combat strength.
And all these improvements… were directed squarely at Promen.
Promen found himself in a considerable struggle. The stone spear’s power was enough to pierce his body, and the dragon’s mass could crush him. Yet, a look of satisfaction spread across his face.
Yes, this was the feeling. Though not yet perfectly matched, it brought him a sense of returning to the battlefield of old.
“Alright, the hunt begins.”
Promen suddenly struck. He had been subtly concealing his ultimate move until now, and it was finally fully charged. The moment the Dragon Rider approached him, a terrifying divine black hole abruptly appeared before Promen, devouring everything in its vicinity.
It was utterly unexpected. The overwhelming threat of death made Theresia’s dragon scales bristle. Her body instinctively twisted her forward trajectory, and while resisting the black hole’s damage with her formidable stats, she forcibly contorted her dragon body, escaped the suction, and carried Theodore soaring into the sky.
Theodore looked at the large patches of flaking scales and the basin-sized blood holes on the black dragon’s body, his heart aching. “Theresia?”
“I’m fine, just minor injuries.” Such wounds were within an acceptable range for a black dragon; her immense health bar and rapid regeneration saw to that. Theresia’s gaze remained fixed on the center of the explosion.
A black hole at such close range must have engulfed Promen, but she had a premonition that he was not dead. And just as she suspected, Promen emerged from the terrifying energy flux completely unharmed, looking at the injured black dragon.
‘Hm, an immature black dragon is still a black dragon. To be able to forcibly counteract inertia and suction of this intensity… Any other dragon would have lost half its body. But an adult black dragon, with just that glancing blow, would at most shed a layer of scales.’
This was a battle without suspense. Giants and dragons without divine power had lost the means to destroy him, and their lack of coordination only highlighted them as rookies who had never undergone Dragon Rider training.
“I gave you a concession just now, and it was not bad. To witness such beings in this era is truly exhilarating!” If one popped champagne halfway through a battle that was already won, the victory would be like wearing brocade robes at night—utterly devoid of flavor. Promen declared loudly:
“However, the Giant Dragon Rider is but an echo of a bygone era. Your predecessors were incredibly powerful, yet you have not inherited their legacy. As for me, Promen, I am a veteran of countless wars, a vanguard of darkness! It is your honor to fall by my hand!”
