Join the Server“Hyung?!”
Doyoon bolted toward the master bedroom, heart in his throat. The door was locked.
He rattled the handle. From inside came a panicked shriek.
“Wait, wait! Don’t come in!”
His stomach dropped to the floor. “Hyung, what’s wrong?! Are you hurt?!”
“I’m fine! Totally fine, just—do NOT open this door!”
Seunghyun sounded one step away from a heart attack.
Then—thump, thump, thump—frantic footsteps, something being dragged across the floor. Doyoon pressed his ear to the door and caught muffled muttering: “…where do I hide it…”
Hide?
Hide what?
His eyes narrowed.
In one sweeping glance he scanned the living room and kitchen. Tiny things were off. A cushion slightly crooked, a throw blanket folded wrong. Someone had been here.
The housekeeper had today off.
Seunghyun… cleaned?
Impossible.
The smile he’d worn walking in vanished. His face went deadly serious.
“Hyung. Open the door.”
“I told you to wait! Also—why are you home so early without even texting?!”
That tone—like Doyoon was the one who messed up.
Ice shot through his veins. His heart started hammering.
Did I do something wrong? Was I too pushy this morning? The food wasn’t good?
He replayed the day at warp speed.
…Wait.
Didn’t Hyung say something this morning about “it” arriving today?
What exactly was arriving?
“…A person?”
The word slipped out before he could stop it.
And that was it—the tiny seed of anxiety exploded into a full-blown hurricane.
His lips went bloodless.
Earlier he’d thought Seunghee moved the meeting because she remembered his birthday.
Now the thought twisted into something ugly.
What if Seunghyun asked her to?
What if, while Doyoon was gone, he’d invited someone over—?
He remembered Seunghyun pushing him to answer the phone every time things got heated.
The thoughts wouldn’t stop.
He pictured opening the door and finding some stranger in their bed.
His hand tightened on the handle again. Still locked.
He needed to see.
“Hyung. Open. Now.”
“Wait—!”
Another crash inside.
Doyoon’s face went blank.
Seunghyun never locks doors. He barely closes them.
Rational thought? Gone.
Next second—
BAM!
The door flew open with a splintering crack. The broken lock clattered across the floor.
“DOYOON?!”
Seunghyun was on his knees on the bed in the most awkward pose known to man, looking like he’d seen the grim reaper.
Dead silence.
Seunghyun was naked except for a white dress shirt—and black boxer briefs, technically, but they barely counted. The shirt hung to his thighs, bare legs trembling beneath.
His face was flushed scarlet, hair a mess, like he’d just run a marathon.
On the nightstand: opened lube, condoms.
Doyoon’s vision swam.
Seunghyun stammered, “You—you just broke the door?! I told you to wait! And you didn’t even text that you were coming home—”
“Hyung. One second.”
Doyoon’s gaze swept the room like a heat-seeking missile.
Then he spotted it—a suspicious shape under the bed.
“NO—!”
Too late.
Doyoon bent down and pulled out… a hot-pink dildo wearing a strawberry-scented condom like a party hat.
His pupils earthquake’d.
Used? Or about to be used?
Either answer was unacceptable.
Blue flames actually sparked in his eyes.
But the moment he held the evidence, he went eerily calm.
He turned to Seunghyun, voice ice-cold.
“Where is he?”
“…Who?”
“The guy you fucked.”
Then he started ripping open every closet like a man possessed.
Seunghyun leapt off the bed. “There’s no one! I can explain!”
“I know, I know. He sweet-talked innocent Hyung, right? It’s okay. I understand.”
He was already calculating: 30th floor—push him off the balcony, looks like suicide…
Seunghyun launched himself at Doyoon, wrapping arms around his waist from behind.
“What the hell are you thinking?! There’s NO ONE!”
“I’m not mad, Hyung.”
His eyes were spinning.
“I always knew you might get tired of me someday. Just… didn’t expect it this soon. Doesn’t mean I’d let you go, though.”
Seunghyun’s face went white.
“What are you TALKING about?! I was preparing your birthday present, you idiot—LOOK!”
Tears of rage (or terror) welled up in his eyes.
Doyoon finally followed his pointing finger.
Across the opposite wall: cheap purple balloons spelling HAPPY BIRTHDAY in crooked letters.
Flower baskets in every corner.
Seunghyun was panting. “There’s no one here! I was alone!”
Doyoon froze.
Mouth open.
Brain blue-screen.
When the hell did those balloons get there?
Seunghyun started word-vomiting.
“I was gonna do it tomorrow, but you said you’d be busy, so I moved it to today! Then you suddenly took the day off and I panicked, and when you finally left I tried to set everything up—”
His face was on fire.
“So… the dildo…?”
Seunghyun screamed, “I can’t be half-naked in my own house?!”
“No, that’s not—usually you don’t—”
Doyoon shut up. Apology time.
He looked down, mumbling, “…Sorry. I lost my mind for a second.”
Seunghyun exhaled shakily, tension leaving his shoulders.
Then he squinted. “Wait… you thought I was cheating?”
“I—”
“You think I gave you that ring for fun?!”
He couldn’t finish.
Because Doyoon—head still bowed—was suddenly crying.
Fat, silent tears plopping onto the floor.
Seunghyun yelped. “Hey!”
“…I’m sorry.”
“I’m not even mad yet, why are you crying?!”
“Because… because you wouldn’t look at me all morning, and when I left you looked relieved, and then the door was locked, and… and there was this thing rolling around—”
He held up the offending pink dildo like evidence in court, then pointed at the lube.
Seunghyun opened his mouth.
Closed it.
Yeah. The scene did look insane.
