Join the ServerThese bat-winged demons were getting cautious. That wouldn’t do.
It seemed they needed a little stimulation.
Luka made up her mind.
She searched her past-life memories and found the lines best suited for this scene.
The corner of her mouth curled up. She covered her mouth with one hand, pointed at the bat-winged demons with the other, and put on the most contemptuous expression she could muster.
“Ehee? Why aren’t you coming anymore? Don’t tell me you’re scared enough to wet yourselves~”
Luka bared her fangs, raised an eyebrow, and curved her eyes into crescents, but her tone was venomous:
“To think you’d treat someone as weak as me, a magical girl, like a grave threat, all wary and on guard. You’re as timid as rats in a gutter. One little scare and you’re pissing yourselves and running with your tails between your legs~”
“Oh wait, looking at your faces, you’re practically rats that mutated after eating filth from a sewer. You don’t just resemble rats, you’re family with them, all equally stinking and ugly, slanted eyes and crooked mouths~”
“Could it be that your parents had some unspeakable affair with stinky rats to produce you? Oh ho ho, I’m dying of laughter. You’re a bunch of small fry, weak and ugly trash~”
Such filthy words, combined with an expression that looked down on them like garbage, whipped up a storm on the scene.
The bat-winged demons’ intelligence wasn’t high, but it was enough to grasp most of the insults.
In their brief demonic lives, they had never experienced such vicious, sarcastic mocking!
Even when punished or scolded by their superiors, the insults had never been like this!
Moreover, being insulted by an unstoppable strong one would be one thing.
But this magical girl before them had a tiny, childlike body that looked like it could be crushed with one hand, and her magical aura was laughably weak.
Yet she completely disregarded them. Such absurd arrogance infuriated them twofold!
They had to severely punish this arrogant magical girl brat, devour her alive!
In an instant, all the bat-winged demons’ ugly purple faces flushed with angry red.
Their eyes turned bloodshot and fierce.
Veins bulged and twitched on their foreheads.
Soon, the first demon roared and charged. All of them abandoned their previous fear and swarmed forward.
“Hehe, hooked.”
Luka wasn’t alarmed; she was delighted.
“I never expected those bratty girl tricks from my past life to work this well!”
Seeing the bat-winged demons so blood-addled, desperate to tear her apart before killing her, it was almost like Alesia’s taunting magic.
Could she really have a talent for this kind of performance?
In the distance, Moye and Alesia were dumbfounded.
“This recruit, is she really only one-star first-rank?”
Alesia’s mouth twitched. “If she hadn’t just used top-tier magic, I’d suspect she’d taken my taunting incantation after advancing!”
Moye, however, said nothing. No one knew what unspeakable image was in her mind.
She actually covered her face with both hands, and her legs couldn’t help rubbing together slightly.
Meanwhile, the first few bat-winged demons to act had raised their magic guns and fired at Luka’s shield.
It was exactly like the previous two times.
Caught off guard, Luka’s shield shattered first, then her body was blown apart by the magic bullets.
This time, the bat-winged demons didn’t dare laugh at all.
They stared at her broken body, trying to spot any irregularity.
Sure enough, no blood sprayed.
The severed limbs even gave off a flickering light, then vanished from the air with a whoosh.
Another illusion clone!
The bat-winged demons’ hearts tightened. They were about to look around for Luka.
Before they could act,
Bang!
A magic bullet shot out like a death sentence.
Two bat-winged demons were hit with one shot. Their bodies burst open with bloody holes, and they shrieked as they fell from the sky.
Luka’s ghostly figure emerged from an unremarkable corner.
Her gaze was cold. She held her magic gun level, aimed at the next demon, and waited for her magic to recover before firing again.
The fall of two companions sobered the bat-winged demons a little.
“Scatter!” they shouted.
They flapped their wings desperately, dodged and weaved in a small area, and used high-speed maneuvering to lower their risk of being shot.
This tactic was quite effective.
Luka aimed for a few seconds, found it hard to land an easy hit, and simply moved to chase the nearest bat-winged demon.
Seeing her approach, the demons on both sides quickly closed in behind her.
Five or six magic guns fired, and Luka’s body exploded.
But still, it wasn’t her true body!
The bat-winged demons didn’t dare be careless. They glanced around while moving at high speed, terrified of becoming Luka’s next target.
“These beasts are a bit smarter than I expected.” Luka remained invisible, hidden in the darkness.
“As long as they keep deliberately dodging, it’ll be hard for me to hit two at once. But this kind of tactic only slows down the speed of their annihilation!”
Luka moved, locked onto the trail of one bat-winged demon, and closed to just a few meters away.
Bang!
A magic bullet shot out. The demon’s head exploded, and it died on the spot.
Within a short time, she had already taken out half of the fourteen bat-winged demons, leaving only seven.
This kill efficiency couldn’t be called a battle; it was one-sided slaughter.
“Magica! Kill her!” Luka’s reappearance made the surrounding bat-winged demons go red-eyed. They pointed at her and roared.
However, they didn’t fire again. They learned their lesson. They would never make the same mistake!
The seven bat-winged demons circled and closed in on her.
They didn’t shoot at the illusion clone. Instead, they wanted to compress Luka’s space and force her to reveal herself from invisibility.
After all, for Luka to land a stable hit in aerial combat, she had to get as close as possible to the demons.
As long as they formed a tight formation and kept flapping their wings in a small area, they could make her afraid to approach.
“Heh, that’s a reasonable tactic, but…” Luka couldn’t help but laugh.
She approached the nearest bat-winged demon, aimed, fired, and easily shot through its chest.
The number of bat-winged demons dropped to six again.
“How do you know this ‘clone’ isn’t actually my real body?” Luka spread her hands helplessly. “I never said I used magic this time either.”
“Damn it!” The bat-winged demons’ blood was practically spurting from their seven orifices.
They raised their magic guns and blasted Luka apart again.
Whoosh!
The broken body vanished, another illusion clone!
Luka curled her lips, appeared two meters behind a bat-winged demon, and blew its head off with a shot.
Enemies remaining: five.
“Sorry, that one really was a clone.” Luka giggled, covering her mouth. “You won’t blame me for not warning you, right?”
The remaining five bat-winged demons felt as if the fury in their chests had been doused with a bucket of ice water.
Goosebumps broke out from their scalps to their wings.
Only cold and fear remained in their hearts.
She watched the panicked, hesitant bat-winged demons and approached slowly, holding her magic gun.
“Now, for the no-prize quiz round, is this still a clone?”
Luka smiled slightly, but there was no humor in her eyes. “Treasure the few chances you have left, because I can see your firepower isn’t quite enough now.”
