Join the ServerSong Zhiyou discovered that these children, who cried and wailed at the sight of demonic beasts, were surprisingly adept at fighting each other.
They unleashed their spiritual powers in unison, trading blows with Li Xiaoye in a fairly even match.
However, the fight was more about restraint.
A strike for a strike, spiritual techniques flying back and forth like ticklish jabs.
Song Zhiyou was not idle.
After she had knocked Baby Fat to the ground, she went to help.
Her moves were more straightforward and brutal.
A fierce punch to the solar plexus, a heavy kick to the ribs, a blow to the bridge of the nose—Song Zhiyou used every trick to incapacitate her opponents in an instant.
Meanwhile, before the water mirror, the elders were watching the melee.
When they saw so many people rushing at Song Zhiyou, Elder Wang flew into a rage.
“So many ganging up on two little dolls? Utterly shameless!”
But soon, everyone was knocked down by Song Zhiyou, and Li Xiaoye bound them all with vines.
The elders exchanged glances.
“Elder Wang, is this what you call… bullying?”
Elder Wang ignored them, slamming the table.
“So many can’t defeat two children? Utterly useless! How can they cultivate like this?”
Elder Wei silently turned his face away, not wanting to speak.
Elder Wang was upright and resolute in character, good in every way except one: he loved and hated with extreme passion.
The other elders were speechless, but considering his Nascent Soul cultivation, they swallowed their words.
They skipped over Elder Wang’s remarks and began discussing the chaos.
“What did you say earlier?”
Song Zhiyou picked her ear, looking down at the blubbering Baby Fat, her tone unspeakably roguish.
Baby Fat sobbed, gasping for breath: “I… I… Song Zhiyou, you’re finished when we get out!”
“Fellow disciples should… should love… each other, you… you harm your peers, when we’re out the elders won’t let you—ah!”
His threats and moral blackmail ended with Song Zhiyou’s mighty fist.
“I was wrong! I was wrong, Sister You, let me go, boohoo, I just wanted to ask you for help dealing with demon bugs…”
The more he spoke, the more wronged he felt, looking at Song Zhiyou pitifully.
Song Zhiyou extended her hand: “Didn’t I hear you say you wanted to rob me?”
“No! Not at all, absolutely not!”
“You dare deny it?”
“No… I mean, yes, I was possessed earlier. Sister You, spare me!”
Baby Fat trembled in fear. He didn’t know what answer Song Zhiyou wanted, so he was afraid to say yes and afraid to say no.
But seeing Song Zhiyou’s outstretched hand, he had a sudden flash of insight.
Quivering, he took off his storage pouch.
Just as he was about to pick something to offer Song Zhiyou, she had already taken the entire pouch.
Baby Fat dared not speak his anger. When Song Zhiyou’s hand reached out again, he was dumbfounded: “There’s… nothing left. I only have one… one storage pouch…”
Song Zhiyou raised an eyebrow, her eyes indicating the bracelet-like artifact on his wrist.
Baby Fat reluctantly removed the artifact, tears streaming down.
He had made a mistake. He would never provoke Song Zhiyou again!
He had thought Song Zhiyou, with her mutated spiritual root, was easy to bully, but now he understood.
Her spiritual root was already mutated—now she was invincible at the same cultivation level… no, perhaps even across levels, a madwoman who would stop at nothing!
Such a person was the last one to provoke.
Who knew if, in a fit of anger, she might drag you to your death together?
He even suspected that Zhou Yunfeng and his group were in cahoots with Song Zhiyou, luring them here to kill them…
Baby Fat was afraid. After emptying his belongings, he obediently squatted to the side.
The others followed suit, not even daring to meet Song Zhiyou’s eyes.
But not many had storage pouches. After stuffing her own pouch, Song Zhiyou couldn’t help but adorn her hands and neck with several necklace and bracelet artifacts.
Just then, a buzzing sound reached her ears.
The group squatting on the ground felt their scalps tingle.
But before they could decide whether to flee from offending Song Zhiyou or endure another sting from the demon bugs, they saw Song Zhiyou raise her hand.
The demon bugs, which had terrified and baffled them, were forced to reveal themselves.
Song Zhiyou felled a few with her sword, then laughed in exasperation when she saw them still crouching on the ground.
“Why aren’t you moving? They’re just first-rank low-grade demon bugs—what are you afraid of?”
At her words, they snapped out of their stupor. They scrambled to their feet, unleashing spiritual power against the bugs.
Though they couldn’t match Song Zhiyou’s precision—one sword strike, one kill—they quickly finished off the Hidden Bees in front of them.
Afterward, they looked at the burlap sack in Song Zhiyou’s hand with longing.
Zhou Yunfeng had been right!
Song Zhiyou really had a tool to deal with those demon bugs!
The intensity of their gazes was hard for Song Zhiyou to ignore.
She turned and dangled the sack in front of them.
“Want this?”
They nodded frantically, eyes growing brighter.
Song Zhiyou asked, puzzled, “Are you going somewhere with lots of Hidden Bees?”
Fang Ruhui frowned anxiously: “Sister You, we haven’t gotten our demon cores yet, but the valley is now full of Hidden Bees. We can’t get in at all.”
Song Zhiyou understood.
If they couldn’t get in, they couldn’t get the demon cores, and without the cores, they would lose their chance to enter the sect.
But she had already taken everything they had. Helping them would bring her no benefit.
Scanning their eager faces, Song Zhiyou had a change of heart. A benevolent smile appeared on her face…
