Join the ServerSong Zhiyou’s face was a mess of stings, lumps bulging across her skin. She howled as she dropped from the tree.
The Hidden Winged Bees chased her for a while before losing her trail again under the interference of the Hidden Void Escape Water. Once more, they hovered aimlessly nearby.
Song Zhiyou grimaced in pain. Even though she had wrapped herself tightly earlier, her body and face were now swollen with large welts.
She swallowed a medicinal pill, and only then did the pain subside somewhat.
It seemed that even with the Hidden Void Escape Water as camouflage, the Hidden Winged Bees would still attack her if she made any move to harm them.
Not to mention, she had been raiding their nest.
After all this trouble, Song Zhiyou had barely collected any of the bees’ pheromones and had nearly been stung to the point of poisoning.
This wouldn’t do.
During the day, when the bees came out a dozen or twenty at a time, Song Zhiyou could handle them.
But now, the swarm was dense inside the nest—hundreds, if not thousands—and she simply couldn’t withstand it.
“Song Xiaoliu, is this what you meant by making me stronger?”
Song Qingyao stared at Song Zhiyou with a completely numb expression.
She had actually believed Song Zhiyou’s nonsense, thinking that Song Zhiyou was genuinely going to help her grow stronger.
At one point, when Song Zhiyou ran past her, a few Hidden Winged Bees buzzed over and stung her as well.
Song Qingyao was beyond complaining; she just wanted Song Zhiyou to reform and go back to rest with her.
Song Zhiyou turned her head and stared fixedly at Song Qingyao.
Song Qingyao felt uneasy under that gaze, and the numbness and resentment on her face faded.
“You… what are you doing?”
“Xiaoqi, have you noticed something?”
Song Qingyao found it baffling. She looked over herself.
Nothing.
Then she followed Song Zhiyou’s gaze to the ground.
Around her lay several dead Hidden Winged Bees.
Song Qingyao pulled open her clothes and checked her arm.
The arm that should have been stung into bumps was unharmed, without any sign of swelling or poisoning.
Song Zhiyou cheerfully walked over with her swollen face and patted Song Qingyao on the shoulder.
“Xiaoqi, I knew you’d be impressive since you were a child!”
Song Qingyao…
Song Qingyao suddenly had a bad feeling.
Moments later.
Song Qingyao stood numbly under that tree, occasionally picking up a stone to throw at the bee nest above.
Originally, Song Zhiyou had applied the Hidden Void Escape Water for her.
Now, she had deliberately wiped it off.
Originally, she had wrapped her face, arms, and ankles tightly in cloth.
Now, all those wrappings had been taken away by Song Zhiyou.
The Hidden Winged Bees, irritated and with a clear target, one by one stung Song Qingyao’s face and body.
Then…
One after another, their bodies froze stiff and fell rustling to the ground.
The chill emanating from Song Qingyao caused every bee that chose to sting her to pay with its life.
The Hidden Winged Bees had been harassing them all day, even during their fight with the Blue Edge Wolves, those wretched bees had continuously inflicted damage.
But at this moment, Song Qingyao suddenly felt that the bees didn’t deserve this.
Song Zhiyou was too cunning!
Not only did she harass the bees, but she also made them come to die willingly.
Throwing another stone at the nest, Song Qingyao turned to look at where Song Zhiyou was.
She saw Song Zhiyou hiding far away in a tree, wrapped up tight, secretly watching her.
Oh, those cloth strips were originally hers.
Song Qingyao didn’t want to speak anymore. She just used her eyes to ask if this was enough.
Song Zhiyou gave a knowing look and seriously counted the number of bees.
Just as she deemed it enough and was about to tell Song Qingyao to stop throwing stones, Song Zhiyou suddenly heard an unusual noise.
She turned toward the source of the sound, her expression becoming subtle and strange.
Without hesitation, Song Zhiyou leaped lightly from the branch and came to Song Qingyao’s side.
She grabbed Song Qingyao’s arm. “Enough, run!”
Song Qingyao was displeased, running while complaining: “I’ve been standing here for so long, and you suddenly say it’s enough? Song Xiaoliu, you’re a complete jerk!”
As she spoke, she realized something and abruptly looked back. She saw wolves with murderous intent gleaming in their eyes slowly surrounding them.
When they noticed the two girls trying to escape, the Blue Edge Wolves accelerated.
Song Qingyao’s heart skipped a beat, instantly leaping into her throat.
Song Zhiyou also turned.
She could clearly see that among the wolf pack, there was one with a cyan mark on its forehead, smaller in size than the others.
It was too conspicuous in the pack.
Whether it was its stance, still as a rock yet fluid as water, or its fur that flowed with an almost metallic pale cyan luster under the moonlight, all signaled its uniqueness to Song Zhiyou.
A smaller size didn’t mean it was weaker.
On the contrary, Blue Edge Wolves were known for speed. This one was more compact and vigorous, with immense strength.
This was a top-grade first-tier, possibly even a peak first-tier Blue Edge Wolf.
In truth, Song Zhiyou had been careful enough.
After shaking off the Blue Edge Wolves, she had Song Qingyao change clothes with her and used water elemental spiritual power to erase all traces of their scent.
Then, when choosing this bee nest, they took many detours.
Yet…
The Blue Edge Wolves had found them again after losing their trail.
Song Zhiyou guessed that this special Blue Edge Wolf must be the reason.
Sure enough, as the pack ran, that Blue Edge Wolf quickly overtook the others and reached the front.
The distance between it and the two girls was shrinking at a terrifying speed!
Song Qingyao’s heart sank.
She watched in terror as the special Blue Edge Wolf, clearly different in speed and power. Her earlier ease vanished.
“Song Zhiyou, we can’t outrun it like this…”
Before she could finish, Song Qingyao suddenly noticed what Song Zhiyou was doing.
Her eyelids twitched.
She saw Song Zhiyou hurling a Hidden Winged Bee nest toward the special Blue Edge Wolf.
She had no idea when Song Zhiyou had grabbed that bee nest!
The special Blue Edge Wolf clearly didn’t take this black, unremarkable nest with no special spiritual power seriously.
It raised a paw, directly meeting the bee nest, and smacked it aside.
Then, without even blinking, it stepped on the nest, crushing it.
The wolf’s eyes even held a hint of human-like mockery and scorn.
It was openly expressing its disdain and provocation toward Song Zhiyou.
Song Zhiyou smiled. The Hidden Winged Bees grew furious. The Blue Edge Wolf was in for a world of trouble.
