Join the ServerSong Zhiyou had always thought her luck was terrible, and that was exactly the case.
The third path, the fourth path, were still dead ends.
And she had no idea what was happening outside, but the entire mountain path was shaking like an earthquake, rocking and rumbling.
She wondered how Xie Yue and Little Ghost were doing. Had Xie Yue caught up to Little Ghost?
If she had, then Song Zhiyou’s exposure was not far off.
Song Zhiyou frantically circulated her spiritual power, racing at full speed while continuing to make paper.
Each sheet she finished, she stuck onto the white robe beneath her black cloak.
At this point, Song Zhiyou didn’t care about fit or anything else. As long as it worked, that was fine.
Meanwhile, the white robe, already battered from Xie Yue’s attack, was being torn off piece by piece and stuffed into her mouth to restore spiritual power.
Thanks to Xie Yue, Song Zhiyou didn’t lack for spiritual energy now.
She followed the order and quickly ran toward the fifth path.
Finally, Song Zhiyou saw a light that wasn’t from her paper sheets!
A faint glow was coming from the mountain path ahead.
She hadn’t walked that section before, nor had she placed any glowing paper there.
Song Zhiyou’s heart leaped.
Finally.
Was her luck finally turning?
She took off, sprinting like mad toward the exit of the mountain path.
Just then, a soft laugh suddenly rang out.
Song Zhiyou’s mental alarm bells blared, and she skidded to an immediate halt.
She quickly looked around and saw that familiar figure standing before her, blocking her way.
The exit was within reach.
But closer than the exit was Xie Yue.
Song Zhiyou didn’t try any tricks. She just stared fixedly at Xie Yue.
Seeing Song Zhiyou so calm, a flicker of interest crossed Xie Yue’s eyes.
“What, aren’t you afraid of me even at death’s door?”
Song Zhiyou didn’t answer. Instead, she said, “How about we make a deal?”
Xie Yue’s interest faded. A wisp of black energy appeared in her hand. “Better just say your last words, you little brat.”
Xie Yue had already learned how cunning Song Zhiyou was and had no intention of giving her a third chance.
But Song Zhiyou said, “I lied to you the whole time, but one thing I didn’t lie about.”
“There really is a treasure in the mountain path, and I’ve already gotten my hands on it.”
Hearing this, Xie Yue was momentarily moved, but her face immediately sank again.
“Little brat, don’t try to fool me again.”
Song Zhiyou directly took something out and clenched it in her palm.
“Sister, look. There’s really no deep hatred between us, right?”
“You’re just trying to wipe out the seeds of the righteous path, aren’t you? Look, my talent is excellent. How about I follow you and turn to the evil path instead?”
“If you’re willing to take me in, I’ll give you the treasure I got from the cave. Sister, don’t you think that would be an even bigger blow to the righteous path?”
Xie Yue narrowed her eyes, focusing on Song Zhiyou’s tightly clenched hand.
A cold sneer curled at the corner of her lips. “Little brat, if I kill you, I can still get what’s in your hand. Using that as a bargaining chip isn’t enough.”
It was true, as Song Zhiyou said, watching the righteous fall into evil and turn on each other was the most amusing thing for her.
But right now, she didn’t believe a single word Song Zhiyou said!
Song Zhiyou showed hesitation, faltering for a while before finally speaking up.
“To be honest with you, sister, that person you brought earlier… I accidentally killed him. I can’t go back to the righteous path anymore.”
