“Take it home and taste it. See how it is.”

After he left, the atmosphere in the room froze again. Lin Yanlan looked about to cry. She hadn’t expected Liu Manquan to value her so little, just sending a sedan chair over to settle the matter.

“Fine, if we don’t go, we don’t go. Once Yanlan gets a foothold, will we ever lack a chance to visit?” Old Madam Lin could only comfort herself this way.

Second Aunt’s expression was full of mockery. They had schemed for so long, and the other side didn’t care one bit. Every bit of it was wasted effort.

She scattered the seeds, watered them, and the job was done.
