Chapter 102: I Don’t Want Her to Worry

“~Ah Liang, your family’s food is so good!”

“If I eat like this every day, I don’t know how much weight I’ll gain this vacation.”

“The thought of not being able to eat your family’s standard of food when I go back to college makes me a little reluctant to leave.”

Along the way, Tang Yunle was carefree and chattered away to herself. But Qin Liang, who was beside her, had his head lowered the whole time, his fingertips sliding across the tablet screen, as if he were dealing with something.

It wasn’t until Tang Yunle curiously poked her head over that he looked up, shook the tablet in his hand, and began to explain, “I just entered your face and fingerprints into my family’s security system. You have the same authority as me.”

“You can enter any room in the house, and you can use all the facilities. Even people who haven’t met you will know you and will treat you with the standards of a master’s family.”

“Wow, cool!” the girl boasted.

“As expected of my good brother, you’re so reliable!” She reached out and hooked her arm around the young man’s shoulder, her whole body leaning in intimately. The faint scent of lemon from her hair mixed with the cool scent of cedar from the young man.

“Ah Liang, what are we going to do this afternoon?”

“Why don’t we try your family’s go-karts? They have four wheels. To put it bluntly, they’re just toy cars. Who wouldn’t know how to drive them? Of course, if you really don’t know how, I can teach you hand-in-hand! Don’t look at the fact that I don’t have a driver’s license, but my driving skills are absolutely top-notch!”

“I have something to do this afternoon,” Qin Liang said.

“Alright then, I won’t teach you how to drive. What is it? I’ll go with you. No need to thank me. Who made us brothers!”

“No need.”

“Hmm?”

“I don’t need you to go with me.”

Tang Yunle abruptly turned her head, her beautiful eyes widening as she looked at Qin Liang. Then, her tone quickly softened. “Ah Liang, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have laughed at you for not knowing how to drive just now. Don’t be angry. You can decide what you want to do this afternoon. I promise I won’t interrupt.”

“Daddy, don’t be angry, okay~~”

She softened her tone.

Her attitude was sincere.

Her eyes were pleading.

Compared to her carefree and thoughtless appearance just now, hooking her arm around Qin Liang’s and acting like a bro, she was now more like a little cat that had accidentally angered its master and was now curled up at his feet, acting cute and rolling around, hoping for forgiveness.

His ice-blue pupils took in this scene, and the corner of Qin Liang’s mouth twitched almost imperceptibly.

Just now, they were like good brothers, with their arms around each other’s shoulders. In the blink of an eye, she was sweetly calling him “daddy.”

A woman’s face changes so quickly… no, the young man’s gaze darkened slightly.

He didn’t know when, but Tang Yunle seemed to be relying on him more and more, always hanging around him. He might not have noticed it before, or he might have noticed it but not thought too much about it.

But now…

If he were gone, what would happen to Tang Yunle, who had gotten used to relying on him?

This thought flashed through Qin Liang’s mind again.

He reached out and gently rubbed the girl’s head, his voice very soft, “I’m not angry. I have something to do this afternoon, something very important.”

“Can’t you take me with you?” Tang Yunle’s voice was as soft as a mosquito’s, with a hint of an imperceptible grievance.

The young man shook his head.

“Second young master, the doctors have all arrived. The eldest young master asked me to come and ask you to go for a physical examination,” at this time, Xiaolan, dressed in a moon-white cheongsam, walked over gracefully, her voice gentle.

“Wait a moment.”

Qin Liang withdrew his hand, handed the tablet in his hand to Tang Yunle, and then patted her fragrant shoulder. “Go and play for a while by yourself. I’ll be back tonight. With your authority, you can play with anything in the manor.”

“And, Ah Le, you have to learn to be independent. You can’t always follow me around.”

“In my eyes, you are a person with a free mind and an independent personality.”

After saying this, Qin Liang turned and left with Xiaolan.

Tang Yunle subconsciously wanted to follow, but her feet felt as if they were filled with lead, and she couldn’t move.

It wasn’t until that figure had completely disappeared at the end of the corridor that she raised her hand to rub her eyes, then slapped her own face hard. She looked down at the tablet in her arms and muttered to herself, “Who’s so rare as to follow you around every day? You’re really full of yourself.”

“If it weren’t for the fact that I’ve been gender-bent into a female pet with no human rights, I wouldn’t be following you around.”

“Laughing at me for being a clingy person, right? When I transmigrate back and change back to my original body, I’ll be able to send ten punks like you flying with one punch!”

As she muttered these tough words, the girl looked up at the empty corridor. It was so quiet she could hear her own breathing.

She tentatively moved her feet, but she didn’t know where to go, and she didn’t have anywhere she wanted to go.

Without Qin Liang, she seemed to have suddenly lost her direction.

“That’s right, let’s go and have a look there!” Suddenly, she slapped her forehead, as if she had thought of a brilliant idea, and turned and rushed into the elevator.

She smoothly arrived at a certain door. She pressed her thumb on the sensor area of the doorknob, and with a light “beep,” the door opened.

This was Qin Liang’s bedroom.

At the same time, Qin Liang and Xiaolan were sitting in the back of a new energy car. The car was driving smoothly towards its destination.

“Big Sister Xiaolan, you also know about my surgery, right?” the young man suddenly spoke, his ice-blue pupils turning to the mature older sister in the moon-white cheongsam beside him.

“I know,” Xiaolan nodded.

“Do many people know?”

“Second young master, have you forgotten? All the sisters in the manor know.”

“The retired managers before said that you used to always write suicide notes when you were a child and would cry and send them to your family and all the big sisters.”

As she spoke, she made the sign of the cross on her chest, her tone sincere. “A good person. Many of the young ladies have spontaneously prayed for you.”

“One who can safely overcome difficulties.”

“Thank you.”

Qin Liang was silent for a moment, then he said, “Um… Ah Le still doesn’t know. Big Sister Xiaolan, I hope you won’t tell her about my surgery. If she notices anything, just say it’s some minor illness and that I’ll be fine after taking some medicine. I don’t want her to worry about me.”

The mature older sister looked at him with a hint of surprise, then respectfully replied, “Yes.”

Qin Liang nodded, closed his eyes, and leaned back in his chair.

Why did he do this?

It was very simple.

After all, she had called him “daddy.”

As a “daddy,” how could he let his good daughter worry about him?

If possible, he really wanted to hear Tang Yunle call him “daddy” for the rest of his life.

Thinking this, the corner of the young man’s mouth curled up slightly.

As the saying goes, if a room is tidy and has no strange smells, it’s either a pervert or…

And Qin Liang’s bedroom obviously did not belong to these two categories.

The room was not luxurious, but it exuded a sense of minimalist neatness.

The large, dark gray bed was covered with a smooth, dark-patterned bedsheet. The quilt was folded into a perfect square, with sharp corners like a block of tofu. The desk by the window was spotless. A silver-gray laptop sat quietly in the center, and next to it were a few hardcover books with plain covers.

Tang Yunle tiptoed in, like a little animal venturing into a strange territory for the first time, looking around curiously.

Her gaze fell on the bedside table, where there was a photo frame.

She went over to take a look and was instantly stunned—in the photo was a seven or eight-year-old boy, his ice-blue eyes like a translucent gem. He was stroking the fur of a large white cat in his arms with a straight face. The big cat’s paws were clinging to his sleeve, as if it were acting coquettishly.

“It’s exactly the same as the picture in the dream. They’re both little shotas,” Tang Yunle’s fingertips gently poked the boy’s cheek in the photo.
