Chapter 49: The Enchantress’s Secret

In this world where demons and the paranormal coexist, there are many strange legends. Among these are inexplicable mystical legends and bizarre adventure tales. Within these mysterious legends, Ye Yu, who was once a boy, was most intrigued by a peculiar entity: the special demon girl known as the Enchantress—Arcadia.

According to rumor and historical records, Arcadia is a unique type of demon girl. They possess slender figures, exquisite beauty, and an irresistible allure. Even the most resolute men find themselves unable to resist their charm, often falling at their feet. Unlike other demon girls who typically despise humans, Arcadia belongs to a special group. In a sense, they hold the power to tame human males.

It is said that once a human male has intimate contact with them, his body will be marked with a ‘slavery’ symbol, rendering him their s*ave. In a way, this is similar to how Ye Yu contracts with Bai Maga, except that in a contract, the human is the master. After the mark appears, the human becomes the one enslaved.

Ye Yu has always maintained a skeptical stance toward these rumors about Arcadia. After all, if Arcadia truly possessed such immense charm and the ability to enslave men, shouldn’t they be ruling as queens by now? Why is there no sign of their presence in the world?

Therefore, Ye Yu has always believed that Arcadia is merely a figment of men’s fantasies, a beautiful creature they wish to be dominated by a charming, powerful woman. However, Ye Yu’s firm beliefs are now being challenged by a warm, tingling sensation in her lower abdomen and a heart-shaped pattern slowly forming beneath her black skirt.

Recalling the recent dreamlike encounter with the demon girl, her beautiful figure, and her distinctive heart-shaped tail, as well as her flowing, seaweed-like white-gold hair in the firelight, Ye Yu can’t help but wonder: Could that demon girl be the legendary Arcadia? And if so, does this mean she is now a s*ave to her?

This thought fills Ye Yu’s mind, causing her to momentarily forget that she is now a girl and not a boy. As a modern twenty-first-century individual, who would want to be someone’s pet?

Seeing the pink heart-shaped pattern on her abdomen, Ye Yu, ignoring Tang Yue’s instruction to reflect in the corner, stands up decisively to find the Arcadia who attacked her, hoping to discover a way to break the spell.

Just as Ye Yu stands up with determination, a girl’s whisper suddenly echoes in her mind, unheard by her ears.

‘Waaah! Am I going to be taken away by humans for cruel research?’

‘Someone, please save me!’

It’s a desperate, fearful plea, trembling with terror, reminiscent of a lost little girl on a dark road. Hearing this unexpected voice in her mind, Ye Yu’s small head fills with question marks as she woodenly surveys the lit tree hollow.

The small hollow is brightly illuminated by the fire, leaving no room for shadows. Inside, there are only Ye Yu, Tang Yue, and the demon girl, with no other beings present. Tang Yue, who is questioning the demon girl, shows no reaction to the girl’s whisper, as if she didn’t hear it.

Having read many strange novels, Ye Yu suddenly has a bold hypothesis: Could those two voices have been the demon girl’s thoughts? To confirm her guess, Ye Yu, after a brief thought, looks at the two figures by the fire and tentatively asks, ‘Honey, did you hear anything just now?’

As Ye Yu’s clear girlish voice resonates in the hollow, before Tang Yue can respond, the trembling voice echoes in Ye Yu’s mind again.

‘Was someone just talking?’

This time, Ye Yu clearly sees that the demon girl hasn’t opened her mouth, yet the voice has entered her mind. Realizing she can indeed hear the demon girl’s thoughts, Ye Yu’s bright eyes sparkle with wonder. Part of this wonder comes from the unique experience of soulful communication, and part from the fear revealed in the girl’s thoughts, making Ye Yu realize that the demon girl seems to have no animosity toward humans and is more like a naive girl.

With these two realizations, Ye Yu relaxes slightly. Seeing the demon girl’s frightened, shivering form, and wanting to prevent the pattern on her abdomen from spreading, Ye Yu decides to calm her down.

‘Don’t be afraid. My wife and I are good people and won’t hurt you.’

Ye Yu sends this message not with her voice but with her thoughts, wanting to test if this telepathy is two-way. However, she is surprised when, the moment her thought is sent, the demon girl’s reaction is dramatic. Like a hostage rescued by the police from a criminal, she lifts her fair head to look at Ye Yu, her voice quivering with tears and disbelief.

‘Old Man, is what you said true? You and your wife really won’t hurt me?’

Tang Yue, who has been observing You Baili since the beginning, feels a surge of anger when she hears Ye Yu’s question. After all, this demon girl is completely nude and natural. Although Ye Yu is now a girl and has been verified by Tang Yue as genuine, Tang Yue, as a girl and Ye Yu’s wife, still feels possessive and doesn’t want her ‘husband’ to see other girls’ bodies.

However, as Tang Yue is about to extinguish the small fire at her feet to dim the light, she suddenly hears the demon girl speak her second sentence since their encounter.

‘Old Man, is what you said true? You and your wife really won’t hurt me?’

With these words from the demon girl, Tang Yue is momentarily confused. Did time stop? Or did she lose her hearing? Even though both are right in front of her and haven’t communicated at all, the demon girl suddenly says this. How are you two openly communicating in front of me?

Although Tang Yue doesn’t understand the mechanism, she feels a strange weight on her head and her pink, fair fists clench tighter. Harder, harder, her fists are tight!!!
