A vast forest, a dreary sky,
Drops of a light drizzle pattered down, tapping on the leaves and creating a crisp sound. Occasionally, a night crow would caw, breaking the eerie atmosphere. Such a setting seemed perfect for a horror movie.
But this eerie mood was abruptly shattered by the appearance of a slender, delicate figure. The girl’s every movement with her refined, white silk feet would trigger a roar from the white tiger in the forest.
Unlike the intimidating roars of a demon, these roars carried a hint of pleasure.
Rustle…rustle…
Perched on a massive old tree, Huangpu Pingqing watched as Ye Yu stood below, his white silk foot pressing on the white tiger. The tiger was writhing in pleasure, much like a pampered cat at home. It purred and rubbed against Ye Yu, its movements full of affection.
Seeing this harmless scene, Huangpu Pingqing finally mustered the courage to climb down from the tree. After all, the tree was quite dirty due to the birds’ nests.
As she carefully made her way down, Huangpu Pingqing couldn’t help but feel a mix of curiosity and confusion about Ye Yu’s abilities. She wondered not only about the enhancement mechanism of his female attire but also about why his skin had improved, his hair grown longer, and the subtle scent that now surrounded him. Why was the white tiger kneeling before him, or rather, before his short skirt?
A series of questions swirled in her mind, fueling her curiosity.
The tree trunk, damp from the rain, felt slicker than usual. Huangpu Pingqing’s mind flashed back to the embarrassing moment when her underwear had gotten tangled with Ye Yu’s during their climb. Her cheeks flushed, and her movements slowed.
It took her five minutes to finally reach the ground. In that time, Ye Yu, with his heightened agility from the female attire, had kicked the white tiger numerous times in frustration.
Initially, his kicks were fueled by anger at the tiger for eating his male clothing. But later, he softened his blows, using them to test his theory. The complete set of the ‘Qingqu’ female attire had a special effect—’Be My Cat!’ In battle, each successful attack increased the enemy’s affection by three points (six points if wearing white stockings!).
Intrigued, Ye Yu wondered what would happen if he maxed out the affection points.
Under his relentless attacks, the white tiger’s initial ferocity had disappeared. Its large, fierce eyes now held only gentleness and obedience. The sharp claws that had once menacingly extended were now retracted, like those of a docile kitten.
When Ye Yu stepped on it with his white silk shoe, the tiger affectionately licked his foot. The once pristine white silk was now slightly sticky from the tiger’s saliva.
The white tiger seemed unsatisfied with just licking his foot and began to move upward, its tongue trailing along Ye Yu’s leg. The white silk, once pure and innocent, now shimmered with a hint of seduction. Ye Yu’s porcelain-like cheeks flushed pink, and even his hidden earlobes glistened with a subtle sheen.
Watching this, Tang Yue, holding her blood whip, smiled mischievously. ‘So, my little husband Ye Yu has such a cute weakness, huh?’
But seeing the tiger’s affectionate behavior, she still stepped forward, ready to pull the tiger away. Just as she was about to move, Huangpu Pingqing called out from behind her,
‘Ye Yu, since the white tiger is so affectionate with you, why don’t you try to form a contract with it?’
Huangpu Pingqing was referring to a contract similar to capturing monsters in online games. In the basic spells of Yunqi Academy, it was known as ‘Summoning Magic,’ a simple spell that even non-awakened humans could learn.
While easy to learn, successfully forming a contract was rare. Unlike games where players could forcefully capture and tame monsters with high levels or artifacts, real-life contract beasts were sentient beings.
The most crucial step in forming a contract was building affection. Contract beasts were inherently submissive, and humans were in a dominant position. However, demons and humans lacked a common language, and demons had an innate resistance to submission.
This created a problem: demons found it hard to accept their subordinate role during the contract process. They often became aggressive and might even fight back, leading to failure in nine out of ten attempts.
Those who successfully overcame the affection barrier usually contracted harmless pets like Huangpu Pingqing’s cat. Others often captured demon cubs from a young age, using familial bonds to succeed.
Now, seeing the white tiger’s excessive affection for Ye Yu, the biggest hurdle—affection—had been overcome. That’s why Huangpu Pingqing suggested the contract.
Ye Yu, who was desperately holding the tiger’s head to stop it from licking, brightened at the idea. ‘Having a white tiger as a pet sounds great!’
But he quickly added, ‘But hey, you naughty tiger, stop licking already! You’re a cat, not a dog, you know!’
