Chapter 34: The Hunted and the Heroine (Dad)

Hiss, hiss, hiss

In the dense forest, dozens of serpentine demons had suddenly appeared.

They were bizarrely shaped. Some slithered on the ground, their streamlined bodies writhing like snakes, while others wove through the thick tree trunks. Still more glided through the air, small wings spread from their flanks.

As they pursued, they intermittently let out sharp, serpentine hisses.

The sound alone was enough to send shivers down one’s spine.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh~

Ye Yu, riding atop the White Demon Tiger, listened to the teeth-chattering shrieks from behind them.

His already fair face turned utterly pale.

Part of his pallor stemmed from the serpentine bodies of the pursuing demons, a sight his physiology simply couldn’t accept. However, a larger factor was the presence of Senior Yang Wei among the pursuing demons.

Recalling Yang Wei’s recent display of chauvinistic bravado, Ye Yu couldn’t even imagine the torment he would suffer if he fell into his hands.

The thought of such a physical and emotional assault, a blow to both his body and dignity, spurred him. Under the combined influence of intense self-preservation and a fierce desire to maintain his dignity, he urged the White Demon Tiger to sprint with all its might.

The White Demon Tiger, a mid-tier feral beast, possessed immense physical strength.

Even while galloping at full speed along the unpaved mountain paths through the forest, carrying Ye Yu, Tang Yue, and Huangpu Pingqing, its pace was several times faster than the bus they had arrived in.

Seeing the White Demon Tiger’s full-speed escape, Yang Wei, who was manipulating the ‘demons’ behind the trio, flashed a look of surprise.

Even now, he couldn’t comprehend how Ye Yu had managed to contract with this White Demon Tiger.

However, this fleeting curiosity quickly twisted into a playful smirk at the corner of his lips.

After all, Ye Yu’s ability didn’t matter. He wouldn’t escape today, regardless!

In truth, if Yang Wei had wanted to, he could have used the demons to capture Ye Yu and his companions immediately, either when the bus was first attacked or while Ye Yu was taming the White Demon Tiger.

His hesitation in seizing them at the first opportunity stemmed from careful consideration.

Chief among his concerns was being discovered by others while capturing Ye Yu. After all, collaborating with demons was an incredibly outlandish act.

If he were to rashly capture Ye Yu and be seen by other passengers, he believed the consequences would far outweigh any gains.

As a member of the ‘Fool’ organization, he had committed numerous misdeeds over time. Several young women had even lost their lives due to his ‘Hot-Blooded’ ability.

Therefore, Yang Wei had only rushed here after dealing with the bus passengers.

As for why he hadn’t ambushed Ye Yu and the others earlier, Yang Wei glanced at the nearly twenty Gray Dragon Demons provided by ‘Purple Card’ Elder Gu, who was now chasing alongside him.

He recalled Elder Gu’s instructions: Ye Yu must be brought to Dragon Leap Valley ‘healthy,’ after which he could be dealt with as Yang Wei pleased.

Yang Wei curved his lips into a smile and touched the vertical flute hidden in his sleeve, subtly controlling the Gray Dragon Demons’ speed and invisibly guiding the White Demon Tiger’s route.

With everything proceeding according to plan—the group on the White Demon Tiger (his prey) even arriving at the destination a few minutes faster than anticipated—the depraved aura in Yang Wei’s lewd gaze grew increasingly potent.

‘Heh heh, once they reach Dragon Leap Valley, none of you three will escape.’

‘Run, run faster!!!’

Roar

A distressed tiger’s roar, urgent and desperate, erupted in the forest.

Howl

The next moment, a pair of canine demons, instinctively clinging to each other beneath a large tree in the middle of the forest path, were violently slammed into.

They were sent flying, letting out a pained whimper as they collided.

Seeing the canine demons hurled dozens of meters away, and the pursuers slightly falling back, Ye Yu felt a moment of relief.

If not for Huangpu Pingqing’s suggestion to contract with this White Demon Tiger, he couldn’t imagine how he would have escaped their grasp now.

Just as Ye Yu began to relax a little, Tang Yue, seated in front of him, furrowed her delicate brows and looked behind them.

As an apprentice demon hunter, Tang Yue had often dealt with various demons.

While the types of demons she had encountered weren’t extensive, and she was seeing these gray-white pursuers for the first time today, her experience in battling demons allowed her to observe certain details.

From the expressions on the faces of the gray-white demons, it seemed they weren’t exerting their full strength.

Initially, Tang Yue had dismissed this as a mere illusion during the chase. However, after the White Demon Tiger carrying them fled to the forest at the foot of ‘Dragon Leap Valley,’ Yang Wei’s visibly relaxed expression confirmed her suspicions.

It was then that Tang Yue realized they had, at some point, become hunted prey, deliberately driven to this location.

Although she didn’t yet understand Yang Wei’s full intentions, Tang Yue still wanted to share her discovery with Ye Yu as a precaution.

“Husband, they… seem to be… herding us towards… the mountain peak!”

The White Demon Tiger’s speed was immense, and the mountain wind howled fiercely.

Despite their close proximity, Ye Yu didn’t immediately catch Tang Yue’s words.

Just as he was about to ask her to repeat herself, a furious roar, shaking heaven and earth, suddenly resounded from above the mountain forest.

Compared to this profound sound, the White Demon Tiger’s earlier roar beneath Ye Yu was like the low murmur of a kitten.

The sound wave was so deafening that countless birds flying in the sky plummeted to the ground. Even the mid-tier White Demon Tiger was affected, its steps faltering, its limbs trembling slightly as if drunk.

Huangpu Pingqing, a delicate and frail healer seated in front of it, was directly knocked unconscious by the overwhelming sound wave from the monstrous roar. Fortunately, Tang Yue was behind her, preventing her from falling to the ground.

Ye Yu, dressed in women’s clothes, covered his ears. Though he had many strength and agility bonuses, it still took him a long time to recover from the sonic assault.

However, upon regaining his senses, Ye Yu was horrified to discover a colossal figure had appeared before him.

It was a behemoth, so massive it could easily be mistaken for a mountain.

This colossal creature was now staring intently at him. Feeling an indescribable pressure, Ye Yu, who was seeing a ‘Monarch-tier’ demon firsthand for the first time in his life, began to tremble uncontrollably.

It was the experience of being targeted by Death itself.

Under Ye Yu’s stunned gaze, the mountain-like demon moved.

Watching its tiger claw, vast as a five-fingered mountain, rise high into the air, Ye Yu momentarily forgot to command the White Demon Tiger to flee.

Instead, he stared blankly as the ‘five-fingered mountain’ descended.

“In the name of Light~”

Just then, a girlish voice, imbued with dazzling light, suddenly exploded against that ‘five-fingered mountain.’

Witnessing the miraculous light barrier descend before his eyes, Ye Yu’s peach blossom eyes flickered with confusion.

Then, he dazedly turned his head towards the source of the light.

There, standing in mid-air, was a magical girl with twin pigtails, wearing white stockings adorned with sexy blue ribbons, radiating love and justice with an adorable charm—his own father.

At this moment, Ye Yu’s delicate cherry lips unconsciously parted, revealing a look of shock wide enough to fit an egg.

Part of his astonishment was the joy of escaping disaster.

But more than that, seeing a real-life magical girl, Ye Yu found it utterly impossible to connect this image with his everyday father!

As Ye Yu stood in shock, Ye Changqing, who had transformed into a magical girl, was equally stunned.

Ye Changqing knew that the exposure of his magical girl secret might be related to Ye Yu awakening his ability. He also knew that his son, Ye Yu, would likely inherit some of his forbidden traits through his ability, and he had made various predictions about it.

However, seeing Ye Yu, dressed in women’s clothes just like him, and observing his son’s delicate, small face, skin as smooth as silk, and a slender waist that no boy should possess, Magical Girl Ye Changqing froze in place, his thoughts consumed by two realizations:

‘My son, whom I’ve raised for eighteen years, seems to be turning into a daughter!’

‘And it appears my son is following in my footsteps!’
