Chapter 20: Be Good, Let Sister Wash Your Brain

Xia Qimeng’s voice shifted back into that spellbinding register.

Low and sinuous, it carried a strange resonant frequency.

Each syllable clung to Lu Yiyi’s auditory nerves, impossible to shake free.

Lu Yiyi instinctively tilted her head back, meeting those eyes.

The moment their gazes locked, she couldn’t look away.

Those eyes really were beautiful…

Pure black at the base, yet they refracted kaleidoscopic lights.

From a distance, she had only glimpsed faint shimmering colors.

But now, from this close, looking up, all those colors came alive.

Purple, blue, red, orange…

The glows swirled and spun in the depths of her pupils, forming a brilliant rainbow vortex that threatened to suck her soul in.

“Right, just like that… good girl… relax…”

Xia Qimeng pulled her right hand back from the door panel and cupped Lu Yiyi’s cheeks with both hands.

Her thumbs pressed against Lu Yiyi’s temples, applying a specific pressure in rhythmic circles.

“Look into my eyes… empty your mind…”

Lu Yiyi’s breathing slowed, and the edges of her vision blurred.

Her head felt empty, unable to think.

Instinct alone kept her gaze fixed on those shimmering irises.

“You just need to relax, Yiyi… you’re so tired…”

Xia Qimeng leaned closer until their noses touched.

In Lu Yiyi’s unfocused pupils, the strange glow swelled larger.

The purple halo spread first, soothing her mind.

Her tense shoulders sagged, and her hands hung limp at her sides.

All her doubts about time passing strangely, all her confusion about the gap in her memory, were smoothed away by that purple light.

Then came a deep blue, pulling her down into a soft ocean.

The water was warm, fragrant with flowers, cradling her limbs and draining the strength from her thoughts.

A flash of red: the command of absolute obedience.

The deep doors of her subconscious were pried open, waiting for their master to install new rules.

Finally, a warm orange baked the freshly woven commands into shape, fitting them seamlessly into her mind.

“Yiyi, you feel comfortable now, relaxed… You trust me completely, don’t you?”

Xia Qimeng coaxed in a soft, melodic tone, her voice crawling along Lu Yiyi’s eardrums into her nerves, smoothing away the last ripples of wariness.

Lu Yiyi’s eyelids grew heavy.

Her long lashes drooped, and her gaze lost all focus.

Every question in her mind was wiped clean, leaving only boundless softness and peace.

She didn’t need to think about complicated matters.

She just needed to follow this person’s arrangements.

“Yes… I’m comfortable… relaxed… I trust Miss Xia completely…”

She murmured dreamily, her voice so soft it threatened to dissolve into the air.

“Yiyi is such a good girl… You haven’t forgotten anything…”

Xia Qimeng continued the hypnosis, her fingers circling Lu Yiyi’s temples in a steady rhythm.

“It’s just because you love being with me so much. Chatting with me makes you so happy, so time seemed to pass quickly.”

“Isn’t there a saying? ‘Happy times always fly by.'”

Under hypnosis, Lu Yiyi was utterly charmed.

Right.

Happy times always pass quickly.

Time naturally flies when you meet a kindred spirit.

She had finally found someone who understood her, talked so much they forgot the time.

Perfectly normal.

“Yes, I love being with Miss Xia so much…” she repeated in a murmur, her lips parting slightly. “Happy times pass so quickly…”

“Good girl.”

Xia Qimeng praised her softly, deep amusement flowing in her eyes.

This one-sided game of control gave her an addictive pleasure.

Watching a living soul be kneaded and shaped in her hands into exactly what she wanted was more satisfying than any pastime.

But that alone wasn’t enough.

Merely patching up logical loopholes was too conservative.

What she wanted was absolute obedience, a heart and eyes full of love, to become the sole center around which Yiyi’s world revolved.

Xia Qimeng tilted her head and pressed a gentle kiss to Lu Yiyi’s flushed cheek.

The touch was soft and warm.

Her floral scent spread over that patch of skin, leaving a possessive mark.

“Obedient children get rewards like this.”

Xia Qimeng pulled back half an inch.

“Does Yiyi want a reward?”

Lu Yiyi was dazed from the kiss.

The lingering warmth on her cheek became the sole focus of her perception.

That kiss brought not just the sensation of skin against skin, but a full sense of safety that filled the emptiness in her heart.

She wanted more.

She wanted to be embraced, to be touched, to feel the warmth of being completely accepted.

“Want… reward…”

Lu Yiyi’s eyes were dull, and her body instinctively leaned forward.

“Then you have to be a good girl.”

Xia Qimeng kneaded her soft cheek, her tone no longer gentle but commanding.

“You have to listen to me in everything. Whatever I say, you do. That’s how you get rewards.”

Lu Yiyi’s lashes trembled, the focus in her pupils completely gone.

“I’ll be good… listen to you… listen to you about everything…” she repeated mechanically.

Xia Qimeng studied the masterpiece before her with satisfaction.

Visual induction reached a depth of hypnosis far beyond mere scent and verbal suggestion.

Now, this little rabbit’s logic had been completely rewritten.

Next, she needed to resolve the core problem.

Rather than painstakingly fabricating false memories to fill that five-hour gap, it was better to remove the root.

Filling in memories always left cracks, details that couldn’t be covered.

Redirecting the conflict, directly controlling her not to think about the issue, was the perfect solution.

“Yiyi, you don’t need to dwell on those insignificant details. It’s not important. You’re not interested in it, and you don’t want to think about it.”

Xia Qimeng’s voice turned ethereal, piercing straight to the soul.

“The only thing that matters to you is me.”

She extended her index finger and tapped lightly between Lu Yiyi’s eyebrows.

“Time spent with me is happy and safe. You want to see me every day, and when you can’t, you can’t help but miss me.”

“Yes… I don’t dwell… not interested…”

Lu Yiyi echoed weakly, a blush of shame creeping over her cheeks.

“I only care about Miss Xia… I want to see Miss Xia every day… when I can’t… I miss her…”

As those words left her mouth, even the floral scent in the air grew cloying.

Xia Qimeng’s brows relaxed.

She released Lu Yiyi’s cheeks and instead wrapped her arms around her slender waist, pulling her into a firm embrace.

“Now that’s a good girl.”

Xia Qimeng patted her back lightly.

“Now, close your eyes and take a deep breath.”

Lu Yiyi obeyed, her long lashes meeting, her chest rising and falling in rhythm.

“When I count down to one, you’ll wake up.”

Xia Qimeng gave the final command in her ear.

“You won’t worry about those troublesome details anymore. You’ll just leave work cheerfully, looking forward to seeing me tomorrow.”
