Since others hadn’t yet escaped their predicament, Bai Yu decided to send Cecilia another message, asking for an update.
After all, while Bai Yu and Cecilia were immersed in this singularly unique dream world, everyone else was merely trapped within ordinary dreams.
For the others, it was simply a common dream, yet for Bai Yu and Cecilia, it felt no less real than an actual world experience.
Before long, Bai Yu indeed received Cecilia’s reply, confirming that she, too, had managed to escape the dream world.
Having assured Cecilia of her safety, Bai Yu promptly put away her phone, as she still had much to attend to.
Bai Yu then draped her own clothes over Lu Xingyao.
However, as Bai Yu drew near, Lu Xingyao unexpectedly embraced her.
“Hehe, Xiao Yu…”
“Eh? Xingyao, are you awake?”
This startled Bai Yu, who leaned closer to examine Lu Xingyao’s face.
She found Lu Xingyao’s eyes still closed; she was merely talking in her sleep.
“Good, good.”
Bai Yu exhaled in relief, though she couldn’t quite pinpoint the source of her apprehension. ‘Was it because I’ve been secretly seeking out other girls behind Xingyao’s back?’ she wondered.
Gently, Bai Yu disengaged herself from Lu Xingyao’s embrace, then carefully positioned her against the vehicle’s seatback.
She mused on the car’s truly superior defensive capabilities, wishing she could afford one herself someday, though she doubted she’d ever amass such wealth.
“Xiao Yu, kiss…”
Resting against the seatback, Lu Xingyao continued to babble incoherently in her sleep.
Bai Yu stared, speechless, at Lu Xingyao’s drooling face, momentarily tempted to just punch her on the head.
“Just what kind of dreams are you having, huh?!”
A blush crept up Bai Yu’s face, yet she still secretly leaned in and pecked Lu Xingyao softly on the cheek.
After all, she needed to spread her affections equally now.
Without lingering, and after confirming no immediate dangers lurked near the vehicle, Bai Yu stepped out.
While still under the effects of Divine Radiance, she intended to confront Lili face-to-face.
“Moweila, how many minutes are left for Divine Radiance?”
[Approximately 11 minutes. Morpheus should be atop that thin membrane in the sky. Besides her, there are three other powerful presences, which I perceive to be human.]
[It appears they’ve encountered some trouble; some things Morpheus summoned seem to be giving them a hard time.]
Moweila remarked with a hint of mockery, utterly indifferent to the plight of those humans.
In her view, a weak species like humanity deserved such treatment.
Bai Yu, however, felt a bit speechless; having been an ordinary human herself not long ago, she found such words impossible to utter.
“Do they need help? And how am I supposed to get up there?”
Bai Yu gazed at the membrane in the sky, realizing it would require exceptionally powerful flight capabilities to reach.
This altitude surpassed even that of conventional airplanes.
[I told you before, you should regularly check the abilities you’ve acquired. Must I always act as a system and report them to you?]
Moweila said helplessly, though she eventually recited them.
[Acquired Divine Art: Fantasy World]
[Acquired Primal Arcane Art: Shadow Beast Summon]
“Divine Art! What is this?”
Bai Yu sensed a power within her unlike any other, its aura strikingly similar to the dream world she had entered.
[Because you held ownership of the dream world, at the moment of its collapse, everything within that world transformed into this ability.]
[As for why it’s a Divine Art, its capabilities far exceed those of ordinary Primal Arcane Arts.]
Even without Moweila’s explanation, Bai Yu understood this instinctively, for she could already sense the immense power contained within this ability.
For one, all the magic she remembered could be perfectly replicated through this new power.
Her only regret now was that her past self hadn’t been more powerful, allowing her to learn even stronger magic.
[However, you needn’t worry about that. The strength with which you utilize Fantasy World in the real world depends on your rank and spiritual energy, so even if you learned high-level magic, it wouldn’t be of much use.]
“I see, then I’m relieved.”
[This ability is not so simple. You are currently unable to unleash its full potential. It merely suggests that the Outer God truly bestowed much upon you.]
Bai Yu nodded, understanding that this was precisely why she needed to confront Lili and get all her questions answered.
She immediately activated [Fantasy World], selecting the Levitation spell.
Originally, this ability would only allow her to float less than a meter off the ground.
However, being in a state of Divine Radiance, the moment she unleashed this ability, Bai Yu shot upwards like a cannonball, rocketing towards the membrane high in the sky.
Bai Yu also remembered to activate [Kin of the Night]; in this state, her physical attributes experienced exponential growth.
Just as she was about to touch the membrane, Bai Yu swept her left hand, tearing through it directly, and surged into the unknown space above.
Contrary to Bai Yu’s expectations, the sky above the membrane was still a vivid crimson, and looking into the distance, she saw it was completely filled with terrifying monsters.
At that moment, the membrane she had pierced beneath her feet rapidly mended itself as if alive.
Bai Yu merely glanced at it before retracting her gaze.
“What are these monsters?”
Bai Yu recognized them as resembling the Twin-Blade Weavers she had defeated in the dream, but their size was immeasurably larger.
[They appear to be Morpheus’s summoned familiars, intended to stall those humans, though it doesn’t seem like she intends to kill them.]
Upon hearing Moweila’s explanation, Bai Yu looked into the distance, where indeed three humans were locked in a fierce, inseparable battle with the monsters in the sky.
“Are these things really that hard to fight?”
Bai Yu was somewhat surprised; from her current perspective, these monsters were nothing more than a single Silvermoon Slash away from defeat.
[That’s because you are currently in a state of Divine Radiance. Each of these monsters is an existence of Rank 8 or higher, with several even reaching Rank 9. It’s perfectly normal for those three humans to find them difficult to handle.]
“Holy crap, they’re really that strong?”
Bai Yu couldn’t believe it.
Only now did she truly grasp the immense power of Divine Radiance. ‘It’s an invincibility period!’ she thought.
‘I can’t afford to waste any more time,’ she mused, ‘otherwise, once this state ends, I’ll be nothing more than roadside fodder.’
It was still a seemingly ordinary Silvermoon Slash, yet this time Bai Yu poured all her strength into it, taking a good half minute to charge before reluctantly unleashing it.
The moment her hand swept forth, the entire sky erupted, bathed in a brilliant silver light.
In the distance, the three individuals instantly shut their eyes, blinded by the intense flash.
“What’s happening?!”
From her bedroom, Lili watched all this unfold on a screen, a subtle smile playing on her lips, her gaze never leaving the silver-haired girl.
“Master, I truly, truly can’t wait~”
Lili cupped her face in her hands, her cheeks flushed, and directed a hazy, captivated gaze towards Bai Yu.
