Chapter 115: Blushing Fantasies and Preparations for a Winged Future

Observing Stella’s peaceful slumber, Bai Yu quietly exited her room, carefully relocating her luggage to the adjoining one.

“Ah, it seems the number of girls around me keeps growing…”

Bai Yu couldn’t fathom why her appeal to women had surged so dramatically since becoming a Witch; it felt as though every adorable girl she encountered wished to cling to her.

What’s more, none of them were troublesome; Bai Yu found herself utterly incapable of refusing their affection.

‘Never mind,’ she thought.

Bai Yu shook her head, resigning herself to the fact that, given the circumstances, she was destined to speed down the path of a lily ‘scum girl’.

‘Things will sort themselves out when they come to it,’ she mused, ‘I can only hope the impending ‘shuraba’ won’t be too intensely chaotic, and that I won’t end up utterly drained.’

Furthermore, Bai Yu felt a profound embarrassment at the thought of discussing Stella’s situation with her Mother, knowing that such a revelation would undoubtedly lead to an awkward predicament for all involved.

Especially concerning Stella, it could very well cause her Mother’s perception of the girl to deteriorate even further.

Her Mother might even come to believe Stella was a villain, intent on abducting her own daughter.

Such an outcome was undesirable, prompting Bai Yu to dutifully maintain her silence.

For the time being, this arrangement suited them well, as Stella posed no significant inconvenience to Bai Yu.

She could simply consider Stella a devoted little follower, albeit one who happened to be in the form of an older sister.

As for Stella’s suggestive remarks about ‘warming the bed’ and the like, Bai Yu insisted her heart hadn’t fluttered in the slightest!

‘Absolutely not!’

Despite her fervent denial, Bai Yu’s face flushed crimson as her mind, quite against her will, began conjuring up such ‘special’ scenarios.

After all, even though she and Stella weren’t intimately acquainted, Stella was simply too… too generously proportioned.

Whenever Stella’s alluring form became subtly apparent, Bai Yu found herself instinctively swallowing, a secret desire stirring within her to simply bury her face in that ample softness.

Yet, constrained by her inherent modesty, Bai Yu knew such depraved acts were utterly beyond her.

Regrettably, she was destined to spend less than half a month with Stella, for after that brief period, Bai Yu would depart for the academy.

This prospect filled Bai Yu with a touch of melancholy, as she surmised that if Stella were to return home, enduring a prolonged stay with her own Mother would likely prove even more agonizing.

To see someone every day, yet be unable to express one’s affection, was indeed a rather pitiable fate.

Perhaps she could inquire if the academy might arrange a spot for a companion student.

Considering her perceived importance within the academy, Bai Yu felt confident that securing a small auditing spot would present no real issue.

[When will you finally realize? You should be preparing for the metal’s absorption right now! Quickly, retrieve that scythe!]

Moweila’s voice resounded sharply within Bai Yu’s mind.

Having been dormant there, Moweila was constantly assailed by the ‘yellow waste’ that permeated Bai Yu’s fantasies.

This was far from an isolated incident; each time she drifted into slumber, these sordid images invariably appeared before her.

Such experiences utterly baffled her, for from the moment of her birth until her demise, she had never once encountered anything remotely similar.

Her only exposure to such concepts had been through analogous texts.

The narratives within those books had always struck her as both contemptible and utterly laughable.

Characters depicted in the books would display absurd expressions, driven by primal desires, and utter words she found utterly repulsive.

‘How could this be?’ she’d often thought.

‘Surely the authors of these books are merely fabricating nonsense; reality simply couldn’t be so absurd.’

Therefore, Moweila harbored deep dissatisfaction upon witnessing Bai Yu’s incessant lewd fantasies.

‘As the very glory of the Witch’s revival,’ she fumed, ‘how could one possibly wallow in such base, worldly desires! This is simply unacceptable!’

“What fantasies? Don’t spout such nonsense!” Bai Yu cried out, her voice rising in indignation.

Moweila’s words instantly flustered Bai Yu; how could she possibly utter such accusations?

‘Could Moweila truly perceive her innermost thoughts?’ Bai Yu wondered in alarm.

‘Why had she remained utterly oblivious to this fact until now?’

[That’s merely because I chose not to inform you.

Rest assured, I am intimately aware of every single piece of ‘yellow waste’ festering within your mind!]

Moweila’s tone was laced with disdain; she hardly wished to expose Bai Yu’s explicit thoughts, for even she, a being of vast experience, found herself shaking her head at the sheer impropriety of those shameful fantasies.

She doubted whether Bai Yu’s various ‘girlfriends’ would even be amenable to such peculiar desires, assuming Bai Yu could ever overcome her embarrassment to even voice them.

“Ah, ah, ah! Don’t look!” Bai Yu shrieked, her eyes squeezed shut.

She felt a hundred times worse than if her mother had discovered a hidden stash of ‘questionable’ books beneath her bed.

Her entire being was consumed by an overwhelming mortification.

Her toes curled so tightly they could have dug a three-bedroom apartment into the floor, and not a single part of her remained relaxed or composed.

[Alright, alright.

I hold no interest in your… peculiar proclivities.

You would do well to hasten your preparations for the ritual.]

Moweila ceased her taunts, her sole objective being to accelerate Bai Yu’s growth and enhance her strength.

“Hmph!” Bai Yu huffed, a sound of lingering displeasure.

Dispelling her ‘naughty’ thoughts, Bai Yu began extracting various items from her spatial storage, her earlier huff of dissatisfaction still echoing.

Among these were the instruments pilfered from the Principal of Xian City International High School, alongside three or four other assorted devices of varying sizes, all utterly unfamiliar to Bai Yu.

Regardless, their collective scale was far from negligible.

The Heaven’s Cauldron remained the paramount wondrous item, with the others serving merely to expedite the process or ensure the ritual’s stability.

The sheer quantity of materials was staggering; Bai Yu meticulously sorted them, placing each category into its designated container.

“By the way,” Bai Yu mused aloud, “the ritual won’t involve any explosions or anything, will it?

I’m not sure this cruise ship can withstand such an ordeal…”

A sudden realization struck Bai Yu: she had already witnessed the intense vibrations caused solely by the Heaven’s Cauldron.

If all the components were combined, surely the resulting force would be enough to cause a catastrophic explosion?

It could easily capsize the entire vessel.

[No, it will not.

According to my calculations, once you absorb the Reverse Metal, the inherent power of Heaven will bestow upon you a pair of wings.

In the open sky above the ocean, this will minimize all collateral effects.]

Moweila’s pronouncement caused Bai Yu to jump in alarm.

“Growing wings means I won’t truly be human anymore, doesn’t it?” Bai Yu fretted.

“Will there be any problems?

And what about sleeping?

Won’t I crush them?”

Bai Yu furrowed her brow.

While having wings would undoubtedly grant her the ability to fly, she imagined adapting to such an unusual appendage would be incredibly challenging.

[How could wings possibly be irretractable?

You perpetually fret over such inconsequential matters.

Furthermore, as a Witch, you are no longer strictly human; therefore, possessing wings presents no inherent issue, does it?]

If Moweila possessed a physical form, she would undoubtedly emerge to deliver a sharp rap to Bai Yu’s head.

‘This girl…’

“I was just asking, honestly…” Bai Yu muttered, rolling her eyes.

Having finally extracted every last component, Bai Yu arranged them, occupying a good half of the room.

“On a different note,” Bai Yu pondered, “shouldn’t I inform the Captain?

Wouldn’t it be rather inconvenient if such a massive commotion were to suddenly erupt?”

A tremor of apprehension ran through Bai Yu as she recalled the formidable, stern expression of the elderly Captain.

[Do not bother me with such mundane, worldly affairs.

Apart from you, no other individual holds any significance to me.

In short, your absorption ritual must unequivocally proceed in a few days.]

Moweila spoke with utter detachment, as though the entire world existed independently of her concerns.

“Right, right, right.

So it’s none of your business, is that it?”

Bai Yu’s facial muscles twitched involuntarily.

She couldn’t help but marvel at Moweila’s astonishing ability to utter such brazenly shameless words with such effortless naturalness; her sheer audacity was truly commendable.

‘Truly befitting a Witch who has endured through such a vast expanse of time,’ she thought, half in exasperation, half in reluctant admiration.
