The intense heat and excruciating pain manifested entirely on the Lava Knight’s body, causing him to stumble and fall to the ground.
“A-a-a-ah!!!”
The Lava Knight staggered, collapsing to the ground, his greatsword clattering beside him.
The heavy armor now became an unbearable burden; he felt as though his internal organs were ablaze.
“Why? Why is this happening?”
At this moment, the Lava Knight’s heart was filled with confusion and fury. Why would such flames be effective against him?
He refused to believe it; he was unwilling to accept it.
However, Heaven’s Fire burned without emotion, relentlessly consuming everything of the Lava Knight.

At this moment, the hall was utterly silent.

Life ebbed away, and as the final sword strike fell, no one remained alive in the hall except Bai Yu.
From beginning to end, it had taken only a few minutes.

Bai Yu exhaled, sheathing her weapons.
Even after slaying so many lives, her heart remained calm, without the slightest ripple.
This was good.
Bai Yu turned and slowly left the hall.
Blood congealed in the air, while the perpetrator of it all had vanished without a trace.
