That should do it. My Master must be very pleased, too.
Lili gasped for air, her chest heaving; that whole ordeal had utterly exhausted her.
‘Don’t ask, because if you do, the answer is friction generates heat.’
Bai Yu, beneath her, was too spent to utter a single word, one arm thrown across her eyes as her breath came in ragged gasps.
“I’m… I’m not pleased at all!”
Bai Yu declared, her voice defiant.
“Hehe, you’ve used Tidal Magic so many times, yet Master is still so stubborn.”
Lili revealed her small fangs, a playful sneer gracing her lips as she mocked Bai Yu beneath her.
“Alright, I’ll let Master off the hook this time. I’ll release all those people trapped in the dream now.”
Lili lifted her legs and slid off Bai Yu.
“Oh, right, I forgot to tell Master that those people trapped in the dream were merely knocked unconscious; I didn’t use any special illusions on them. That’s one way I’m different from Master, hehe.”
Lili said with a smile, acknowledging that ordinary humans are quite fragile and could easily suffer brain death or be reduced to imbeciles.
While she herself cared little for their fates, she had spared them to prevent Bai Yu from feeling any guilt.
“Then, until next time, Master. I had a wonderful time this round. Next time we meet, Master should get stronger quickly, or else you and Lili will be together in the dream forever~”
Lili gave Bai Yu one last kiss, then reluctantly began to straighten her clothes.
Only after ensuring Bai Yu’s attire was perfectly in place did Lili finally relax; she certainly didn’t want anyone else to see her Master.
Bai Yu, at last, began to recover, having been utterly overwhelmed by Lili’s torments.
Her body felt weightless as she slowly floated out from the narrow crevice.
She then drifted into the bedroom.
By this point, an indeterminate amount of time had passed.
Bai Yu’s Divine Radiance state had long since concluded, leaving her body incredibly weak.
Due to her numerous “battles” with Lili, she now possessed very little strength.
Hovering thousands of meters above the ground, she nearly lost control and plummeted earthward.
Her current state allowed her to employ only the most rudimentary Levitation magic from her Fantasy World abilities, barely enough to prevent her from falling to her death; anything more complex was utterly beyond her.
Consequently, Bai Yu was trembling, unsure how she would manage to descend.
Above, the blood-red sky had transformed into a clear azure, the nerve-like tendrils vanishing in an instant, and the membrane that had previously veiled the heavens was gone.
It was as if none of it had ever existed.
From the distant ground below, a cacophony of sounds began to rise.
It seemed those who had fainted were now stirring, and soon enough, the city would surely resume its normal rhythm.
Bai Yu glanced around, noting Lili’s absence, which sparked a faint flicker of disappointment within her.
“Ah, well, no matter what, this farce has finally concluded. Yet, I still haven’t figured out Lili’s true intentions.”
Bai Yu sighed, then noticed three individuals from the Dragon Summer Investigation Bureau, who had been mere background figures throughout the entire ordeal, flying towards her.
“Divine Favored!”
The three of them were visibly thrilled.
The very moment Bai Yu appeared, all the manifestations caused by the Outer God’s invasion vanished entirely.
Even the city had reverted to its original state, which could only mean Bai Yu had successfully repelled the Outer God!
“Divine Favored, have you truly repelled the Outer God? You seem… unwell.”
The Captain, one of the three, inquired respectfully.
“I fought with all my might and finally triumphed, yet the divine power within me has been utterly depleted. At this moment, my strength is completely gone.”
Bai Yu displayed a look of profound weakness, prompting the three to immediately urge her to descend and rest.
“Divine Favored, do you require our assistance?”
Bai Yu quickly nodded, then pointed a finger towards the sole female member of their group.
They understood instantly.
The female member swiftly embraced Bai Yu and began making haste towards the Dragon Summer Investigation Bureau in Xian City.
The other two followed close behind.
They comprehended Bai Yu’s actions, having long detected an inexplicable aversion in her gaze towards them, though she had never overtly shown it.
They, too, expressed their understanding; after all, it was only natural for a Divine Favored individual to possess certain peculiarities.
Moreover, as the hero who had saved Xian City, how could they possibly raise an objection?
Bai Yu, for her part, had remained silent.
In truth, she was merely spiritually exhausted, and was currently busy sending messages one by one on her phone.
Lu Xingyao, Cecilia, and her ‘cheap’ Mother.
The thought of her Mother left Bai Yu speechless; how could she have kept secrets from her for so long without saying a word?
She wondered what state her Mother was in after fighting with those Hunters of unknown origin.
However, judging by Moweila’s words, there was likely no serious issue, so Bai Yu could only let it go.
In any case, she would soon arrive at the Dragon Summer Investigation Bureau, where she would instruct them to dispatch support immediately.
After all, she had directly repelled a god this time, with three ostensibly unremarkable “big shots” as witnesses.
Despite that, she was undeniably a major contributor.
The Dragon Summer Investigation Bureau, being an official organization, would surely provide immediate assistance in such circumstances.
On her phone, both Lu Xingyao and Cecilia had already replied, though her ‘cheap’ Mother remained silent.
Lu Xingyao, in particular, was bombarding her with messages on Green Bubble, quickly reaching an overwhelming number.
Bai Yu simply sent back an emoji.
She had told Lu Xingyao countless times that she was fine, and now Bai Yu was too weary to bother with her further.
Cecilia, on the other hand, was much calmer.
She remained the same icy campus beauty Bai Yu remembered, yet this particular flower had been thoroughly devoured by her.
Bai Yu secretly rejoiced, utterly oblivious that the person holding her was secretly peeking at her phone.
Mo Lan observed the content on Bai Yu’s phone, secretly relishing the drama unfolding before her.
‘What a joke! Even if she was a Rank Nine expert, how could she possibly lack a heart for juicy gossip?’
As she perused Bai Yu’s chat history, she realized the girl in her arms was not only a lesbian but also a bit of a player, maintaining such relationships with two different girls simultaneously.
‘So, even Divine Favored individuals could harbor such thoughts! No wonder she disliked men; in that light, everything made perfect sense.’
Mo Lan’s curiosity about the girl in her arms intensified, and this newfound insight made her feel closer to Bai Yu.
Before this, Bai Yu’s status as a Divine Favored had always created a thick barrier between them.
Bai Yu did not immediately notice Mo Lan prying into her chat history.
It was only after a moment that she realized she was currently being held.
She quickly turned her head, only to see Mo Lan avert her gaze abruptly.
“Hey! Did you just see all that?!”
Bai Yu was furious, her expression turning fierce, even her fangs glinting.
She was now filled with immense regret, wishing she hadn’t been so hasty in replying to those messages.
