Chapter 87: The Grand Haul and a Passionate Reunion

Phew, I’ll just take these back for the time being.

Lacking air conditioning in this storage room, Bai Yu simply used ‘Fantasy World’ to conjure several ice ball spells, cooling the room down.

‘Fantasy World’ truly proved useful, yet it was almost entirely comprised of offensive magic, making it rather one-dimensional.

Indeed, whether in the dream world or reality, her guiding principle remained: offense is king.

And this was undeniably true; in the world of Arcanists, offensive arcana were traditionally the most challenging to acquire.

Moreover, all arcana were notoriously difficult to obtain, especially the versatile ones accessible to anyone, each valued at its weight in gold.

This was precisely why the Arcanist profession was known for being a money pit.

Such formidable power always came with a hefty price.

Bai Yu placed the items from the storage room into various wondrous artifacts, then nestled these larger storage-type artifacts within her bracelet.

By nesting them this way, she could accommodate an even greater volume of items.

She truly was a genius.

To prevent any confusion, she even took the time to categorize the items.

Bai Yu felt an undeniable surge of self-admiration, convinced of her own genius.

Furthermore, this ingenious nesting method not only allowed her to clear out the entire storage room, but Bai Yu also left no stone unturned in the library, completely plundering its contents.

Wherever she went, she left nothing behind, taking everything with her.

Following that, Bai Yu began to wander through the school, aware that beyond the personal belongings she had already claimed, many other valuable items still remained.

As an international high school, luxury was a given, and Bai Yu was certainly not one to overlook such opportunities; she meticulously scoured the premises from top to bottom, making off with every valuable possession.

Even if she hadn’t taken them, these items would ultimately have been left to waste, and with the Director having already granted her permission, Bai Yu saw no reason to hold back.

To be frank, she was currently quite short on Dragon Summer Coins, and these acquisitions would perfectly fill that void, as purchasing equipment and various other necessities required currency; she couldn’t simply conjure money out of thin air, could she?

Asking directly would have felt awkward, so taking matters into her own hands seemed a more fitting approach, effectively turning it into an indirect reward of funds from the Dragon Summer Investigation Bureau.

Perhaps they had anticipated her reluctance to ask outright, thus opting for this method.

Bai Yu didn’t dwell on it further, relentlessly stuffing items into her storage artifacts, from one end to the other, from the sports field to the academic buildings.

Ultimately, only when her entire collection of storage artifacts could hold no more did Bai Yu finally make her way home.

Remarkably, she had managed to carry everything away with just a single bracelet, thanks entirely to her ingenious nesting technique.

“What a delightful haul!”

Bai Yu beamed a joyful smile, her cowlick swaying playfully; she had truly enjoyed this acquisition spree.

It was utterly gratifying; she never would have imagined such a bountiful day for herself before.

It was truly an extraordinary turn of events.

After leaving the school, she casually locked the gate, knowing that if this abandoned institution offered no further utility, Bai Yu would never return.

After all, she held no fond memories of this place—this particular occasion being the sole exception.

Just as Bai Yu considered hailing a Didi ride, a white car pulled up beside her.

The window rolled down, revealing a face Bai Yu knew intimately well.

It was none other than Cecilia.

Unlike the Cecilia Bai Yu had known before, her demeanor had grown considerably more composed after the events in the dream world, imbued now with a distinct air of heroism.

Indeed, her experiences as a Knight Captain had profoundly transformed Cecilia, blossoming her beyond the aloof “high-mountain flower” she once was.

“Cecilia?!”

Bai Yu’s eyes widened; she had expected Cecilia to return only tomorrow, especially since Lu Xingyao had just departed…

Cecilia seemed rather too eager, didn’t she?

‘Could this be why she’s here?!’

‘And… in her current state, she looked more like someone sneaking a forbidden snack! She absolutely wasn’t!’

‘She was indulging openly, not sneaking around! They were all her wings!’

Bai Yu screamed these protests internally, yet her flushed cheeks betrayed her completely.

Seizing the moment while Bai Yu was still dazed, Cecilia stepped out of the car and immediately pressed a kiss upon Bai Yu’s lips.

Without a moment’s hesitation or regard for Bai Yu’s struggles, she pulled her directly into the car.

“I missed you so much…”

Cecilia pressed Bai Yu against the seat.

They were in the spacious back row.

“Mmfff!!!”

With her mouth instantly sealed, Bai Yu struggled frantically, yet remained utterly unable to escape Cecilia’s grasp.

After several futile attempts, Bai Yu eventually gave up, realizing she was utterly powerless against the already Fourth-Tier Cecilia.

Moreover, Cecilia possessed the [Knight] spiritual core, granting her exceptionally powerful physical enhancements.

A bitter lament filled Bai Yu’s heart: ‘I was already so strong, so why did I always end up beneath someone else?’

Cecilia, however, did not immediately proceed; instead, she pressed a button within the car.

Immediately, curtains drew across the windows, completely obscuring all the glass.

For the first time, Cecilia truly appreciated the foresight of adding this feature when she purchased the car.

It was practically invincible.

Though her car windows were already tinted for privacy, she still wasn’t entirely at ease; she couldn’t bear the thought of Bai Yu being seen by anyone, even for a fleeting moment.

As the car interior plunged into sudden darkness, Bai Yu’s heart began to pound, a vague premonition of what was to come stirring within her.

Just as she had anticipated, Cecilia immediately became rather bold; it seemed Lu Xingyao’s presence these past few days had indeed been a source of considerable frustration for Cecilia.

This fervent taking was Cecilia’s retribution, a retaliation against Bai Yu, the irresponsible little flirt.

“Ah~”

Bai Yu let out a small, cat-like sound, her tension palpable.

The car’s excellent soundproofing meant there was no fear of any internal sounds being heard, allowing Cecilia to relax completely and unleash her full prowess!

Concurrently, this also signified…

“Your Royal Highness~”

Cecilia’s voice drifted into Bai Yu’s ear, a clear indication of her immense satisfaction with the situation.

She even subtly blew warm air into Bai Yu’s ear, sending a ticklish sensation through her.

Bai Yu felt on the verge of fainting from sheer embarrassment; ‘Had I known this would happen, I wouldn’t have been so audacious earlier.’

“Ah! How utterly mortifying!”

Bai Yu covered her face, mortified that such a humiliating scene was laid bare for Cecilia to witness.

Cecilia, however, gently pulled Bai Yu’s hands away, compelling her to look at her.

“No, no!”

Bai Yu struggled, her small feet flailing wildly, yet it was all in vain as Cecilia effortlessly caught them in her hand.

“Ah!!”

Bai Yu’s shoes were removed, leaving only her small, adorably cute feet encased in white over-the-knee socks, like tiny popsicles.

A faint, milky fragrance, uniquely Bai Yu’s, wafted up, drawing Cecilia closer irresistibly.

It even made her want to truly savor those “popsicles.”

However, she managed to restrain herself; such indulgences were best reserved for when Bai Yu was asleep, lest her actions compromise her image in Bai Yu’s eyes.

Cecilia would never do anything that might cause Bai Yu to dislike her.
