Fleeing from debt collectors, Yoonwoo moves with his mother to a remote countryside town where they have no connections.

Just adapting to the unfamiliar environment is overwhelming enough.
At school, he becomes the target of malicious bullying simply because he’s the new transfer student.

At a time when he wished someone—anyone—would help him…
or, if not help, at least pretend not to see him—

“Are you okay? Are you hurt?”

For the first time, a boy reaches out his hand to him.

Yoon Heesung.

The boy with the familiar name turns out to be the youngest son of the villa at the far end of the beach, where Yoonwoo’s mother works.

‘He seems strange… but maybe he’s a good person.’

As Yoonwoo spends more time staying at Heesung’s villa,
he begins to feel a sense of kinship with the “strange yet kind” boy.

Heesung, too, is bullied for being a transfer student.
He seems isolated at school.
Lonely.
Just like him.

Not knowing what name to give this uncontrollable emotion,
the two gradually become each other’s only, most special person.

Until one day—

“…So you’re saying Yoon Heesung beat Lim Namwoo?”
“I told you. That crazy bastard did it.”

Yoonwoo hears troubling rumors that Heesung is involved in the forced transfer of the very student who had relentlessly bullied him.

Despite the wary looks from those around him, Yoonwoo tries not to doubt Heesung—the first person in his life who ever put him first, the one who made him feel like he was someone’s only one.

But—

“You… you’re not really close to Yoon Heesung, are you? You really don’t know anything.”

As more and more incidents involving Heesung come to light, Yoonwoo begins to waver.

Whenever he looks into those pitch-black eyes—like the night sea, impossible to read—he feels lost.

Even as suspicion grows heavier by the day,
Yoonwoo still believes Heesung is a good person.

Or perhaps he simply wants to believe.

Then one day, like a crashing wave, an incident strikes—one that completely overturns the boys’ relationship.

“So you’re going to lie to the very end?”
“……”
“How far do you expect me to keep tolerating you?”

For a moment, Yoonwoo thinks he must have misheard.

“You really make me regret ever being good to you.”

Heesung continues. His words grow faster. Rougher.

“You smile to my face, and then do whatever the hell you want behind my back.”

Heesung grabs him roughly and yanks him forward.

“How many chances do you think I gave you? Every single day was a chance.”

Then why do you keep pushing your luck? It’s irritating.
