Join the ServerShe walked into a secluded alley, ready to transform.
“Magic really is something amazing.” Bai Muxue weighed the sun hat in her hand.
It was an ordinary sun hat at first glance, but after Bai Ye strengthened it, its durability had been greatly boosted.
At the very least, if Bai Muxue didn’t put in real effort, she definitely couldn’t damage it.
“There are even more amazing things, though you’ve never seen them.” Bai Ye said.
“Now then, it’s time to pick a target. I’d love to just play games and slack off every day, but this is something we can’t skip.”
A white flash passed, and Bai Muxue successfully transformed.
She placed the magic-strengthened sun hat on her head to cover her conspicuously white cat ears.
As for her tail, Bai Muxue could tuck it inside her clothes.
The tail curled around her slender waist, and from the outside, unless someone looked closely, it was barely noticeable.
But the sensation coming from her legs told Bai Muxue that something was off.
She seemed to think of something, her expression changed, and she looked down.
Her legs were as white as jade, and without her noticing, they had become covered in a pair of white over-knee stockings.
“…?” If Bai Muxue remembered correctly, her previous transformation outfit should have had bare legs.
Why was she wearing over-knee white stockings now? ‘Is this normal?’
She hadn’t even worn white stockings when she went out this morning.
“Why don’t you come out and explain what’s going on?” Bai Muxue said to Bai Ye inside her.
“Ah, about this…” Bai Ye appeared behind Bai Muxue. “If I said I don’t know either, would you believe me?”
“Like hell I would.” This time, Bai Muxue couldn’t even be bothered to ask; she went straight to accusing. “It was you, wasn’t it?”
Bai Muxue’s suspicion wasn’t baseless.
After all, she had been turned into a witch by Bai Ye, and the magic she wielded belonged to Bai Ye as well.
Bai Muxue thought Bai Ye should be able to influence her transformation outfit too.
“You’re really misunderstanding me.” Bai Ye wore a helpless expression. “A witch’s or magical girl’s transformation outfit can only be influenced by the person herself.”
“In other words, your outfit changed because you wanted it to change.”
“?” Bai Muxue was puzzled.
She roughly understood what Bai Ye meant.
The gist was that because Bai Muxue liked wearing over-knee white stockings, her outfit had gained a pair of them.
‘What kind of joke was this? Was she the sort of person who liked girly outfits? No way, absolutely not!’
“Cough, cough.” Bai Ye coughed lightly to interrupt Bai Muxue’s spiraling thoughts. “Don’t dwell on the outfit change. We have more important things to do.”
“Fine…” Since Bai Ye put it that way, Bai Muxue didn’t think too much more about it.
She walked out of the alley and strolled down the street, looking for her target.
But noticing the puzzled looks from people around her, Bai Muxue felt confused.
“Why are they staring at me?” Bai Muxue scratched her head.
“…I suggest you look at the sky.” Bai Ye paused before saying that.
“The sky?”
Bai Muxue looked up, and only then understood what Bai Ye meant.
It was cloudy today.
If it were a bright, sunny day, pedestrians could understand her wearing a sun hat.
But on a day with no sun at all, why wear a sun hat? To block the wind?
A sun hat couldn’t block the wind anyway.
“Tsk…” Realizing this, Bai Muxue felt her embarrassment acting up, her toes curling slightly.
‘What should she do? She suddenly wanted to dig a hole and crawl in.’
“Come on, these are just small problems.” Bai Ye spoke up to comfort her. “At least your outfit is just a little strange, way better than those people doing performance art on the street.”
“Please don’t compare me to lunatics, thank you.” Bai Muxue raised a hand to tuck her wind-tangled hair behind her head.
The wind seemed a bit strong today.
“Those two over there look good. We can use them as our target.” Bai Ye suddenly pointed in a direction.
Bai Muxue followed Bai Ye’s finger and saw a man and a woman arguing there.
Both looked about twenty years old, around Bai Muxue’s age.
“Could they be a couple having a fight?” Bai Muxue began to guess without cause.
“Now that you mention it, that’s possible.” Bai Ye agreed with Bai Muxue’s guess. “But their argument has nothing to do with us.”
“At least we can collect more emotional power.” Bai Muxue stepped closer.
From this spot, she could faintly hear what they were arguing about.
It was pretty much what Bai Muxue had guessed.
“Emotion collection.” Bai Muxue raised her right hand and clenched it.
Two wisps of red mist rose from above the pair and converged into Bai Muxue’s hand.
This was the emotional power of anger. Now Bai Muxue converted it into magic, making her a bit stronger.
“Huh?” The two looked at each other, suddenly finding that they weren’t as angry as before.
So what were they just arguing about? Some trivial thing?
Not knowing what they had been fighting over, the two stared at each other for a moment, then successfully made up and left chatting and laughing.
“Actually, I’ve been meaning to say this for a while… why does your ability feel a bit off for a witch?” Bai Muxue suddenly spoke.
“Then what kind of ability do you think fits a witch?” Bai Ye asked.
“For example, Blood Rose’s ability, summoning a blood pool and tentacles out of nowhere, the kind that clearly doesn’t look like a good person’s.”
Bai Muxue began to describe with great enthusiasm.
“That just means I’m a good person.” Bai Ye put her hands on her hips.
“Like hell you’re a good person. What good person randomly picks a lucky audience member to become a witch?”
“Hehe.” Bai Ye chose to play dumb.
“Forget it, I can’t be bothered with you…” Bai Muxue knew she couldn’t win against Bai Ye, so she quickly dropped the topic.
“I just realized, instead of wandering the streets aimlessly looking for targets, we should go somewhere crowded to collect emotional power.”
Bai Muxue had just thought of this.
“Suddenly, you make a lot of sense.” Bai Ye’s eyes lit up.
“So you never thought of this before?!” Bai Muxue couldn’t help but quip.
“When I came out, I still had plenty of magic, no need to collect emotional power at all. I was just slacking off in this world and ended up getting hit.”
“Then I have nothing to say.” Bai Muxue spread her hands.
“So, where are you planning to go next?” Bai Ye was curious where Bai Muxue would choose.
Crowded places weren’t hard to find, like scenic spots, or schools, for example.
“School, of course.” Bai Muxue showed a confident smile.
“As everyone knows, students’ emotions are intense, especially when exams are coming.”
“You know a lot…”
“After all, I’m a student too.” Bai Muxue answered.
