Join the ServerThe taxi continued its journey, traversing the bustling city center before heading towards a vibrant, high-end residential complex in Yu Harbor City: Cloud Perch Manor.
This esteemed community served as one of the配套 residential areas for the municipal government and surrounding agencies, boasting stringent security and an elegant environment.
At the entrance, several female security guards, impeccably dressed in crisp uniforms, stood at attention with exceptionally standard postures.
As the taxi approached the automatic recognition gate, one of the guards glanced at the license plate. Her eyes then swept through the window to the back seat, after which she murmured something into her earpiece and executed a sharp, precise salute.
With a smooth ascent, the gate barrier lifted, and the female driver steered the car steadily into the complex.
Inside, the roads were wide and immaculate, flanked by meticulously pruned green belts and ornamental trees.
A diverse array of women ambled through the complex. Some walked their pets, others carried shopping bags, and many conversed in small groups of two or three.
Many of the women residing in this community were managers or professionals in various fields across the city.
Song Qinghuan’s parents were also among the city’s administrators.
Her ‘father’—Song Siyu, the mayor of Yu Harbor City—was a beautiful, decisive woman with a formidable reputation in municipal politics. [Note: In this context, ‘father’ refers to the husband in a same-s*x female couple, and will not be remarked upon further.]
Her mother, Lu Wenli, performed clerical work within the city government. She possessed a gentle and delicate nature, with exquisite, elegant features that lent her a petite and endearing appearance.
Song Qinghuan was the cherished offspring of these two remarkable women.
Her looks perfectly harmonized the distinctive features of both beauties: she inherited the striking brow and eye contours and the free-spirited, outgoing temperament of her ‘father,’ Song Siyu, while also possessing the refined facial features and graceful, gentle charm of her mother, Lu Wenli.
Soon, the car pulled to a stop in front of a building.
Song Qinghuan paid the fare, then promptly opened the door, stepped out first, and extended her hand with natural ease.
Lin Shishi’s cheeks were flushed, and her gaze darted away as she took Song Qinghuan’s hand and alighted from the car.
The soft `tap-tap` of the young woman’s heels echoed faintly on the ground.
Song Qinghuan pinched her nose with her fingers, taking several deep sniffs.
Lin Shishi bit her lower lip.
She muttered a soft, defiant sound.
“Hmph!”
Upon hearing this, Song Qinghuan turned her head, raising her meticulously drawn eyebrows.
“Oh? It seems your courage has grown quite a bit, hasn’t it? To dare to hmph at me—”
Lin Shishi instantly wilted.
She lowered her head, fixating on the tips of her white high heels, not daring to utter another word.
Seeing Lin Shishi revert to her timid, crestfallen demeanor, Song Qinghuan immediately broke into a smile, her voice softening.
“Alright, alright, I was just teasing you.”
She reached out to help Lin Shishi smooth her slightly disheveled hair and adjust a crooked ribbon. “When we go inside, don’t look too wronged, and don’t make it seem like I bully you every day, alright? When it’s time to greet my parents, remember to say hello, and smile. Did you hear me?”
Lin Shishi nodded timidly, responding in a small voice, “I heard you…”
“Good girl.” Song Qinghuan performed a final check of both their outfits, then naturally linked her arm with Lin Shishi’s once more. Lin Shishi’s palm felt slightly damp with sweat and cool to the touch.
Song Qinghuan squeezed her hand, leading her towards the building’s entrance.
The figures of the two young women disappeared behind the bright glass automatic doors.

Today, as it happened, Song Siyu and Lu Wenli were both at home.
The two beautiful women, clad in slippers, were nestled on a spacious leather sofa, watching television.
Midday sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting warm, dappled light upon the cream-colored carpet.
Lu Wenli wore a wine-red nightgown, leaning languidly in Song Siyu’s embrace.
Song Siyu, dressed in casual home attire, had her arm naturally wrapped around Lu Wenli’s waist.
An old film, *Recollections of Youth*, played on the television, but neither woman was watching it with much attention.
Just then, the sound of a key turning in the lock echoed from the entrance.
Song Siyu and Lu Wenli turned their heads simultaneously, seeing Song Qinghuan enter, leading another girl.
Lu Wenli immediately straightened up from Song Siyu’s embrace.
“Qinghuan, you’re back.”
She spoke, her gaze falling upon the unfamiliar girl. “And who is this…?”
Song Qinghuan, holding Lin Shishi’s hand, walked confidently into the living room.
“This is my roommate, and also my girlfriend, Lin Shishi.”
Song Qinghuan’s voice was crisp and clear, devoid of any hesitation.
Song Siyu paused for a moment, then smiled.
‘My daughter truly takes after me…’
‘So avant-garde, and so domineering.’
She rose from the sofa. “In that case, Shishi, please, come in.”
Song Siyu observed the girl’s slightly downcast lashes and the faint tremor of her lips, a sign of her nervousness.
It had to be said, Lin Shishi was truly beautiful.
Both stunning and adorable.
And… she seemed so familiar.
As if she had seen her somewhere before.
For a moment, Song Siyu found herself momentarily captivated.
“Shishi, hurry and come greet my parents.”
Song Qinghuan squeezed Lin Shishi’s hand.
Lin Shishi lifted her head, shyly looking towards Song Siyu and Lu Wenli.
Her eyes were as clear as a spring lake, yet held an indescribable allure.
She lowered her head, speaking softly, “Aunts, hello.”
“Come, Shishi, have some fruit.”
Lu Wenli immediately smiled, holding out the fruit platter from the coffee table.
Lin Shishi nodded, carefully picking up a small piece of apple and gently chewing it.
As she chewed, her cheeks puffed out slightly, like a cautious little animal.
Watching this scene, Song Siyu leaned in close to Lu Wenli’s ear, lowering her voice. “Sure enough, daughters grow up and fly the nest quickly. She’s already in a relationship.”
Lu Wenli smiled at her, her voice equally hushed.
“Weren’t you the one who pursued me so fiercely back then?”
With that, the two beautiful women exchanged a knowing smile, their eyes sparkling with an understanding only they shared.
“Mom, Dad, we’re going upstairs. Remember to call us when lunch is ready.”
Song Qinghuan winked at Lu Wenli.
Lu Wenli nodded gently. “Very well, go on and play.”
The two young women exchanged smiles, and Song Qinghuan, still holding Lin Shishi’s hand, turned and headed upstairs.
Lin Shishi’s posture remained somewhat constrained as she walked, her skirt swaying with each step up the stairs.
Seeing that Lin Shishi was still so timid and shy, Song Qinghuan finally couldn’t resist.
Upon reaching the second-floor landing, she suddenly bent down and, with a swift motion, scooped Lin Shishi into a princess carry.
“Ah!” Lin Shishi let out a short, startled cry, her hands instinctively wrapping around Song Qinghuan’s neck.
Song Qinghuan carried her, excitedly entering her bedroom, then kicked the door shut with her heel.
After a soft `thump`, a second girlish shriek echoed from upstairs—this time muffled within the room, but still conveying surprise and a hint of panic.
Downstairs, Song Siyu and Lu Wenli exchanged a glance.
Song Siyu’s lips curled into a smile, one filled with indulgence, understanding, and a familiar hint of mischief. “That much she gets from me,” she said, her voice laced with amusement. “Very proactive.”
Lu Wenli, however, blushed.
A faint pink spread across her cheeks, extending all the way to her earlobes.
“Hmph,” she scoffed softly. “So wild and domineering, without an ounce of chivalry.”
Song Siyu chuckled, walking over to Lu Wenli and wrapping an arm around her waist.
“If I were a gentleman,” she murmured, lowering her head until her lips almost brushed Lu Wenli’s earlobe, “how could I have ever won over such a beautiful little lady like you?”
The next second, Song Siyu also bent down, lifting Lu Wenli into the same princess carry.
“Oh my!” Lu Wenli let out a soft gasp. “What are you doing…?”
“Just reliving our youth,” Song Siyu replied, her voice brimming with laughter.
