Chapter 15: A Friend’s Wife

They returned to the dorm.

Song Qinghuan had Lin Shishi sit by the bed, while she walked to the window, took out her phone, and made a call.

The call connected quickly.

“Hello, Gu Meilan, where are you?” Song Qinghuan asked directly.

A cheerful female voice immediately responded from the other end of the line.

“What’s wrong, little Qinghuan?”

It was Gu Meilan, Song Qinghuan’s closest friend since childhood.

“My woman, your sister-in-law, has been bullied,” Song Qinghuan said, her voice laced with clear displeasure.

“My sister-in-law? Holy crap—when did you get into a relationship?”

Gu Meilan shrieked into the phone.

“Keep your voice down, or people will think you’re being… well, you know.”

Song Qinghuan rolled her eyes.

A burst of laughter immediately echoed through the phone. “That’s hilarious! I’m the one doing the ‘jabbing,’ not the other way around!”

“Enough with the jokes—”

Song Qinghuan cleared her throat. “Your sister-in-law is none other than my roommate, that petite, adorable girl with pigtails, Lin Shishi.”

As she spoke, Song Qinghuan’s gaze fell upon Lin Shishi.

Lin Shishi sat on the edge of the bed, her hands resting on her knees, her posture demure.

Upon hearing Song Qinghuan’s words, her ears flushed crimson again.

Gu Meilan on the other end of the phone immediately burst into hearty laughter.

“Oh, I know her! I saw her last time I visited. She’s truly adorable. Honestly, I wanted to pursue her back then, but you beat me to it. Ah, what a pity—such a fresh flower, just to be… inserted…”

“Inserted your head!”

Song Qinghuan roared in exasperation.

“Remember, a friend’s wife is not to be trifled with!”

“Exactly, a friend’s wife, no need to be polite…”

Song Qinghuan was so annoyed she almost threw her phone. Only after she threatened to end their friendship did Gu Meilan finally stop her teasing.

“Listen closely, Old Gu,” Song Qinghuan said. “Today, I ran into a little delinquent girl. When can you come over here? Help me teach that little b*tch a lesson!”

“There’s a delinquent girl at Yugang University? And she dared to bully you?” Gu Meilan’s voice was filled with surprise.

“Not me.”

Song Qinghuan’s gaze turned cold. “She bullied your sister-in-law.”

“But you know martial arts too, don’t you? You could beat her up yourself,” Gu Meilan said, chuckling over the phone.

From a young age, Song Qinghuan had studied judo and kendo. Furthermore, Song Qinghuan and Gu Meilan were not just close friends; they had also apprenticed under the White-Browed Daoist Nun in Huaxia, practicing internal martial arts for many years.

However, Song Siyu, the mayor, had always strictly forbidden Song Qinghuan from using her martial arts casually, as it would harm the Song family’s reputation.

Beyond that, Song Qinghuan rarely took action herself, which also related to her personal image.

From childhood, she had deliberately cultivated a gentle and refined persona.

Unless faced with an extreme situation, she would never resort to violence easily.

“Of course I could beat her,” Song Qinghuan stated.

“But I rarely make a move. You, on the other hand, are quite good at fighting. So, I need you to be my enforcer.”

A scoff from Gu Meilan came through the phone, but then she laughed again.

“Alright then—you two should make some time to come out. We can have a meal together; it’s been a while since we sisters last met. Plus, I can finally feast my eyes on my little sister-in-law’s beauty. *Slurp*…”

Song Qinghuan immediately heard Gu Meilan making a slurping sound.

She hummed in annoyance, then hung up the phone.

Song Qinghuan turned to look at Lin Shishi.

Lin Shishi looked up, her large eyes still holding a trace of unease.

Song Qinghuan’s heart softened. She walked over, sat beside her, and put an arm around her shoulders.

“Don’t worry,” Song Qinghuan’s voice softened. “Gu Meilan might be a bit crude, but she’s a good person and an excellent fighter. With her around, no one will dare to bully you.”

Lin Shishi nodded, whispering, “Actually… it’s really not necessary…”

“No,” Song Qinghuan’s tone was unequivocal. “My little pet was bullied, so of course, I, as her owner, must stand up for you.”

She paused, gently twirling a strand of Lin Shishi’s hair around her finger.

“Moreover, I need to let everyone know that you belong to me. That way, no one will dare to have any ideas about you in the future.”

Lin Shishi’s face flushed again.

Song Qinghuan smiled, then stood up.

“Come on, let’s go out for lunch. It’s a perfect chance to get you a prettier outfit, and we can change our mood too.”

Lin Shishi hummed in agreement, obediently stood up, and allowed Song Qinghuan to help her take off her dress.

As the dress slid down, it revealed her white underwear and equally fair skin.

It had to be said, Lin Shishi’s figure was actually quite shapely—her chest wasn’t large but full, her waist slender, and her hips rounded.

Song Qinghuan took a breath, steadying herself—to escape the impulse to pin down the little beauty.

Then, she walked to the wardrobe, opened it, and picked out a red miniskirt.

The skirt was truly short, reaching only to mid-thigh.

It was made of an elastic fabric, designed to be tight-fitting, clinging closely to her body’s curves when worn.

Song Qinghuan handed the skirt to Lin Shishi.

“Wear this then. After all, you’ll be wearing it in front of my good sister. It’s sexy, and it just so happens to cover the ‘words’…”

As she spoke, a sly smile appeared on Song Qinghuan’s lips.

Those adorable little words…

It wasn’t Song Qinghuan’s own idea.

It stemmed from the creativity of a certain mischievous imp.

After all, that’s how it was written in her novel.

Lin Shishi took the skirt, a hint of hesitation in her eyes.

Seeing this, Song Qinghuan added, “Don’t worry, with the two of us here, absolutely no one will dare to bully you.”

This reassurance made Lin Shishi feel a little more at ease.

She nodded and began to change her clothes.

Song Qinghuan also walked to the wardrobe and started choosing her own outfit.

She ultimately selected an off-white long dress, its hem reaching her ankles, with an elegant and generous style.

After changing, she sat at the dressing table, simply tidying her hair and reapplying some lipstick.

Comparatively, Song Qinghuan wasn’t fond of wearing short skirts.

After all, she considered herself beautiful and elegant enough, a gentle, graceful, yet formidable strong woman, not someone overtly seductive or cutely alluring.

That kind of cuteness and sexiness belonged to Lin Shishi—after all, the other girl was entirely a perverted little imp, merely feigning purity on the surface.

But it had to be said, when Song Qinghuan had finished getting ready and turned to look at Lin Shishi, her breath involuntarily caught.

Lin Shishi had already changed into the red miniskirt.

The skirt, as Song Qinghuan had expected, tightly hugged her body, outlining every curve.

The girl’s legs were truly perfect; the lines from her thighs to her calves were smooth, without a trace of excess flesh, her knees rounded, her calves slender, and her ankles delicate.

On her feet, the girl wore a pair of red sandals Song Qinghuan had given her, their straps wrapping around her ankles, making her feet appear even smaller and cuter.

“Turn around for me,” Song Qinghuan said, her voice a little hoarse.

Lin Shishi obediently turned.

The skirt gently lifted with her movement, then fell back down.

Her deep chestnut hair was not tied in pigtails today but flowed over her shoulders, the ends slightly curled.

However, the little bell seemed to be gone.

“Where’s that little bell?” Song Qinghuan asked.

“I took it off,” Lin Shishi whispered. “Should I put it on now, Master?”

“Put it on… You can wear it whenever Master is around. If Master isn’t here, you can take it off.”

Lin Shishi hummed, then obediently put it on.

Song Qinghuan walked up to Lin Shishi, gently lifting her chin. “My little pet is so obedient.”

Lin Shishi’s face flushed again, but she didn’t shy away from Song Qinghuan’s gaze; only her eyelashes trembled.

Once both were dressed, they left the dorm.

Gu Meilan was Song Qinghuan’s good sister. She wasn’t at Yugang University but at Port City College next door.

Compared to Yugang University, Port City College was just an ordinary higher education institution, inferior in both faculty and student quality.

“This sister of mine has always been terrible at studying, but she’s excellent at fighting,” Song Qinghuan told Lin Shishi as they walked towards the campus gate. “Don’t let her pretty face and ladylike appearance fool you; deep down, she’s nothing like that.”

Lin Shishi listened attentively, maintaining her docile posture.

Her outfit today attracted many passersby’s stares, but she seemed completely oblivious…

Or perhaps, she had grown accustomed to it.

Upon reaching the campus gate, Song Qinghuan hailed a taxi.

The taxi quickly carried the two girls to the entrance of Port City College.

Song Qinghuan paid the fare, and as they stepped out of the car, they saw a tall, beautiful girl in a blue halter dress waving at them.

The girl wore large sunglasses and silver stiletto heels. Her overall image and demeanor were quite striking.

This was not surprising; a girl who could be a close friend to the elegant and beautiful Song Qinghuan certainly wouldn’t be an ugly duckling.

“That’s Gu Meilan,” Song Qinghuan said with a smile.

No sooner had she spoken than Gu Meilan spotted them.

She took off her sunglasses, revealing a pair of beautiful, expressive peach blossom eyes that exuded charm.

She strode towards them, her high heels clicking crisply and rhythmically on the ground.

Gu Meilan reached the two girls but didn’t greet Song Qinghuan first. Instead, she rushed directly to Lin Shishi’s side.

“Little darling!”

Gu Meilan’s voice was filled with laughter. She scooped Lin Shishi up, holding her hips as if she were a child. “Your figure is amazing, and you’re so light!”

Lin Shishi was caught off guard and let out a surprised gasp, instinctively wrapping her arms around Gu Meilan’s neck.

This posture brought their bodies close together, and Lin Shishi could clearly feel Gu Meilan’s softness—Gu Meilan was clearly doing this on purpose, intentionally pressing her ample chest against Lin Shishi.

Lin Shishi’s face instantly turned bright red.

She bit her lip, not daring to utter a word.

She could smell Gu Meilan’s perfume—a strong rose scent.

Gu Meilan held Lin Shishi, turning a half-circle, before finally setting her down.

“This is my wife. Don’t you know that a friend’s wife is not to be trifled with?” Song Qinghuan’s voice rang out coldly.

She stepped forward and punched Gu Meilan’s shoulder—the force was not light.

Gu Meilan let out a yelp of pain, grimacing.

But Gu Meilan still argued playfully, “A friend’s wife means no need for politeness; that’s my style.”

Not only that, Gu Meilan deliberately leaned close to Lin Shishi’s face and took a deep breath.

“So fragrant! Oh, you’re just too alluring! Honestly, I deeply regret letting Song Qinghuan snatch you away first. You have no idea how much I’ve missed you since I last saw you.”

Lin Shishi froze, unsure how to react.

Song Qinghuan sighed, stepped forward, and swatted Gu Meilan’s hand away from Lin Shishi’s waist.

“Enough, stop messing around. Let’s talk business first.”
