Join the ServerHowever, Lin Shishi found herself utterly unable to concentrate.
Song Qinghuan was being mischievous again.
She bit the young girl’s ear.
It was intensely ticklish.
Lin Shishi bit her lip once more.
Song Qinghuan turned her head, whispering into Lin Shishi’s ear, “Don’t make a sound. Mom and Siyu are watching TV.”
As she spoke, she picked up a soft blanket from beside them and draped it over both of them.
From an outsider’s perspective, they simply appeared to be snuggled together, watching television, with nothing out of the ordinary.

“What’s wrong?” Lu Wenli suddenly asked, seemingly having heard something.
Lin Shishi hastily shook her head. “N-nothing…”
Her voice trembled slightly, yet Lu Wenli didn’t seem to suspect anything, merely uttering an “Oh” before returning her attention to the television.
Song Qinghuan, feigning ignorance, asked, “What is it, sweetheart? Is something the matter?”
Lin Shishi cast a resentful glance at her, her eyes clearly conveying, ‘You know perfectly well.’
But she dared not utter a single word.

The television was broadcasting a grand wedding, and festive music echoed through the living room.
Yet, beneath this joyful atmosphere, Song Qinghuan, hidden beneath the blanket, was naughtily pinching the young girl…

Lu Wenli turned her head again. “Shishi, are you truly alright? Your face is quite red.”
“N-nothing… nothing at all…”
Lin Shishi gasped, “Perhaps… perhaps it’s a bit warm…”
“If it’s warm, just take the blanket off,” Lu Wenli said, beginning to rise.
“No need!”
Lin Shishi quickly exclaimed, her voice so loud it startled even herself. “I like being covered…”
Lu Wenli gave her a strange look but settled back into her seat.
Just then, an episode of the drama concluded.
As the credits rolled and the outro music began, Lin Shishi whispered, “I… I need to use the restroom…”
She had to go, or she felt she would go mad.
She had to escape.
Her mistress was too wicked.
“I’ll go with her.”
Song Qinghuan immediately said, throwing off the blanket and standing up.
Lin Shishi let out a soft wail.
Song Qinghuan had caught up to her.
The two girls walked towards the upstairs restroom, one following the other.
Lin Shishi’s steps were a little unsteady; she felt her legs turn soft, almost unable to walk.
Song Qinghuan, however, supported her, a satisfied smile gracing her face.
“Trying to escape?”
“W-w-w… Mistress, please spare me,” Lin Shishi pleaded.
“Impossible, my dear. I’ll always, always have you wrapped around my finger—” Song Qinghuan chuckled mischievously.

Just as they reached the top of the stairs, Lu Wenli sniffed.
Song Siyu also sniffed.
The two exchanged a look.
****
Inside the restroom.
Lin Shishi looked up, a trace of moisture still clinging to her face.
Song Qinghuan paused for a moment, then squatted down, meeting Lin Shishi’s gaze at eye level as the latter sat on the toilet.
“How is it? My little Shishi, can you handle all of this so far? After all, we’re going to spend our whole lives together.”
Lin Shishi looked into Song Qinghuan’s eyes, which now held none of their usual playfulness or dominance, only sincere concern.
A warmth spread through her heart, and she nodded. “It’s fine…”
She spoke the truth.
While it could be awkward at times.
And sometimes she felt she couldn’t bear it, deep down, she could accept it.
The young girl truly enjoyed this feeling of being completely controlled.
She relished everything Song Qinghuan gave her—both tenderness and dominance.
Song Qinghuan immediately brightened; she embraced Lin Shishi and kissed her cheek.
“Since that’s the case, I don’t have to worry. Then we’ll continue as before. I’ll act out every scene exactly as written in your diary. In short, however naughty your little heart is, that’s how naughty I’ll become. After all, this is the image you wished for me, and I’m playing the part you designed, my little Shishi.”
With that, Song Qinghuan suddenly cradled Lin Shishi’s head.
****
Lin Shishi let out a soft whimper.
She had finally truly understood what it meant for a small witch to meet a great one.
Yet, strangely, she wasn’t repulsed; instead… she felt a hint of anticipation for the days to come.
After all, she had chosen this herself.
It was a fantasy from her heart, a scene she had secretly longed for on countless nights.
And now, all of it had become real.
The two girls remained in the restroom for quite some time until Lu Wenli’s voice drifted up from downstairs once more. “What are you two doing up there? Taking so long?”
Only then did they open the door and emerge.
When the girls returned to the sofa, Lin Shishi was surprised to discover that the original cushions had been quietly replaced.

Life at Song Qinghuan’s home was exceptionally relaxed.
Time, therefore, seemed to fly by.
Soon it was evening.
This time, both Lin Shishi and Song Qinghuan cooked dinner.
After all, constantly eating ready-made meals wasn’t ideal.
Especially since Lin Shishi believed she would likely marry Song Qinghuan and become her wife one day.
So, it was natural to make a good impression on her future mothers-in-law now.
She certainly didn’t want to be disliked as a lazy daughter-in-law, did she?
Due to Lin Shishi’s humble family background, coupled with her mother Lin Mo’s poor health and demanding job, Lin Shishi often handled the housework herself.
As for cooking, it was second nature to her.
That day, the beautiful little girl with twin pigtails swiftly prepared four dishes:
Steamed pork with glutinous rice flour, braised spare ribs, boiled shrimp, and scrambled eggs with tomatoes.
The color and aroma were generally appealing.
The taste was even more perfect.
In contrast, Song Qinghuan’s cooking skills were utterly dreadful.
Among all dishes, she could only stir-fry green vegetables, and even those usually ended up burnt.
Among all grains, she could only steam rice, and it was usually either undercooked or turned into porridge…
Therefore, when Song Qinghuan tasted the dishes Lin Shishi had cooked, she was almost overjoyed to death.
Finally… her adorable little pet had become a little chef.
The thought of returning from a walk with her little darling, then having her prepare a delicious meal, and afterwards, continuing to hold her little darling for some interesting exercise…
And in the distant future, perhaps even having her little darling bear a tiny little darling…
The idea of a happy life as a family of three.
Tsk, tsk. Song Qinghuan couldn’t help but smile.
Such a life was simply too wonderful.
In fact—
Not only was Song Qinghuan delighted, but even Song Siyu and Lu Wenli were visibly astonished.
“The taste is amazing!” Lu Wenli took a bite of the scrambled eggs with tomatoes and couldn’t help but give a thumbs-up.
Song Siyu was also incredibly moved.
They deeply felt that this young girl was truly a treasure.
No matter what, she had to stay and become their “daughter-in-law.”
They even imagined that if Song Qinghuan dared to change her mind and abandon this little girl, they would definitely engage in a “couple’s beating” session, then beat Song Qinghuan until she came to her senses.
Even if it was a twisted gourd, they would twist it!
In short, no matter what, this daughter-in-law was theirs for good.
Dinner concluded.
Having eaten her fill, Song Qinghuan decided to continue her mischief—
“My little darling, since your Chinese is so terrible, tonight I’ve decided to teach you how to write idioms—” Song Qinghuan said, holding a marker and grinning at Lin Shishi.
Lin Shishi’s face instantly flushed.
“Idioms?” Song Siyu, who was holding a thread-bound book and flipping through it with interest nearby, heard Song Qinghuan’s words and became curious. “Tell me, what do you plan to teach?”
“Uh, ah—”
Song Qinghuan paused, then said with a laugh, “Oh, loads of them!”
“Your Chinese isn’t great either, but since you’re so eager to play teacher, I’m quite curious what you can teach,” Song Siyu said with a smile.
This was not surprising.
Unlike China, the general population in Lanfang was quite terrible at mastering Chinese.
In comparison, many people were even better at English or Dutch.
But Song Siyu had a strong aversion to these remnants of the colonial era.
Precisely for this reason, she disliked the younger generation of students’ poorly pronounced Chinese and, even more, their error-filled handwriting.
Therefore, despite Song Qinghuan’s quite good Chinese proficiency, in Song Siyu’s eyes, it was still not acceptable.
At the very least… she believed that those who couldn’t even understand traditional characters and vertical script were simply unworthy of being called Chinese.

Seeing she couldn’t evade the topic, Song Qinghuan could only force a smile and say,
“For example, ‘golden rooster… stands on one leg,’ ‘hanging upside down… golden hook,’ ‘four horses… hard to catch’…
“What on earth are those?” Song Siyu was bewildered.
When she saw the mischievous glint in Song Qinghuan’s eyes, she couldn’t help but frown.
Utterly unproductive!
